I entrusted my two dogs to the care of this establishment for 9 days a few weeks ago. When I picked them up they were both sick. Not with Kennel Cough but a bacterial infection. My vet can't really say why but obviously they were not in a clean environment. Because of Covid-19 you would think there would be protocols still in place. As they probably are great at grooming I will not trust them again with my girls in any form again. Don't use the boarding facility, you don't know what you might be bringing home with you. read more

My family and I just moved to Southern California, and as we try to find a new place to board our dogs for an upcoming weekend trip, we find ourselves missing the wonderful staff and facilities at the Polished Pet. For the last 4 years during holidays, weekend getaways, and long vacations, we always knew our two dogs would be in the best of hands with Nancy and the other staff members. As the last reviewer noted, the facility is clean and organized. The real test had always been how the dogs seemed to feel, look, etc., when we picked them up, and each time the dogs were healthy and happy. If you're looking for a "doggie resort," this is not the place for you. But if you need a safe, clean, caring environment for your dogs that will give you peace of mind while you're away, you should definitely check it out. read more

My fiance brought both of her dogs, a yorkie, and a miniature pinscher here. Was our first experience here. We haven't found a place we've liked for a while that had met our standards. When we arrived we could barely hear ourselves giving directions to the groomer. We arrived around 9:30 AM. They told us it would be in the early afternoon when they were done. We went and had breakfast and came back around 12:45. Not only was the miniature pinscher not washed or groomed, but the yorkies hair cut was awful. He has a 2 1/2 inch scratch on his belly and did not have his ears and eyes cleaned thoroughly and was very scared/skidish. And as soon as we got home they both took big poops and went pee for a long time. Which indicated to us that they had been in those cages almost the entire time. And hadn't been let out to go to the bathroom. We will not be taking any of our animals to Polished Pet again and I would strongly advise the same for any animal lovers. read more

Puppy paradise! I have brought 3 dogs & two cats here for almost 18 years. The location is easy to get to & asset to the town. We have used them for pet boarding from over night to over a week stay. One of our prior cats was diabetic & required insulin, polished pet took wonderful care of him. It's nice to bring our pets someplace that the staff really cares about their safety. We just picked up our Yorky terrier after a 12 day stay in their facility. This is the second time We picked her up with wounds. First time she had teeth marks on her head this time she had a bloody foot. Also her leash was chewed in half and her buckle chewed off of her harness meaning that they just left those in the cage with her. After paying them over $300 for the stay not a word was mentioned about the damage of her leash and her harness which we will now have to replace. The people are non-caring and rude. We will not be back there I hope you take my advice and don't go as well. For the safety of your animals please take heed. read more

I recently had my dog with me on a business trip to California. I wanted to find a place to keep my dog during the day while I was working. The Polished Pet was up the street from the hotel. By the 5th day my dog was jumping out of the car to run into the facility. The Polished Pet is clean and well maintained. If you need a place to keep you dog for the day or over the weekend. We used the kennel at The Polished Pet for the first time this past weekend, we have 4 dogs I have 2 English Mastiffs, a chihuahua, and a pit bull. When i gave my babies to their staff, all 4 were so excited to go to The Polished Pet and with the staff!!! This made my husband and I feel at ease leaving my babies. Upon returning home my dogs were happy, they ate all their food(normally they wont eat). The staff and everyone at the Polish pet were so friendly and helpful and i will definitely use them again and i also HIGHLY recommend anyone who loves their pets to use THE POLISHED PET!!! I used to bring my puppy here years ago and was pleased with the service & pricing. However, when I called today to make an appointment for the newest addition to our family, things had sure changed! There was so much noise in the background, it was hard to hear and the girl who answered the phone knew nothing about grooming or pricing and abruptly handed off my call to "the groomer". "The groomer" was rude, hurried, and informed me there'd be a six week wait. It seemed as though she didn't care to gain any new clients. Six weeks of waiting for *this* kind of service?! That's laughable. I can only imagine how a dog would be treated if they are this rude to someone who can actually talk back. Since they don't need or care for my business, I'll definitely be going somewhere else! read more

Dirty, disorganized, smelly, and loud are just a few words to describe this "business." Animals are everywhere and the noise from barking dogs is deafening. The rooms of this converted house smell like that of an animal hoarder. Nothing is labeled, so items are lost when animals are brought in. The billing and customer file system consists of manila folders piled on a disorganized desk. Customer relations are nonexistent; the owner is rude and dishonest and does not offer apologies or acknowledge any wrong-doing when something goes wrong. For $16 per day kenneling - no matter what time you pick up or drop off - this is the worst possible place to bring your pet. read more

It was a hot day and they had fans on the dogs, they also got my dogs back to normal, by doing their feet and nails and anal Glands which had been neglected by a previous groomer.
