In 2022 I had one of their Sr tax consultants help me with a non standard w2/tax issue. Their consultant was helpful and provided a written letter to do document the situation and provide to my employer. He also said that in 2023 we would have to correct the issue. Fast forward to 2023 I tried for 2 week to get ahold of the tax consultant to complete this issue. He never returned my calls. I even tried to talk to a receptionist and she could not get ahold of him. She advised that I come in to see one of the Sr tax consultants. I went to the appointment and explained what happened and the situation. He repeatedly said that there was nothing he could do, even after I provided a copy of the letter from 2022. After about 10 min of this and explaining the situation multiple time the Shockley staff keep saying not to blame him or get mad at time. At this point the rude behavior was more than I was willing to take, so I got up and left. At this point he used profanity and followed me to the door of the business verbally badgering me. He continued to badger me even as i was getting in my car. By advising me on a course of action and then the next not help does not leave me feeling that they are capable or knowledgeable about their services. The using profanity and badgering me as i left the business makes me feel like they do not have the customer's interest in mind.

The refund was large. I got the check from the IRS. The IRS told me that the tax preparer did not do the taxes correctly and explained why. So they just gave me a check minus $1,600. So, I decided to call Dayna Cotter. They would not return my calls. I left 3 messages and no one ever picked up when I called. They must have caller ID. All I wanted was an explanation. I got nothing from them. How rude is it when someone you paid to do a service doesn't even return your phone calls? I took the IRS as explanation enough. I advise everybody to stay away from this company. They do not know what they're doing and they deceive the public. If I could give zero Stars I would.
