I love to come to this restaurant. The food is delicious and the variety of flavors of ice cream is incredible. The place is always clean and the service is fast and courteous. If there is something wrong with the order the owner does whatever it takes to correct the mistake and gives solutions to make the customer happy. I love the soup, it reminds me when i was younger. Great Food. We go there often mainly for the Cuban Pizza, Spaghetti & Crema de Queso.. YUM. The service is horrible though, which is the only drawback. They seem to always have the same lady serving all the tables and she's always running around looking like a chicken with her head cut off. My mom got FOOD POISONING after ordering delivery from here. Nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea for 2 days. She thinks it was the meat, which she said tasted like it was old. Yeah this place is alright. I used to go to Filer and it was a usual for me. Forgot all about until one morning I woke up with a craving for their icecream. They have the BEST rum-raisin icecream ever. Only 1.50 for a cup and you get a few toppings. Their pizza is good. Not great, nothing to brag about. They have daily cuban-style specials. I will never return here even though the food is OK. I refuse to give my business to these servers. They made a mistake on my order and when I (very nicely) asked them to correct it, they looked and spoke to me as if I had wronged THEM! Before I even asked them to fix my order it took about 5 minutes of me standing by the counter (where there were about 5 servers around at all times) and no one even looking at me. Picadillo with maduros pizza is awesome! This is thick crust pan pizza, which I normally do not like. However, this is an exeption. The taste is very good and the cheese on the edges is a bit burned (crispy), which I like. Their guava ice cream shake (suero) is the best we've had! They also have a good cream of cheese soup. The actual food is ok standard for Cuban food part (there are better restaurants out there) But the horrible service is what keeps me from coming back here. Always the same sloppy servers talking about the mother in laws, the Grand kids and the bingo slots and the customer is the one that suffers while they continue the "IMPORTANT"conversation at hand. 2 tables in the Restaurant occupied and it took 20 minutes for a checkup on whether I needed anything for my meal or water. They have two locations, but the one on 29st taste MUCH BETTER including the garlic rolls (wierd because you think the taste would be the same....but its NOT). The restaurant is very nice and clean. They have arcade games for the kids. The owners are truly pleasant and sweet people who make you feel right at home. The pizza and ice cream are phenomenal. They have so many ice cream flavors that I don't think I will ever be able to try them all. And they also create these amazing looking ice cream combinations with whipped cream, sprinkles, and cherries. Additionally they have a full restaurant menu ranging from pastas to steak. I was surprised to see so much selection with very reasonable prices. However, my favorite dish is the chicken soup, natural orange juice, mariquitas, Hawaiian pizza and the almond chocolate ice cream. The pork chops are very nice too. They also deliver for a nominal fee like $1.50 or something like that, which makes it very convenient on rainy days.
