Been with polar bear since they changed my unit during the peak summer season back in 2020. I got the extended warranty through them back than that they offered and it has paid itself off by now. I do the recommended servicing of my unit with them. They drain my AC units pipes with the 50/50 mix. They check the health of all my components. Sanitize the unit. Top off my refrigerant if I need it. The best thing is they keep you well informed about everything they do, as well as give you helpful information and tips to get the most life out of your system. Florida heat is getting worse and these guys are definitely someone you wanna have on speed dial for your HVAC needs. Highly recommend them!!! read more

Prompt, quality service with attention to detail to deliver the right diagnosis and repair.

Probably the worst company I've ever dealt with. If you want to save your money, go somewhere else, horrible on every level. Installation was horrible. They're standing behind their product. Horrible. Save your time and money and go to a different company to get your AC unit. read more

Excellent and professional service, highly recommended! A friend of mine suggested Polar Bear, and he was absolutely right to do so. I had an A/C maintenance performed and a few performance issues resolved. Thank you! read more

Thanks for the maintenance call! I was able to call for maintenance on Monday and have a technician come out to my house the following day. My previous AC company was scheduling visits a month out and I felt like that was too long to wait. This customer service office was very friendly and helpful. I wanna say her name was Katy :-) The tech was efficient and great at explaining different aspects of the process. Prices are a little higher than other vendors but the tech told me the offer coupons a lot and I was able to get a new person maintenance for $69, usually I guess this runs about $110 and their annual club is about $220 which includes two yearly maintenance visits - things sure are getting pricey these days. I had already cleared the line, but the technician put a solution in there that he said is 10 times stronger than bleach and really helps to keep the line clean, I think my line has too many twists and turns. Happy heatwave ya'll - thank you to Dimitri and Polar Bear. read more

Air conditioner. He was very knowledgeable and professional and explained everything he was doing and discussed solutions with us. When he left our system was working properly and our house is nice and cool. We have always had good experiences with your technicians and we will definitely be using your service in the future. Polar Bear has never pushed to sell us anything and they have always been affordable. Thanks so much Ruvim! read more

Very professional and great at providing advice on how to keep my old system running. Good value g fry or the money.

Great service! Our tech came in the time slot that was given with a nice notification letting me know he was on his way. When he arrived he was very nice and made sure we were on the same page on what he was working on today and got right to work. At the end he explained everything he had done and let me know how our system was looking and then just added a little recommendation on our air filter. Overall it was a great price with wonderfully refreshing service! read more

They arrived promptly. Solved the problem quickly. The charge was very fair. We have always liked polar air. A friend from Venice referred us to them. They are a great option to all of the unknown air conditioning companies that you can contact. read more

Not the same since Alex left. Very poor customer service and will not give quote over phone for pre-diagnosed issue. Not easy to work with. Will not use. Purchased new unit in 2020. Have had numerous repairs - expensive repairs- 2023 $900 and 2024 $1500. Unit seems to be a lemon. read more

Nick sent arrival time and arrived on time. He saw the problem immediately and proceeded to repair. He also alerted me that I could save time and money by having a tune up ahead of the heavy cooling time. Excellent service. read more

Polar Bear has shown consistent good results over the last couple of years assisting our family, in repair of our home's legacy HVAC unit, installation of our new unit and its maintenance and occasional repair. I am not easily to please and I've found the Polar Bear technicians are qualified, good communicators, and they do good work. read more

I have been a customer for 25 years, and as a property manager I have dozens of HVAC service calls each year. Since the ownership of the company changed hands some years ago, it started going downhill in service. Yes, the scheduling technology they use is modern, and you get texts to update you on when the tech arrives..... but now it takes 1 service call to diagnose, days of waiting for an estimate, and then a proposal to replace the whole system, with no repair even attempted, or a repair quote that is overpriced compared to other service providers. It used to be that a service call could be expected to resolve the issue, but it is more profitable to install new systems than to make small, relatively inexpensive repairs. In each of the last 3-4 service calls by Polar Bear, I asked a different vendor for a second opinion, and they were able to immediately repair the issue, and at half cost of the solution proposed by Polar Bear. I had been a loyal and appreciative customer of this company, giving all my repair and replacement business to Polar Bear, but that ended today. My advice: take time to get a second opinion, and not from one of the conglomerates that operates multiple, seemingly "local" companies, but from a smaller, truly local business. read more

Polar Bear installed a whole new cooling system in my home in 2019. this company is very easy to work with. They are true professionals. The service techs arrive as scheduled. My Amana AC is working well, I'm satisfied with my purchase. Andrily the service tech arrived today, April 12-2023 on time.He performed the maintenance and checked all systems. Our A/C unit & handler needed replacing. After two and half weeks without air conditioning in June FL and getting four estimates Polar Bear provided the price. Polar Bear Cooling did a professional inspection and "tune up" on the HVAC system prior to closing on a home that I am buying in Port Charlotte, FL. The tech, Robby, who replaced the capacitor and a float switch was very knowledgeable and professional. I will call on Polar Bear Cooling for preventive maintenance every six months. Their rates are reasonable and service is prompt and dependable! I highly recommend Polar Bear to keep us cool:) read more

Purchased and installed new A/C heat pump from Polar Bear Cooling (Alex Kirichenko) in March 2020 for almost $5000. Was told I would be pleased with the unit. Since March, the unit stopped running 4 times with corresponding service calls. Awaiting repairs, my family frequently experienced 85 degree inside temperature during the Florida summer. Two neighbors also purchased new A/C in the last 7 months from competing companies. These neighbors have required no service calls since installation. Polar Bear service technician comments: -"Junk A/C products are unreliable" -"We will probably make many more service calls to this address" -Some A/C installers plan to make their profit from excessive service calls after the warranty expires rather than from sale or installation. Manufacturer (Amana/Goodman/Daikin) recommends I hire an HVAC professional to assess and repair. Then take legal action against Polar Bear. Avoid my experiences. . . ..... read more

Called for an estimate for a new AC system, I was told that I would get a call back. After a week of not getting a reply I did a follow-up call. I was told once again that I would get a reply after my message was reviewed. It's now over 3 weeks and I still haven't heard from them. I guess they have more business than they can handle right now, seems to be the trend in the AC business. read more

Awesome service! Alex came out to work on our 14 yr old Trane air conditioner that stopped cooling the night before. We thought it was time to replace it but it was only a capacitor that had burned maybe in a surge. Only $108. Holy moly, are you kidding? He showed and texted me pictures of all the checks on the system. Very impressed! Really honest and no high pressure! Highly recommend this company and especially, Alex! read more
