Corporate Response where template was not even fully reviewed before sending...

I would like to add that it took a year for this review to get looked at. I did go back eventually and the storefront isn't too much better. The parking lot is still in the same condition, the dumpsters leak fluids into the drive through lane and parking area, and they still run out of sauces frequently from what I hear. Last time I went back, they didn't have salsa, and only two cilantro mayo for an order of three meals. Thankfully, they did get the order right and didn't charge me incorrectly. I have yet to go inside as the outside does not inspire much confidence that'll it'll be any better.

I don't normally review chain restaurants but this was a bad meal. Preforming my weekend tasks I needed to eat and recently heard Pollo Tropical sold Covina (fish), so I stopped in for a bite. I ordered the Covina Platter with Cesar Salad and Corn with Avocado Slices. I received my order and sat for as Rakim said "plate of fish which is my favorite dish". But a good piece of Covina is still a wish, because this was Horrible! The fish was bland and looked nothing like the pictures in the restaurant. Instead of slices of avocado, I got a chunk of something that tasted as if it was grown in an empty bathtub in an abandoned lot. It was bad! Tough and not exactly flavorless but the flavor that was there, is nothing you would want on your tongue. The corn was equally bland as the fish. The Cesar Salad was the best part of the meal. The young lady who took my order was very courteous. I did say I wanted to dine in. But everything was thrown in to go containers and to go bags. The one star is for the young lady taking my order and the Cesar Salad. I'm not sure why my past couple of visits have been not good at all but I'll find another Pollo or just forgo Pollo Tropical altogether.

I can literally survive off of Pollo Tropical without a problem. I altered between this location and the one by I-95 but as soon as I discovered the magic of curbside pickup, I found this location to be most reliable. First of all, round of applause for the solid hookup the kids meal offers. It's the perfect portion! My second favorite is the chicken caesar wrap combo. No other wrap satisfies me the way this one does. The next item I flock towards is the mojo pork tropichop with white rice. I order it before I head out and arrive just in time for the pickup time. #WinningAtLife I love the strawberry lemonade as a refreshment choice even if there's a surcharge for it. My favorite side item is either the fried yucca with the cilantro garlic sauce or the balsamic tomatoes in their full zesty nature. It's the only "fast food" that isn't really "fast food" and for that they get extra points.

I wish I was allowed to give negative stars to an establishment. Undoubtedly the absolute worse experience of any pollo tropical. The service was terrible. I am not a big fan of people making me feel like I am doing them a favor. The entire order was wrong 3 times and everything was thrown into the containers as if we were animals Avoid this restaurant at all costs

Half Chicken (dark meat only) Ask them for "fresh off grill" so it's juicy from the grill.

Went inside and thought it was a better idea to take some food home instead of the drive through. A young man took my order and I thought all was fine...Quarter Dark with rice and beans. Got home and low and behold...Quarter White. I'm guessing he wasn't paying attention when the order was placed or decided to not confirm the order or maybe he was day dreaming of leaving his job early... In any event...just very frustrating when low level employees can't get their job done right...now I guess I need to go through every box before leaving the counter next time...Had the same similar experience at Smoothie King right before I came here. Can't ya'll do an easy job the right way? Am I asking for too much? Damn... Plus there was a hair in my food in the Tropichop...unbelievable.

I'm writing this as I currently stand in the line to order my food. This place is yummy and affordable but definitely not convenient AT ALL if you are coming for a quick lunch break. I was in a line for more than 20 minutes! Then to find out that there is only 1 cash register taking orders when there's a line of 15+ people! Don't understand the point of having 3 registers and only one person taking orders.... Even the girl taking down the orders would stop and go prepare food at times! As far as the food i ordered, it was pretty good. I tried the new churrasco bowl and didn't disappoint. Although it came without the chimichurri sauce at first. When I asked one of the employees she said that they didn't have that sauce luckily I guess the a manager heard me and went to go grab one for me.

Slowest service on earth, I think that the chicken is always so dried out because of the slowness of the staff. Really, if the food tastes good you are lucky but just as often it doesn't. I go there regularly for my mother in law but every time I waste easily 20 minutes of my time standing in line no matter weather I go inside or take the drive thru. Update: December 5 This is getting ridiculous, it's not that busy and the waiting times are getting worse, I thought the manager was going to improve the service, now they don't even have chicken ready. Who is running this place??

Grilled crow (or as they claim a quarter of a chicken).

It's rare to find a spot that draws you back 24 hours later, but this place is a total standout in Miami. Despite having a larger group this time, we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The service was excellent from start to finish--attentive, friendly, and perfectly paced for a family dinner. We kicked things off with the Cuban sampler, which was the perfect introduction to the menu and got everyone excited for the main event. Every dish that hit the table was a hit: the Red Snapper was incredibly fresh, and the Chicharron de Pollo had that perfect crunch. My wife really enjoyed the Chicken Milanesa, but for me, the Paella was the star of the show--rich, authentic, and packed with flavor. It's safe to say everything was delicious yet again. We've officially added this to our "must-visit" list for every trip to Miami. If you're looking for a meal that feels both high-quality and welcoming, you can't beat this spot. We'll definitely be back!

It has…read morethree locations in Miami, with this one in North Miami being the original, opened in 1991. We dined in, and the visit blew away the food from the previous week. I really like Cuban sandwiches, so will be something my brother and I keep seeking out during short visits to Miami. We had a one-day rental car, so found Little Havana Restaurant, coming a bit after peak lunch time. It's on a major street, with surface angled parking in the back. There are a lot of wild birds in the area, with their guano being everywhere outside. It's a big dining area inside, and we were immediately directed to a prime location with views of their small lush adjacent green space, and the birds that live there. Elizabeth was our server, with water and complementary rolls being immediately offered by helpers. She and her team were great throughout, offering suggestions and bringing the food nice and hot. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu (11:30 - 18:00 M-F) and the Lunch Special Menu (11:30 - 16:00). We were greatly satisfied with every dish Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, appetizer size ($14.99) - 5 jumbo tail-on shrimp, sauteed in a scampi type sauce. It's what you expect when you douse good shrimp with a butter garlic sauce. The appetizer does not come with rice/beans, but we had plenty of it from the other dishes...loved spooning the sauce over the rice while eating. Roast Pork Lunch ($12.99) - what a deal. A dish of pulled pork with a big piece of fried pork skin on top...reminded me of the Filipino lechon, or even the Hawaiian kalua pork, with the tenderness of the mean. It came with a big scoop of rice and a bowl of red beans. Lamb Shank ($18.49) - This was recommended by Elizabeth when asked by my brother, what he shouldn't miss. It's a Cuban special, cooked in wine sauce. It was a big piece, still on the bone, coming with a big plate of rice and fried plantains. He enjoyed it, though he was struggling a bit at the end. Cuban Sandwich ($12.49) - A full size Cuban sandwich, cut in half. It had been grilled on a sandwich press with a little oil, resulting in the cuban bread being crispy at the top. It had the right mix of that same delicious pulled pork, along with ham, melted swiss, mustard and pickle slices. It was very good, great value for the price. Paying was done at the top, and we intentionally did not take any leftovers. There is a framed newspaper article from 1991 in the lobby, where you can read more about their origins.

Also it's a bit out of the way if you live in Miami/Kendall so take time out if you're going during the week. Food was phenomenal. Started with the pan de yuca it's a must get. First things first, reservations are more or less necessary, so I highly recommend making one. When you first walk in, you are immediately greeted by the host who guides you into the dining area. This area is relatively small, but good enough for small groups or parties of 2-4; additionally, it's an inviting atmosphere, perfect to enjoy a long meal (which you will need, more on that in a bit). The menu has a wide array of options; you can find some snacks for around $15, then ceviche for ~$25, and mains ranging from $40-65. So be prepared to spend $40-50 per person. During our visit, we tried two ceviches and el pincho. The ceviches were incredible, easily the best "red" ceviches I have ever had. Each bite was a blast of flavor and textures; you can taste the freshness, feel the crunch, and enjoy the combination of flavors. As for the hanger steak, it was quite high quality, perfectly cooked, but nothing out of the ordinary; it lacked that special twist that the ceviche had. Another exceptional part of the experience was the service; although food takes a long time to be ready, so be prepared for this. Our servers made sure we had a great experience from being careful about allergies to making recommendations; simply 5 stars. All in all, Cotoa is definitely a 5-star experience when it comes to the "Pacific" dishes, really something delicious and unique, while some of the other options left a bit to be desired. I have to go back again and try some of the other entrees and will adjust this review as needed. My Criteria 5 stars: The best food I have ever had, or an excellent option given the price. 4 stars: Good food, a restaurant I look forward to trying again. 3 stars: Good food, a restaurant that I am indifferent to. 2 stars: Below average experience, will not go again. 1 stars: This restaurant should be closed.
