It's not meant to be derogatory but as a compliment! The shoe section is huge! And I do mean huge! I went here today in the hopes of finding a really nice pair. To my dismay; I couldn't find what I was looking for. Back in the day it was very common to locate a pair or two or more of the Bostonian brand. Not any more! As a matter of fact I purchased a pair back in the late 1970's. It was my first introduction to Bostonian; and I loved them!I think they were 25.00 dollars at the time. Back then there was also a couple of department store's on Main Street in Gaffney. They sold Bostonian shoes for 100.00 a pair! That was a lot of money then!When Walmart came here; Main Street shutdown rapidly! No department stores or anything related survived. Guess what? Bargain Shoes survived; but they had to relocate away from Walmart! I was a bit disappointed in my trip here today as I didn't recognize any brand names in the shoes. They all seemed generic. I still would have bought a pair but nothing felt good on my feet! As you can see in my pictures Bargain Shoes stocks a little bit of every kind of clothing! All items are heavily discounted. I told my wife I needed a new pair of Sketchers. I don't know what came over her but she ended up buying me five pairs! Pardon the pun but I'm used to the shoe being on the other foot! As a husband and father I'm used to following them around various retail stores. Usually pushing the shopping cart for them. They would purchase several hundred dollars worth of things. I used to panic until I realized that in two days or so they would change their minds and return half of the stuff! As a guy, I don't shop for myself like that. I know what I need and I get it and leave! I told her I only wanted one pair. She's said all of my shoes were 50% off today only and some were 70% off regular retail. She said I need to replace all of my old shoes. I reminded her that unlike my daughter and herself; I don't change my mind and return anything ever! Hamrick's is a fully loaded clothing store for the entire family. This store is very similar to a Macy's but 1/4 the size. I kept thinking I was missing an entire floor but realized it's just small. One thing I noticed is the limited stock. Some items had one or two available, it was hard to find employees and even determine who worked there. Prices are high, my assumption is they are marked up in order for 25-60% off signs to be put up. A simple beach towel was $60 with 65% off- which is what I would normally pay. Overall this store is over priced for the same items you can get anywhere else. In a pinch you can find something but it didn't seem worth it.

There is not an option at either number to leave a message to have someone call me back. This is horrific customer service. As I'm looking around the place I noticed ladies clothes that I could tell were above par. This is an upscale place on a Main Street that could pass for a Mayberry episode! There was also a jewelry case ( costume jewelry) that looked genuine! Nothing cheap or trashy looking here. I complimented the owner and told her I would tell my wife about place. It's a shame to go to a mall and have so many empty stores. Definitely doesn't have that mall feel…read moreanymore. It's a ghost town too, not many people walking around. I like walking around once in awhile but it is almost not worth going here anymore. Not many stores that interest me anymore. They have a subway, chili fila and a Chinese place. Not sure if any other places but very limited not a good court like other malls. There is a pretty big shoe store. My favorite place is Marshalls & bath and body works. Outside there is a AMC movie theater & dollar tree not inside the mall. Unless you have a specific store to go to it's really not worth walking around inside anymore. It's a shame. Malls will be a thing of the past eventually people are shopping on line instead. I personally like walking around and seeing the item before I buy.
