We were starving and tired after the drive with kids and had noticed Asao on the way to the falls - it was on a short list of places we drove by to go to for lunch after our short waterfall hike. We were the only patrons there the entire time we were there. They were starting to set up Christmas lights as we arrived. Our waitress was very nice - she didn't know English too well so called over another waitress or bartender to help communicate the menu better for us. We ended up ordering chicken tenders for the kids, and a combo order of pork, ribs, and chicken. Everything tasted incredibly fresh; however, I will be honest - I didn't particularly like the smoky flavor of the meat. Not at any fault of the restaurant- it just wasn't my particular taste. It's a bit too game-y in taste for me. The service was excellent. The setup and open air feel of the restaurant was great as well.
