My roots, however, were getting long, my highlights were growing out and my ends were a bit frayed/losing shape on the layers and I felt like I needed a change/lift during winter. I wanted something brighter OR something that would be easier to maintain- I was definitely open to either one but SUPER nervous about trying someone new, especially being outside the NYC metro area where great quality salons are on each corner, basically. I took that for granted, by the way, I now realize!!!!!!! Before I tell you about the amazing colorist I was with, I have to tell you that they carry an awesome line of products just like Joseph Christopher or any other 5 star salon in Manhattan or Long Beach. They also had super cute earrings (yes I bought two pair of costume earrings and an adorable hand-made bracelet AND a pack of hand-made greeting cards - made with stamps/scrap-booking stuff....one of a kind, super cute thank-you cards and thinking of you cards for friends back in NY).......it's just a super cute selection and adorable little salon. I walk in and smiles are all around......everyone is welcoming. I sit down for a talk/consult with Scout, who I found through a girl with adorable blond hair that I met at the local CVS......LOL......that was all I needed- to see someone with good, blond hair and knew I could trust her colorist/stylist......I was in...... Scout took her time to hear what I've done in the past and liked, what I have had done and didn't love, my favorite and least favorite things about my hair and style.......we covered all bases. Scout took her time while working on my hair and made me feel comfortable and welcome...she was very detail oriented and consulted with other colorists to confirm she was making the right decision with the products she was using and methods would give the desired result. I ended up with a full head of foils and she PERFECTLY blended my natural, beautiful, beige blond hair in a sleek, smooth style.....OH she put a toner on to blend everything together (and we were SO THRILLED with the results that Renee, the owner, and Scout (my colorist and cutter) took pictures of my hair as an example photo for those seeking a perfect blonde shade :) I'm thankful that G-d blessed me with this hair and SOOOOO THANKFUL to have Scout and Renee's Salon to maintain this head of hair LOL....... I have to say that I was pleasantly delighted by both the staff and the salon. The salon doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let it fool you! The only issue I could see is that the staff is currently very small and walking in without an appointment could be a challenge. Highly recommend!!!
