Good work but costs a small fortune. We had no water and knew our well pump had died as it was well over 20 years old. They came out same day and began work. Checked systems out etc....got the old pump out and the giuy says yeah its gonna be $4,400. Yikes! That included the new pump and also a new pressure tank. THey are good guys and workers but the cost was high I thought for the parts and 2.5 hours of labor. read more

Had our yearly water check which came out fine. Had to call them back to our home days later & had water sample again checked. It came back super low in a drop of our PH level. Tried calling their office to get a new sample & recheck while discussing what can be done to fix issue. The man I spoke with was demeaning & rude. (Jerry). He told me I was rude and stop interrupting him which I was t & was trying to have a discussion!! He needs a course in not arguing with a customer & insult you at the same time ! Wow! Never again! read more

We have a large multigenerational household. With 8 people spanning four generations, ages 1 year to 82 years, living under one roof even the smallest bumps in the road become major hassles. We lost our pressure tank on a Saturday afternoon. We called and spoke to Curtis. He let us know that he would try to get someone to us before the end of the day. Unfortunately Curtis was unable to get someone out Saturday night but told us we were in for first job in the morning. Having worked in an on call service industry myself, I knew what that meant. I expected someone around noon. Sam and his partner were here before 10 AM Sunday morning. They had us back up with running water within an hour of their arrival. They were amazing! Both were knowledgeable, courteous, and friendly. Not only did they attend to our needs they also took a little extra time to walk us through what happened, what they did, and what to watch for in the future. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how clean they were as well. Other than the new tank and plumbing, they left no trace that they were even here. Going so far as to coil up a garden hose that they asked to borrow. We are extremely grateful for the prompt and efficient service. You have a great team of people working for your company! When we need help again, because we know we will, we be in touch. If any of our friends and neighbors ever ask you will be at the top of our list of recommendations. Thank you so much Policy Well and Pump!!! read more

Like others have mentioned I called to get a quote. I was not told on the phone the quote would be $200! Their staff should up, they instantly went to work and started unloading tools without giving me a price for the total job. I stopped them and told them I wanted a quote before they started digging up my pump. The price for the entire job was $5,500. I told the workers I was not ready to pay that kind of money and thanked them for their time. They then offered financing with 0% over 12 months and asked how my credit was. It is none of their business what my credit looks like. I found that to be rather intrusive, I told them I did not want to add an additional $500 a month to my monthly expenses and thanked them for their time. That is when they demanded I pay them $200 for being on my property for 10-minutes. I told the workers I was not told of the charge and did not feel obligated to pay it; they called their manager, who informed them they had to get the $200 from me. The worker told his boss, "I don't want to deal with this guy," which I found to be beyond rude. I called their competitor and got a free quote for $1,000 less. I called a third company that did the entire job for $1,500. Do your research, a new tank is around $300 at Home Depot, and a new pump should set you back around $400. I do not see why they charge $4,800 to install $700 worth of parts for around 2 - 3 hours of labor. read more

My well pump died yesterday and I called in after hours to leave a message that I needed service. Skip called me first thing this morning and his crew was at my house by 10:45. Tyler & Ryan got right to work and had the new pump in place very quickly. They ran my system to purge air & sediment and ensure everything was working properly. Tyler presented various options for upgrading and increasing reliability for me to consider and helped me understand the cost and benefit of each. Of course the price was something more than it was when they were out for the same job 15 years ago but that was really no surprise. Good job, fast service, helpful friendly techs. Arthur. read more

I had policy come out to service my equipment. they informed me I needed a new line to my well. As I was skeptical, I waited a few weeks to ensure this was indeed needed. With a new ($4000, I find excessively high for pushing a new water line through an existing line!) line installed my water is now MUD brown and the Manager Skip say's there is nothing he can do till my water clears up - it's been 5 days of mud. He's also been downright rude and brings up that I delayed my own service, forgive me for not wanted to spend unnecessary monies, he'll get someone out here sometime next week. I contacted H20 out if Middleton and without looking at my system they diagnosed it. I would stay clear away for Policy as an un-consumer friendly company! read more

So impressed with this company and it's employees: Rick and Tyler! We needed a new pump for our well. Saturday morning they arrived at 8:30 a.m. and installed a new one. They even taught us a few things about wells and pumps! Their expertise and friendliness made a difficult situation not so bad. Even during this Covid pandemic! Well done guys!! Will always use Policy Well and Pump! read more

I have used This company since moving to Windham 25 years ago. They are honest and their pricing is competitive. All service technicians I have encountered are excellent. Recently I called for a problem I was having and "Skip" from Policy resolved the issue over the phone and requested I call back to insure after his fix instructions were performed to insure all is well. Customer service personified. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I just used Policy Well and Pump to install an arsenic reduction system and to do a well shock and both the service and pricing was excellent. I was initially hesitant because of the negative reviews here but another vendor referred me to them and spoke very highly of them. I ended up getting 5 quotes from different vendors and Policy was the best. When I called, I spoke to Jerry and he was knowledgeable, confident, and comforting. It was just what I needed. He was even responsive during non-office hours and they were flexible with me about scheduling service. Jared installed the arsenic system and Jerry did the well shock. They are the type of people that you feel comfortable with right away because they take such pride in their work and doing a thoroughly good job. I highly recommend them. read more

Wow did they take me. They came out and said I had a bad water tank in the house. Which I was skeptical about it because it was only 7 years old. After they replaced that, I still didn't have water and they they said it was the pipe going from the well to the house. That didn't fix it either. Then they replaced the pump. (Which was only 9 years old) After close to $5,000 i still didn't have water reliablly. Went with another company and hydrofrack. Now I have no water problems. read more

Have done business with them for a long time with great service. However now it is the opposite. Gave my elderly Mom a song snd dance when she needs help with the system. She feels that they don't listen because she is old. read more

I needed to replace the expansion tank underneath our manufactured home as it was or had failed. Now no one likes to crawl under a home on a concrete slab to locate a pit where the expansion tank was located so I had a brainstorm lets put it inside the house where the cold can't get to it . It would be easier to service if necessary. As a New Englander I decided after pricing the job out that I would attempt this myself to save money. I googled and watched 3 or 4 you tube videos made a parts list and ordered the expansion tank on line as it was less than Policy Well could sell it for. (I am a 14 year customer of their's) I placed the tank in it's new home with all the attached plumbing dropped the water in / water out pex lines below the floor and disconnected the water lines from the old tank. BTW it's Saturday afternoon as I was confused as what I saw in the videos was not what I was seeing below. I had promised my wife we would have running water that day so I drove over to Policy Well and talked to the dispatcher/ owner and said they could laugh now or later but I needed help. The technician was just getting ready to clock out but over hearing my plight agreed to come over and see what he could do. (he had been under the house before) He drove over and we went under to check things out and he recognized the issue got a few parts out of his truck and started to correct my error. While he was underneath another crew stopped by just to see if he was OK and one of the guys slid under and assisted him. Later I learned they were the overnight crew and the job would have ended up in their lap had he not volunteered. $170 later we were all set and the new expansion tank was working and water flowed once again. I would highly recommend this company to anyone as they are honest , trustworthy , customer friendly and respond in a timely manner. I still managed to save money despite the fact that I required some assistance . Thank you read more

Had a problem of running well dry after very little use, getting worse even when there should be plenty of water in wet times. Went to Salem office to report problem and ask someone to come out and check the system. Tech was sent same day in the afternoon. Diagnosed a leak at the well head, after checking simpler problems. Stated that diagnosis wasn't a 100% sure thing, as the ground was snow covered and these things are tricky.... said they could come out next morning first thing to excavate and repair the leak and check for other problems. I agreed to have it done and was given an estimate for excavation and repair. Showed up on time ready to go next morning and had the problem of the leak resolved quickly. Made a bit of mess in area of digging, but it's mud season and had to expect that. Checked pump etc for additional issues after testing showed the leak was fixed but pressure/flow still low. Operating the pump in dry well and it being 30 years old had worn it down. needed a new pump. Agreed to have that done too, though it doubled original estimate. Wasn't exactly unforeseen.... also replaced clogged check valve, pressure gage. Things seem fine next day. Though end cost was more than twice estimate, estimate did not predict new pump replacement. Original diagnosis fee was waived, stated since it wasn't accurate.... might have been good to advise up front what cost would be if pump also needed. I've also had water softener installed and other minor repairs done over the years. Things went fairly well (pun intended) each time, though again the estimates are always a bit low up front, and other problems always seem to show up... the story of my life..... read more

I called to have a water treatment system installed in my home. They took a water test and came up with a filtration system. The installation was scheduled and went smoothly. I would recommend this company to friends and family. read more

I called to have someone come out to give me a quote on how much to fix my well tank (continuously cycles on/off when calling for water). They sent someone out who quoted me a very high number to the point that I wanted to get a couple more quotes to see if this was a good price or not. The tech then told me the visit (which lasted 10 minutes) would cost $150 but I could apply that to my bill if I decide to go with them. No one told me that a quote would cost $150. I proceeded to get other quotes that came in half of what Policy quoted. So basically I paid $150 for NOTHING!! They could do this all day - charge $150 for quotes and just quote high all day long and not do any work. RIP OFF!! read more

Called last night around 7 because we lost water and wanted to try to get them out here in the morning. Phone was answered and appointment set for 10 am. My husband called again at 8 Am to confirm and they said yes all set. (The reason I even mention that is I think we have all experienced companies that say "oh no we don't have that info here, they must have forgot...." ). They arrived on time and took care of business in a timely, professional manor, for a bit less than the estimated cost! Can't do more than that. Thanks for the great service. read more

If I could use a "Zero" star rating I would. I stopped in to get a price on the media I would need to re-bed my water softener. I had to wait for Skip to complete his phone call, which was fine. One of the other people there asked me what I was looking for, so I told him. First question he asked was if they had installed the system. When I explained I didn't know because it was in the house when I bought it his demeanor changed, seemed like he couldn't wait to get away from me, and excused himself. I continued waiting for Skip. When he had completed his call he asked what I needed. He seemed genuinely interested and had a welcoming look on his face. explained it to him, and wouldn't you know, his first question was if they had installed the system. As soon as I said I didn't know his demeanor changed and it was like he was looking down his nose at me. He wouldn't answer my question, and told me that I was better off replacing the entire system because it was too old. This in my opinion is because he didn't want to be bothered with helping someone that didn't have HIS system. Now- even though it is 20 years old doesn't mean it needs to be replaced, and being that he has never seen the system, how can he make such a blanket statement? In the future, if I need to replace my system, I can guarantee it will NOT be from Policy Well and Pump! P.S.- I went into Policy Well and Pump about 15 years ago when I was having a different issue with my system and they pulled almost the same thing then, but in this case they would have been actually working on the system itself- not just providing supplies- I chalked it up to they only work on their own stuff- not that they wouldn't even sell you supplies if you didn't get your system from them! read more

We had a problem with no water coming from our well. Husband called Policy Well and Pump. When the technician came, my husband mentioned what he thought to be the problem as we had had the same problem once many years ago. The problem being outside in the well. The technician did not even make an attempt to go out there. He took the cover off of our well pump in the basement and cleaned it out some, replaced a $5 part, tried it and said it would be fine. Not 3 hours later we had no water again. My husband replaced the well pump himself while being sick. That did not cure the problem. 2 days after having Policy Well and Pump we contacted someone else. They came right out and immediately said the problem was outside in the well. Went out there in the snow and cold and repaired the situation in a relatively short amount of time. It was the problem my husband originally suspected. The technician from Policy was not very motivated and had no interest at all into walking out to the well. We paid Policy $130 for absolutely nothing. $125 service call charge (which alone is an outrage ) and he replaced a $5 part on the well pump that we ultimately did not need. Very, very disappointed. We know you have been in business for many years and expected much better service from a long standing company. Will never call them again. SM Londonderry, NH read more
