Local Mexican spot at the edge of Apple Valley, just down the street from Apple Valley High. I use to come here all the time when I lived in Apple Valley. Now I only come when I am in town. It does not disappoint every time I come. It's still the tastiest Mexican food around. The food is still fresh and the staff is still awesome!!! I met the owner John (Lebron James fan) a few times and I can see why the customer service at this place is always on point. Usually when I come here I always order their carne asada burrito, but you can pretty much order anything here. They also serve delicious sea food and adult beverages to accompany your food. First and last time visit. Food was too damn pricey. Chicken nuggs were some fake processed food that I had to toss. Wet burrito was decent. Food used to be quite good. However, they raised their prices so much that I won't be back. This is a casual hole in the wall/fast food joint. Now priced like a nice sit down restaurant. I just paid $9 for a cheese quesadilla. It was $4 or $5 last time I was there. I looked at their new menus, prices jacked up across the board. Will stick with Chevos on 18 from now on. As a side note, it was 6pm and I was the only person there. I'm not the only one they've priced out. Updating again. I got the food for my wife. Just took a bite out of the quesadilla. It used to be bursting with white cheese. Now it's a mild cheddar with about half as much cheese. Pastor was burnt in the tacos. Such a shame. read more

I took a chance and tried this little place. We picked up a bunch of burritos and I ordered the costillitas (riblets) plate on a nostalgic whim. What a pleasant surprise! It was absolutely delicious! I will be back for these tender babies! Delicious, tender, mini ribs in a smokey, savory, sweet ancho chile sauce, served with beans and rice. I was expecting a bit more...food. Honestly there is just so much mexican food around, really damn good, cheap and filling that it is hard to keep up. The place is super clean and the staff really nice. Prices are fair, $6 for burritos, combos, pretty much everything is around that price point. I got the fish tacos with rice and beans. The fish was real, fresh and cooked perfectly. Rice and beans pretty much nonexistent and by the time I piled on everything from the salsa bar I couldn't say if it was great or non. Their salsa bar is fabulous! Huge selection, very fresh, a big bonus. The $1 bean and cheese burrito, lame. The al pastor burrito, tiny for $6. The carne asada fries also teeny tiny portion for $6. In all, if the portions were larger or the prices lower I would be back, not really worth it for me here. read more

These tacos are amazing.... No really.... The carnitas are a different style but delicious.... I also got the carne asada which is just as amazing.... Hahaha I keep saying amazing. We went there for the 1st time and got our grub on for time. It was delicious!!! The service was great and everyone was friendly. We ordered 1 carne asada quesadilla and 1 al pastor quesadilla. A carnitas tacos. A carnitas Huarache (spelled it wrong I'm sure). Where do I start on the taste?! Wow and grub from the first to the last bite! There is a salsa bar with a nice variety of some flavorful salsas!!! Gotta try the pickled cabbage salsa, that was my favorite. Oh, and the medium salsa has the right amount of heat. Not sure exactly what part of mexico this food style comes from but the seasoning has a flavor we didn't reconize. Ordered a torta and it just did not seem fresh to me. I ask my wife about her 2 piece chicken dinner and without giving my opinion she told me her chicken just didn't seem fresh. Chips and salsa was the best thing about our lunch. Had the small Tacos de lengua very tasty. They a great salsa bar with all the fixings and salsa from mild to hot tried them all and they where very good.
