I wavered between 3 and 4 stars on this one. Husband and wife - Hanos (sp?) and Michelle made me feel very welcome. The salon is very open and appears clean and well maintained. The chairs are older (cracked vinyl, missing buttons), but they assured me that they have new ones on order. I just always wonder why they put customers in 'suspect' chairs when other chairs are available. Their basic pedicure does NOT include a callous treatment and hot towels (which I thought was a pretty basic industry standard) - so they're a little pricier than other salons. They offer complimentary water and the salon was very quiet and relaxing (which I loved). Everyone I encountered spoke perfect English so there was no struggle to communicate what I wanted due to a language barrier. Overall my pedicure was fine. Hanos was thorough - but my heels could have used a little more 'elbow grease.' I looked down at my heels the other day and I swear I thought I was looking at my Mother's feet. WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN?! His 'gentle technique' meant they looked okay when I left but after I showered a few hours a later they looked crazy again. Lol. First time coming and I wanted I classic pedicure, I had acrylic on one of my toes and asked they could take it off (mind you I've gotten acrylic on my toes plenty of time and always had salons take it off). The nail tech said I couldn't get it taken off because "it hadn't grown out" which was not true, it had been over a month and half since I had gotten my feet done they were well overgrown. Then I asked if the could soak it off to which I was told I could to that at home. Very unprofessional and a waste of my time. I will not be coming back. read more

The facility is clean and relaxing. There is usually soft music in the background. When I arrived around 12:30p they were not as busy and I had two people working on me (one feet one on hands). Both did a great job! I've had a different technician the past 3 visits but I think I'm going to commit to Peter. He took his time with my SNS manicure. Ensuring that the past polish / SNS was fully off first and being gentle with my hands and nails. Even when the salon got really busy he did not try to rush. I got white SNS on my hands and white (as well as black) usually takes longer to ensure it looks even / cohesive. I am very satisfied and will return. Tip! Polish me off has a "rewards program" in which after a few visits you can get a small discount on your next visit. Just pick up a business card and the rewards are on the back. read more

Another time i walked in and got so frustrated when another lady came in 15 minutes after me and they started her nails before mine. Came in for a manicure and pedicure. Made an appointment to have something extra done for a special event. After showing the guy what we wanted he started to work on the nails. After an hour or so he said they could not do what we wanted and that they could only do one color. No style or special design which is what we showed them before hand. Needless to say, we were very disappointed and felt like at this point we couldn't leave. The technician scratched my daughters nails enough to make them bleed, he also left cotton on the nails and started to paint over them. He re-polished the nail after we asked him to fix it multiple times. There are gaps and dents in the nails and the polish is streaked. Plus the music that plays in the background is literal church hymns. Very disappointed and will not return. read more

I just moved back to Kennesaw and I have been to almost every nail place in a 10mil radius trying to find the best most affordable one and this is by far the place I will use for awhile! I am always greeted the moment I walk in! I am always helped when I'm picking out color which I actually like because I never really know what I want when I first come in (color wise). I get SNS on my nails and before I was using tips but now I get it on my real nail because their sns made my nails so strong and healthy and best part is it doesn't crack or chip! The pedicure are also awesome! They really do a good job massaging and cleaning up my feet. I have also brought my husband here and he loved the pedicure too. They did a good job taking there time with him and making sure he wasn't bored waiting for me to finish with my hands and toes. Any other nail salon I've been too they take forever and don't do that well. But this place works fast but efficient and makes you feel comfortable and they try to meet your needs. Paid $40 for the worst pedicure ever and my toe nail polish looks like they were done by a four year old! Never again. First off i got my toes painted and a fill in on my nails and paid 55$ okay so that the first red flag then the lady had a attitude because my thumb nail was messed up so she begins to slam everything down the. BEWARE, I have Staph/MRSA! I used to go to Tracy's regularly, but there's often a long wait there so I tried going to this place which is right inside the Kroger shopping plaza near Tracy's. I've gone to Polish Me Off only twice and within about a week of my last visit, I started noticing small bubbly looking bumps on the area near the bottom of my right leg right above the foot. I didn't think much of it at first until the same started happening on the left foot days after the right leg. I don't have very sensitive skin, I hadn't changed any laundry or skin care products, I had been wearing the same shoes with socks/hosiery as usual. So at first I couldn't make sense of it. Well within a week of using skin rash ointment, it didn't get better. In fact it started getting painful and it seemed as if a dark hole was forming within the cluster where skin was breaking. At this point, I finally went to the doctor to check it out thinking he would say it was a spider bite or some sort of dermatitis. He asked me several questions to figure out what sort of change in exposure I'd had in the two weeks leading up to the small bumps appearing. They did tests and it came back positive for a staph called MRSA. I didn't know much about MRSA except for the stories of people having cuts and zip lining in the news a few years back. It didn't even occur to me I could have contracted that. He said that most likely I got this from the salon, that it can be commonly contracted someplace like that particularly if they do not properly sterilize their equipment or sanitize the tubs well. Long story cut to the point, I contacted the man with the afro who is always there (Hahn?) and he completely blew me off denying that it was even a possibility! He says the manager is not there every time I've gone or called and says her name is Michelle Pon,...but he's the one always in charge and answering the line when I've tried to speak with the manager. I'm still trying to get rid of this infection, and won't go into the details of how complicated and involved that process has been. But save yourself the hassle of this ordeal and go somewhere else. I would've never thought I could get something like this just going to have a pedicure. It has been a long, horrible ordeal. read more

I took Alicia's suggestion and called this place, got an appt for 10 minutes later with Kim! "Polish Me Off" is not your typical nail salon name - neither is the salon itself!!! It's beautiful inside, nicely decorated, nice equipment, spacious and clean! Absolutely one of the nicest salons I have ever been in; and I've been going to nail salons for 30 years or so! Kim (Phung) was awesome! She listened and made suggestions, took her time (on a Friday night) and understood and spoke English well! The staff was also very well spoken, talking with each of their own customers and customers talking with other customers! Didn't mind having to sit under the dryer table, lovely conversation with two other customers! I finally found a "friendly" place to get pretty nails and not spend a fortune. I've been going to Polish Me Off per my grandmothers recommendation for a little over three years. I do acrylic nails and I always request Kim. I can't say I've enjoyed my service from other nail techs there, however I love the job Kim does. I tend to be picky but after 3 years, she knows exactly how I want my nails and she will make sure she gets it right for me. Another woman entered the salon and was seated to be serviced right away. When I protested I was told that the other woman had an appointment--which is fine if that had been communicated to me and if I hadn't been treated like my money wasn't good enough. Was in this week for 1st time.. Went in for pedicure.. The store is very big and quiet no music no tv ... A man did pedicure I asked for plastic bag liner in bowl he said they didn't use them but had them another guy got it and put it in ... I got just the regular pedicure ... Tried to talk me into Calus remover .. No thanks ... So did the other stuff ... I got home closer look ... Toe nails are filed crooked.... I am sorry that Mia contracted Staph/MRSA. I have been going to Polish Me Off for 4 years and LOVE IT. I get a pedicure on average every other month. An until recently, I got my nails done every other week. At the beginning of April I decide to give my nail a break from the arcrylic nails. I love Michele and her husband. They are always friendly and accomodating. As i waited for my nails to dry I noticed they always clean after every use of the tubs. I have never had Staph/MRSA. You can get Staph/MRSA from a mulitude of places and seriously doubt it came from Polish Me Off. read more

I so wanted this to be my new salon! It is a beautiful place, staff is friendly but they sent me on my way with bad polish. The polish didn't look right at application but I figured she would brighten it up with the top coat. I can't believe she told me to go sit and dry...didn't say a word! Just don't get the owner to help you and you'll be ok! My daughter and her friend went there today she came home crying because of how bad she was treated and how the owner just didn't want to help her so she made excuses and made extra charges to get out of doing the work. My wife and daughter go there all the time and get good service from other people that work there but because the owner lady doesn't like working there (literally what she told my wife) she does a crappy job and tells people they can't get a certain service because of some excuse when all the other nail salon employees do such services. She also charges higher prices for the same service only because she doesn't want to do that color. Since she is the owner she'll read this and just won't care. I just visited this nail salon for the first time yesterday, and they were fantastic. Very sweet and friendly too! I don't like a lot of chit-chat when I'm getting my nails done, and I didn't have to worry about that at all. The girl that helped me was very meticulous, but also very speedy.
