My wife and I both love the Pottery Barn. About a year ago we purchased a couch, pillows, and mattress here. This is the first place the grandkids go when they visit our house. To date it has held up well despite it's I being used so frequently. We were impressed with the offerings at this store and we will return as a new need arises. The cost for this well made couch was very acceptable although I forget the actual price. This sofa has been on our screened in back porch and has held up extremely well despite being exposed to the elements. I recommend Pottery Barn for any casual furniture needs. read more

Some outlet stores don't understand the concept of "outlet store" meaning that they tend to have the same products and the same prices as they do in their regular retail stores. This Pottery Barn Outlet absolutely gets it. Prices here are excellent. Lots of "50% off the marked price" notes here and there, but there are also many "All sales final" signs posted. So if you do spot that awesome bar stool or wall mirror, it might be less expensive here but it's yours to keep. Furniture, accessories, tableware, all sorts of stuff here at Pottery Barn. Tip! Follow them on Instagram they will post all the specials and new arrivals. The specials are great, who doesn't love 60% off Pottery barn furniture! Check your stuff though it does get some scratch and dents. It is an outlet and everything is final sale!! You can't pay over the phone but can hold something for 2 hours. If you go and buy something big and can't bring it home right away you have 2 days to pick it up. I frequent this store often and will never pay full price at the regular store again. read more

Having recently moved into a new home I was excited to know there was a Pottery Barn outlet less than an hour and a half from Charlotte. I decided to take a Sunday drive and was there at 1:30, Sunday opening hour, when the doors open. As I entered the store I was surprised at how large it was, and the staff was extremely helpful and there were employees everywhere! Not only do they have typical outlet items, bedding, pillows, candles, etc. they have an extensive area of furniture and holiday decorations, Fall is already here. In addition I was surprised to see a lot for Kids! Overall the drive was worth it and the deals they have make it a nice, especially since most of these items in A regular Pottery Barn store are catalogue only. I only wish we had one at the Charlotte Premium Outlet ! read more

Lured in to the store with claims of discounts but discovered nothing but scratches and discounts of exaggerated prices. Watched the manager be rude to an elderly couple. Then ignored the rest of us. Asked about desk and told nothing arriving so all you have is stacked near the door, on top of each other.. Scratches and dust everywhere. Store dirty and no selection. Without cleaning this could be a real virus haven. Worst pottery barn store that I have seen. read more

Okay I admit it. I am that "diehard PB whore" the other guy mentioned!. But this place is awesome! It can be hit or miss, sometimes all furniture is 40% off or sometimes they have a ton of clearance items. And sometimes it's all regular-ish price (which is still way cheaper than the catalog). They definitely don't have all the items in the catalog, and it may be last season or have a ding in it. If you are flexible there are still a lot of choices. The super super cheap stuff is returned stuff it may have a ding or a hole in it. For 90% off though I'll take it out of the package, etc. When we moved in our house from a condo 2 yrs ago we didnt' have much furniture, so every time I went I found something that worked for a great or reasonable price. Some of the furniture I've gotten has been PB kids trundle bed for $699, Cole side table for $99, Cole tv stand for $99, night stand for $70, dining room table for $699, bar thing with sink for $599. Something like that. Curtains on clearance have been as low as $9 each (up to $40ish), duvet covers anywhere from $20 to $100, pillow covers from $2.00 to $20. And after Christmas I've gotten garlands for like $4. So if you want the bargains, just keep going back! You'll find something! Don't take it all though, leave some for me! read more

I don't know if it's a good store or not, because I couldn't get a wheelchair in past the front door in any direction. That's ok, wheelchairs don't fit everywhere - just know if you're mobility impaired, this store can't handle you even a little. read more

Great selection of sofas, chairs, ottomans, light fixtures and more in a large storefront at the Gaffney Outlets. Based on Pottery Barn full price, the markdowns are great. And, the longer it's there, the more the price drops. This I like! There's a chair I'd gladly purchase with another markdown, so will be returning to see if it's there after the holidays. If you're building a house or changing out light fixtures in your current home, this is a great place to check out. There's also rugs, lamps, lampshades, mirrors, and wall art. Have been going to this Pottery Barn Outlet for years. I can honestly say the selection has declined from what it used to be. Same size space, but now its more of the land of misfit items than anything. Staff service has also been a bit creepy the last few times. Seems that the staff sort of stares at you for a long time and after that offers a strange greeting (we came in twice through separate entrances). Parking near the store is also not ideal as it is where the main entrance dumps into the outlets and everyone clamors there for a spot near the front. I will say you can find a good item there, just don't go looking for anything specific or you will likely be disappointed. Hoping they get some more selection in the future and pump up the customer service. I wouldn't recommend making a trip here though unless you are doing some other shopping. read more

Absolutely the WORST, service experience I have ever had in my life. I often drive from Baltimore MD to Charlotte NC and USED to love stopping at the Pottery Barn Outlet in VA for a quick break on my drive through VA. I arrived around 5:10. Thinking, 45 min to check out the big tent sale! I immediately noticed the large white tent and could not see how to get in as all doors were closed but I could hear and see people inside . The "supervisor" opened a flap on the tent and let a couple out and when I approached her to enter the tent and take a look around she closed the flap behind her and took a combative stance to stop me from entering. She said." We are closing" I said ," It's 5:15." she gave me the "evil eye" glare and just shook her head, yes" I actually thought the Employee ( a supervisor no less, I was told ) was about to get into a physical altercation with me ! Very threatening body language. She clearly used bullying tactics with a combative stance and the dominant "evil eye"stare! It was actually creepy! I don't think I will ever make the effort to return to the Pottery Barn..... YIKES, Scary! Totally the opposite of Customer Service! More like bullying scare tactics to get people to leave because this employee was definitely leaving before closing time! I sure got the message," You are NOT welcome here!" I really feel sorry for her co workers . I am sure this is not the first time she used manipulative intimidation tactics. I do hope they read this and know that it is illegal to be bullied at work. read more

At least 90% of the things in this store, I would happily buy. It's like they're inside my head making things I want to own (but can't afford). I love this store. They do an excellent job of keeping fresh merchandise moving through. If you like something, buy it, because there's a ton of foot traffic through this place and chances are, it won't be there next time. The furniture is well built, heavy duty, quality stuff. Some items, especially seasonal items, go on sale or become marked down. There are red tag clearance items (some damaged, some not) that become less expensive the longer they sit on the showroom floor. Lots of sales associates around to help, whether it's pricing or helping load your vehicle. I buy at least two or three pieces a year here. read more

I'm a dude, so I probably don't have any business writing a Pottery Barn review, but after having spent 6 hours in a car to contemplate my relationship with PB, I figure I should put down some words. We went here looking for rugs, as the wife is a big fan of what they have at the local PB. Yes, the prices are excellent (20-60% off), but you must be a diehard PB whore to find anything you want to take home in this warehouse island of misfit home furnishings. Although they have a lot of rugs/furniture/housewares, it was pretty much just the ugly stuff. We did end up buying 2 small rugs that weren't what we wanted and a couple pumpkin shaped candles. We saved about 50% over what we would've paid at the local store, so I can't say it's all bad, but I don't think she will want to make the trip again. read more

We drove up to Gaffney from Charlotte not knowing what we would find but it turned out great. We got a west elm marble top table for $150 which was $502 MSRP. They will hold anything til the end of business day if you need it. Lots of holiday decorations already in November. They had dishes, glassware, throw pillows, couches and dressers, tons of linens, a separate kids area. Overall, a huge success. The only complaint I have is the customer service isn't there but it's an outlet so what did I expect? read more

Oh my word!!!! This is my all-time fave store. I'm slowly doing my whole house in PB. We've already bought 4 of the Manhattan leather couch/chair pieces. This store has the catalog stuff at 1/2 price!!! We bought a leather king sized bed frame and on and on. The stuff PB has is super top quality and this store carries all price ranges. Well, I don't live very far, so I have been know to frequent PB Outlet quite often. The staff is always pleasant and helpful...and you know they must pay attention to their customers because I can go back a month later and they'll ask me how I am, did the ______ I bought last time work out. They will Haley you find stuff and even let you know when shipments are coming n, although they don't always know what's on it. They have a huge selection of candle, votives and all the different types of holders. They have a PB Kids section loaded with really cute bedding ( from cribs to full size), back packs, lighting, beds and more. The store gets in furniture all the time, so if you see something you like and know you want, buy it because it won't be there when you get back. They sometimes will hold items for you, either the rest of the day or until the next day. There is always a selection of dining chairs, got mine there when there was a big sale...buy one chair get the second for 1 penny! So worth it. Lighting they have, but I think it moves quickly, so it's hit or miss, but they usually have shades. Plenty of pillows, all the different seasonal and every day throw pillows, insert sold separately- but they have them too! Oh and bedding galore, the greatest pillows and duvets, SOOO comfy. They have plenty of quilts, shams, duvet covers, euro shams, and of course it changes seasonally too. You can always find something there, or at least I can! Check on return policies prior to purchasing , certain things are final sale ( I think the furniture, rugs, and lighting are). So, good luck, happy shopping ! I know I'm happy when shopping there! I have been to the Gaffney Pottery Barn Outlet dozens of times over the years and while normally disappointed with the selection and prices I still enjoy looking for that bargain. Yesterday I found a dresser that was a decent buy with 40% off. I needed a bigger vehicle however so I said I'd be back tomorrow (today) to get it. When I was 45 minutes from the store I called and said I would be there in 45 minutes and the girl said in 30 minutes they would prepare the dresser and have it ready. When I get there nothing was done. I parked my vehicle on the side (I know the routine) and went right in and let this manager know I was there and ready to pick it up. He said to go to my car and they would be right out with it. I wait 10 minutes.....no one was coming. I walk into the back storage door and find a person sitting down. He asks who I was and tells me they will be out shortly. This time I stood next the dresser. No one. I go back outside and 2 more cars had pulled behind me and it did not look like they were being helped either. I go back in....see the original guy I talked to and he said soon. I got caught up in a couple texts standing next to the dresser....10 more minutes passed....no one. Now I am annoyed. I go outside again and both the other cars that had pulled up way after me are being loaded. Now I am really annoyed. I go back to the desk and all the managers were there and they could see I was angry. I tell them I parked my car about 40 minutes ago and no one has bothered to assist us. He snaps back they are very busy and have 4 runners bringing furniture out. I saw 2 guys out there. Turns out the managers had to bring the furniture out. The guy slides my dresser across the concrete floor about 30 feet.......to a dolly....what a toad. I go out to my truck wait another 5 minutes and they finally show up. Turns out my truck was a hair small.....but thats another story..haha. BTW they did not prepare or protect the dresser in any way nor was there any apology. They didn't even give me paperwork or sign anything that I made a pick up! Will this be the last time I go there? Heck no I'm a gluten for punishment and I hold no grudges......bad stuff happens sometimes. read more

I visted the Pottery Barn Outlet in Gaffney on Saturday morning. I walked up to the front door of the store at 10:03 and was surprised to find the doors locked. About this time I peered in the door window and saw all of the employees standing around the register as if they were having a meeting....several turned around and saw me standing there. A few more minutes passed and none of the employees moved to open the doors. Another customer came up to the front door and asked me what time they opened for business...I said 10:00 AM. We both looked at our phones and it was 10:07 AM. Finally, an employee came up to the door, opened it, and walked away as we walked in. The customer who was waiting with me turned to me and said "Nice greeting, huh?" My thoughts exactly. No "hello," no "good morning," no "I'm sorry you had to wait." I shrugged it off and went about my shopping and then proceeded to the register with my purchases. The man ringing up the sale was more concerned with telling me their return policy than he was anything else. He made sure he stated the policy, had me watch him circle the policy on the receipt, and then initial the return policy on the receipt. But he couldn't seem to remember to thank me for my purchase or he appreciated my business...simply handed me the bag and never spoke a word. By this time, I was mad enough to seek out a "manager" standing in a nearby aisle. I went up to him and asked him if he was a manger and he said "I'm one of them" with a slight attitude in his voice....as if I was bothering him. I proceeded to voice my complaint about the store employees lack of customer service (this isn't the first time this has happened here). He literally stood there and looked at me and didn't say a word...no "I'm sorry," no nothing. I was shocked. I stated what I wanted him to know and walked out. It was almost as if he was silently saying "don't let the door hit you on your way out." Believe me, I will be looking at Target and elsewhere for Pottery Barm knockoffs rather than give this store any more of my business. The regular store Pottery Barn associates could sure teach these outlet folks a thing or two! read more
