This beautiful hiking trail begins just a few minutes North of Bolton Landing. As you drive north, the trailhead is clearly marked on the left. There are two loops, one with yellow trail markers that is about a mile long, and one with blue trail markers that is about 5 1/2 miles long. The trails are very clearly marked. We hiked there on a July afternoon and we were the only people there. It was like being in the wilderness, even though we were very close to town. The longer trail goes through the trees, along a stream, and takes you to a serene pond, as well as a look-out point. We saw some beautiful mushrooms, as well as many frogs, toads, and salamanders. Highly recommended for an afternoon hike! read more
