"Thank you" isn't big enough to say to "Team Big Horn Valley Ranch"!…read more From the terrific cabin ambience, comfortable-quiet sleep, delicious meals by Amber & Candice, amazingly beautiful dining/game room, greatest fishing-guide 'n expert, Chad and quality details in every way...NOBODY DOES IT BETTER! A GIGANTIC Thank You for our fun, entertaining, educational and great 3 days of fantastic fishing. Pixie & Rob

I had the pleasure of receiving the best during our week long stay at the Big Horn Valley Ranch…read more As part of a group of 8 very experienced fly fishers, we had a complete blast during our stay. We booked the all-inclusive fly fishing package and they took care of us very well. We each had our very own cabin, which were artfully decorated, very spacious and the beds transported us into dreams of catching bigger fish. I soon became very spoiled with the great tasting meals from the restaurant on property. Each day began with a full and hearty breakfast. They never repeated the same meal during our week long stay. After breakfast, the guides would pick us up in front. Renting a car was not necessary. The guides were very knowledgeable and only used flies which were working. They had us on fish the whole day. Lunch on the river was a fun time as all 8 of us ate together and shared stories of the morning. The afternoons became hopper time, hooking big browns alongside of the banks. We caught many 20 + inch trout! Dinners were so good, I ate everything they put in front of me. This scenario repeated for 5 days in a row. The servers were very attentive and I couldn't say no to the outstanding desserts. Also on property was a fully stocked fly shop. You couldn't ask for more. I would highly recommend the Big Horn Valley Ranch if you're with a big group or going solo. You will be treated very well. I look forward to a return trip to be with my second family.

As you drive in and see the grounds covered in flowers and grassy areas, you immediately know that the place is well cared for. The room was spacious (for a motel), the shower and bathroom were clean and well maintained. We loved it! If there is anything semi-negative to say, there is not always someone at the "front desk," but there is a phone number you can call if no one is there. That said, the front desk is in a lobby which is locked if someone is not at the desk. That means no access to ice if you needed it. We would definitely stay again and would recommend it to anyone.

Get away from the chain places. Take a chance and try a small-town motel, like the Cattlemen…read more It's an unusual property, about a block off the main street, in a quiet residential area, with only a few rooms, some of them pet-friendly, and at least one is a small apartment. That's the one I had. It's an older property. The front desk has limited hours. Check-in is simple, so is parking that allows parking in front of your room. You get a real key for your room. Cattlemen is not set up like a traditional motel. There are rooms on both sides of the building, but you don't realize it unless you walk around the property or have one of the rooms on the side street. I didn't hear any noises from any of the adjoining rooms, but the air conditioning might have muffled it. The room I had was a mini apartment with a full kitchen, big screen tv, sofa, kitchen table, a lot of closet and storage places. Although I didn't need any of that, I think this room would be a good place if I were in the area for an extended period of time or were traveling with kids. Being able to shop for groceries and have a meal in your room would be a nice break from restaurants. The bed and pillows were comfortable, the Wi-Fi worked well. There were only a couple of amenities in the bathroom but plenty of towels and hot water. There's a cute garden area in the front near the office and outside the other rooms on the side street. Some of the rooms on the side street have chairs outside the doors for guests to sit and enjoy their coffee (or other) as they watch small town life unfold in the residential area it shares. Cattlemen Motel is cute and quirky.

Horseshoe Bend Motel is a nice, non-chain place that has the quirky charm of an old school hotel…read morecommon in small communities. The front desk staff is small town friendly. It's well-maintained, has modern conveniences: a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, smart tv, and wi-fi that works well. There was an old fashioned looking radio to keep with the theme, but it also had blue tooth for a nod to the modern. The bed is comfortable but the pillows were a little weird: two were standard soft and two were heavy and filled with something that made them good for sitting up in bed but not for sleeping. Maybe that was the point because this room did not have a chair. The bathroom was separated from the room by a barn door that saved space although the bathroom was roomy enough. Horseshoe also provided a separate set of towels in all sizes for cleaning shoes, wiping off mud, or dealing with general messes. This was much better than those small disposable squares. There's only real keys for entry into rooms, with a big metal key chain attached, so it's unlikely to get lost. It's a nice break from the plastic cards used in modern hotels, but doesn't fit into the pocket as easily. Numbered parking for the room is right outside your door, sort of, but I'm not sure anyone was paying attention to matching room number with parking spot but you'll be reasonably close.

I can't recommend this place enough! Bobbi has really outdone herself. I can't wait to see what else she add's to the place! Boot Barn loves the Horseshoe Bend Motel!
