They need to make a bundle that's for sure, it is a lil expensive for fast food but Pollo Campero never disappoints! The chicken is always crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The sides are fresh and delicious, and everything tastes like it's made with care. The prices are reasonable for the quality and portions you receive. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and provided quick service even during a busy time. If you're craving flavorful fried or grilled chicken, this is definitely a place worth visiting. I read more

The food was good... but I found it a little pricey . 12 pieces of chicken with 3 sides and bread for 52 bucks with two drinks. I wish they had coleslaw and they were out tonight. Next time I would def come but for just maybe nuggets with no sides. read more

My husband had tried a different location few weeks ago and raved about the chicken. So we saw this location on our way to the airport and decided to stop to eat. The place has a fast food vibe. You order and they give you a number and bring the food to the table. We ordered the 12 piece meal with 3 sides. It was so much food. I saw another review saying it was expensive but honestly the chicken pieces were huge. We ordered both fried and rotisserie and they were very juicy. The fried was our favorite. Crispy on the outside without it having that thick oily crust and the inside was tender and ver juicy. The rotisserie had a different seasoning. It was very good but a little to much seasoning for our taste. the fried was just perfect. As sides we had coleslaw, fries and fried yuca. It also comes with rolls. The coleslaw is amazing. The service was good. The lady who brought our food to our table was nice. I was positively surprised at this place. If you are looking for a fast but delicious option this is it. So much better than other fast food chicken places. We were 3 eating and we still had 3 huge pieces of chicken and yuca to take home. Recommended! read more

I ordered food from this place via DoorDash because I was craving fried chicken and they have good reviews. The bag came sealed, but when I pulled out the box with the chicken, several ROACHES came popping out!!! And when I looked into the bag... probably more than 50 ROACHES OF ALL SIZES CLUSTERS IN THE CORNERS!! This is UTTERLY DISGUSTING!! I immediately threw everything away. If this is coming from their restaurant... Can you imagine what's in the kitchen?!?? I could just vomit! I swear I feel them crawling all over me!! read more

I've had pollo campero in sf. Was expecting this location to be even better than sf. Was sadly disappointed. Firstly, the menu is completely different. I'm guessing its to appeal to Americans? The fried chicken was good. I get this is a fast food place, but it just tasted like that-fast food. Definitely like the sf location. It came with sauce which sf also didn't have. The sauce tasted like honey mustard which overpowered the seasoning from the chicken. It was so wrong. Mash: was so very wrong. Tasted like instant. Or maybe yucca? Yucca fries: very stale. Tasted very old. Didn't like it at all. Overall, I get that they're trying to appeal to the demographics here and maybe it works for them, but wasn't my cup of tea. read more

Guys, I just had the most mind-blowing chicken experience at Pollo Campero! Seriously, it's next-level delicious. Their crispy chicken is off the charts amazing! I first discovered this hidden gem in Dallas, Texas, and let me tell you, I was hooked from the first bite. The flavors, the crunch, everything about their chicken was unforgettable. So, imagine my shock and excitement when I found out we have a Pollo Campero right here in Miami. I legit swear I never had chicken like this place right here. Their sides are also amazing especially their Campero Rice. I'm not exaggerating when I say it's the best crispy chicken I've ever had. The crunchiness is unreal, and the flavor is out of this world. Every bite is like a flavor explosion in your mouth. The chicken is so tender and juicy, it also has this amazing blend of spices. KFC chicken doesn't compare !!!! If you're a chicken lover like me, you need to get yourself to Pollo Campero ASAP. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Also, side note , they serve your food here and throw your food away so it's always best to tip those who do the job for you. read more

I got the 3 piece dark meat combo with fries and a large horchata. The crunch of the fried chicken is delicious. The breading is not too heavy. The horchata is a bit sweet and is not authentic but it will do. The sweet chili sauce was nice to dip my chicken in. My 4 stars is due to the fact that they were closed for like 2 weeks. Apparently they are currently under renovation. They have one table with 2 chairs which forced us to take the food home. read more

Ordered from here last night (6/28/20) based off of a customers review. We ordered through UberEAts. 12-piece meal. 1/2 fried chicken, 1/2 grilled chicken. Not sure which one I liked better? Both different flavors. Both equally as great! To my great surprise the chicken arrived still hot. Flavor was outstanding on both. Sorry didn't get a picture of grilled (next time). This chicken was so crunchy and flavorful. I will never go to the other places again! This is my new chicken spot. Thank you to the customer that recommended it. read more

The food and service were amazing! We tried the chicken, egg, and cheese breakfast sandwich. Wow!!! Best fast food chicken sandwich I've had to date. Also, got a 4 pc individual meal also delicious. Food was fresh and worth the drive. Wanted to get chicken breast so had to wait a few minutes. 100% worth the wait. This was a busy Friday night and the gentleman at the front counter was so patient and happy to give recommendations when asked. Their horchata NEVER disappoints. The recent remodel in the dining room made it very welcoming and a joy to wait in while pure food was cooking. Next time we are in the area we will be back. Great prices, but slow and unfriendly service. Three families went here to get our food to go. We had to ask for plastic ware. The first time the side of fried plantains was burned. The second time we decided to eat here, we had 12 people in a van, on our way to the beach. We asked for two things: paper plates (which we were told they had run out of!), and to please make sure the fried plantains weren't burned. Guess what, it's almost as if they made SURE they gave us burned plantains!!! They tasted awful! Had we been a different type of people, we would have gone back and drop that on their door. Not coming back here read more

I used to eat at this chain all the time in Central America and love that there is one in Miami. I wish there were a few more around. I try to eat there every time I am in Miami. It's been Groupon time of week, this is my second time at this establishment, I totally almost forgot about this place. I went with my hungry teen growing boys, I wasn't really in the mood to cook and since I had a infamous Groupon, I said dinner will be at Pollo Campero. Pollo Campero is really easy to find, right off south west 8th street and 28th Avenue. When we got there it was pretty packed with people. I was wondering on where I was going to sit at with my boys, but I saw one of the workers quickly clearing the tables that were empty. I tried looking at the menu online and it wasn't much help and Yelp helped me out a little bit. We finally decided on a 8-piece family meal for $22.99, it came with two sides. (I got 6 pieces fried and 2 pieces grilled for me) luckily, the black beans and rice equals to side, french fries, and you had the options of getting rolls or tortilla, the kids opted for rolls which they did not eat. I opted for a healthier side and ordered a street corn salad. I saw that pretty much the chicken was in a warmer, so it wasn't fresh fried chicken or the grill wasn't that fresh either. I paid for my meal and a sever took our meal to the table. I noticed that they had a condiment cart, which was a little messy as you can see in the photo I took, they offered pico de gallo, onions with cilantro, mild sauce, and a hotter sauce. I served myself a grilled drumstick and a scoop of the street corn salad which was a combination of grilled corn, avocado, onions, and I'm guessing cotija cheese, I wasn't a fan and it did not taste fresh to me either. I then opted for the blacks beans with a little rice and that tasted way better than that corn salad. I ate my portion of my meal and when I looked up my sons only left one piece of chicken and about four pieces of fries (LOL). I really liked the seasoning of the chicken, it was something different from restaurants like La Granga and Pollo Tropical. The establishment is a little small and it can get very congested really quick if a couple of customers come through. I would like to come here a little more and try the other things on the menu. They offer daily specials on Monday-Friday and drive-thru is also an option if you are on the go. I'm definitely returning read more

Recently ate at this establishment. Wife and I arrived around 9:30pm on a Friday night. There was a 3 piece chicken dinner that offered 2 sides. We both ordered this option and was told there was no white meat available. Only dark. After questioning this I was told there was white meat but it was still cooking and we would need to wait 10-15 min. I said that was fine. We added sides (beans, Mac and cheese sweet potatoes and something else which was NOT French fries. We waited about 20 minutes for the food to arrive and just before she brought it over she came over and tried to tell us she was out of items. She did not speak English and we struggled to engage in conversation.we had no idea what, other than Mac and Cheese, was no longer available so she said Fries about three times. So, we said "ok Fries". So 5 minutes later she came out with the chicken and 4 orders of fries. I said what? Nothing else is available? She gave me a strange stare and shrugged. Don't take an order if you have so many items unavailable. Also, have someone there that speaks English. To boot, we were rushed out 5 minutes after we were served and one of the 4 pieces of chicken wasn't even fully cooked. read more

Tonight I got to experience the chicken tenders from here at the Burger Beast's Luv Me Tenders event at Magic City Casino. These tenders are delicious!! Of the 12 venders that were present, I only enjoyed two venders and Pollo Campero was one of them. The staff that was present was super nice and informative. As I had a lot of question about their restaurant, location and other menu items. I will definitely be checking this restaurant out in the near future if for nothing more than the chicken tenders. I am telling you, you will not be sorry!! read more

Bro, those chicken drumsticks are on point! I found out about this place as I drove by it a few times thinking of its resemblance to the chicken restaurant in "Breaking Bad" for its similarity in name. No wild semantics here, just good ol' chicken! The camperitos aka nuggets are fried and crispy morsels of delicious white meat chicken perfect for the kid in you (and the one in the backseat) and come paired with plenty of combo styles with filling sides. It might be considered fast food but it's certainly healthier and more wholesome than other spots in the area. I grabbed a few chicken empanadas as well which were super flavorful and made just right. The way they season and prepare their Peruvian style chicken makes the wait worthwhile! I suggest ordering the half chicken entree as it can feed a few or make a great leftover box. The interior isn't that large but I do suggest eating inside since food this good is best eaten freshly served. read more

The chicken was delicious, but the most exciting part was the wide variety of sauces that you can choose along with the meal. I got the campero, buffalo, ranch, sweet chili and avocado ranch sauces. Pollo Campero is a mucho famoso chicken establishment. The first time I had Pollo Campero was at the grand opening of the Elmhurst, NY (the Hialeah of NY) location back in 2004. We ended up waiting 3hrs on line and it was juicy, succulent, and flavorful - possibly the best chicken I've had. The Z100 Elvis Duran morning show was constantly raving about it, Scary Jones stated "Pollo Campero no comparo" infering that no chicken compares to Pollo Campero. Passed by on the way to Home Depot and saw it packed with South American customers. Hungry from all of the manly work I've been doing around the house, I ordered the #4 Grilled 1/2 chicken. It was spot on. Pollo Campero's secret marinade was infused throughout the juicy and tender chicken breast and thighs and although I was full, I had no problem pushing myself to finish the quite ample and plump chicken breast. The yuca side was absolutely amazing, they use the same technique I do at home. Par-boil and then deep fry resulting in a crispy exterior and a smooth creamy interior. You cannot find yuca fries like Campero's at any other establishment in Miami. Cuban restaurant yuca almost always makes me nauseated. They no compero! Don't let some bad yelp reviews deter you, I passed this joint probably 20 times before I gave in to finally give them a try. No regrets. read more
