It is an indoor mall with plenty of free parking. They also have a pretty big food court.

On Friday July, 29, 2022, @ 8:33, while waiting in a shady part of the parking lot for Marshall's to open, I was asked to leave by security. I told him I was waiting for the mall to open and was accused of loitering which is something only vagrants do. I then proceeded to inform the security that I lived nearby and got the response, 'I don't think so.' it was demeaning and insulting. I have tried to shake it off for hours now (it is 11:01 now) but can't' without leaving a review to this effect. If I was waiting in a car would I have been asked to leave ? I don't think so. As a senior I enjoy walking and keeping mobile and intend to keep mobile for as long as I can. This was a direct judgement upon my intentions for being at the mall. Yes, I had my supplies with me in a large travel bag but I certainly do not look like a vagrant. I feel disgusting and I did leave the mall because truly anything that's there you can easily get elsewhere. It's a sad thing to see such a once wonderfully welcoming mall become a place of suspicion. Moral of the story : if you enjoy walking and taking in the sites of the neighborhood, don't take a break in the private property of Aberdeen Mall to wait for it to open or you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

It is so small infact that with the exception of Jane's which is a sit down restaurant similar to Smitty's and Albert's there really isn't anything in here in the way of meal options. Still like most places the mall does have it's positives. For instance despite the fact it does have large chain stores in it there are still some excellent small mom and pop shops that have been there as long as I can remember that are still thriving like Bookingham Palace and Buggerbee's clothing store which specializes in brand name clothes like Roxy and Billabong. Also despite the fact they have a Starbucks the locals continue to show love to Chester's House of Cinnamon which is a small bakery/coffee shop. Yes it's no west Edmonton mall but it does have a decent amount of clothing stores,a library,grocery store,and has a wonderful warm vibe to it that comes from being a local gathering place. If you enjoy people watching there is lots to take in and I look forward to my next trip back.
