Custom poke bowl

I found this place on grubhub and it's really satisfying my poke bowl cravings. I love the 1/2 rice and half salad options. It's delicious with crispy onions and the crab salad. I'm also grateful they have switched to a compostable to-go container. Would love it even more if the lid becomes compostable!

A bunch of imitation Krab, ton of cucumber, and a few measly little squares of salmon and tuna

I went a couple times in person and "built my own bowl" - extra scoops of tuna and salmon, cucumber only, NO sides (I hate that imitation krab stuff), and some unagi sauce. In person, came out ok. Tho the place smelled like long dead...somethings, but I figured they prolly also had fermented fish and whatnot. Now I don't think that's the case. I've ordered delivery now 3 times, *exact same order as originally*, and each time has been progressively worse. Some of the fish chunks smelled questionable as I brought them close to my face to eat, so I set them aside. They also slabbed on some of that imitation krab salad (which smells terrible to me fresh), to help hide that fact. Well today was the last straw, not only did they slam that nasty Krab salad on again, but put about an *entire* cucumber over a few measly pieces of fish to fill the space and make it look like the bowl was properly full. Now I'm paying $25 for a bowl for which was supposed to include FRESH (NOT questionable) tuna and salmon - paying a criminal price for multiple extra scoops of FRESH fish only - and what I received was maybe 10 of those little squares of fish, 35cents for almost an entire cucumber, and 20cents of rice. THAT is friggin criminal. I tried calling the store directly prior to posting this in hopes they wanted to make it right. I could literally hear them shrugging as they said they were sorry I didn't like it but there's "nothing they could [they meant *would*] do".

This is one of my favorite poke places in NE Portland. For the value, you get a wide variety of options such as getting to choose multiple types of fish and toppings. I ordered pickup, but it was ready exactly on time and was still packaged nicely and available as I walked in. The space is pretty small, so I wouldn't plan on eating there anyway. Will definitely try other combinations from here.

Eh, it's okay. The ingredients don't seem the freshest, so I can't leave better than an "ok".

Ok. Those who know my reviews probably already know that I love seafood and visiting Portland, so…read moreit'll be no surprise that I've found a new restaurant to love. That said, this may be a new favorite. I walked two miles from the Marriott Bidwell and crossed the Willamette River to come here (an added bonus: I love how walkable Portland is). The restaurant is low-key and ultra-casual with patio and bar dining. I went for the bar, since that is usually the best option for interaction when dining solo on a work trip. Great choice: Alex the bartender and the folks seated at the bar were super-friendly. Now the food... holy moly! Fantastic oysters (I have to have oysters whenever I come to the PNW)! Briny, sweet and delicious, with a tasty garlic mignonette. Next up: Spot Prawn Crudo in a coconut lime "milk" with red onions. Tender, complex and delicious. Now, the main course was probably the best steelhead I've ever had. Sustainably sourced from an indigenous-owned farm in Washington. It was incredibly Buttery, with rich umami... perfect! I came will an Asian-style kale slaw and coconut sesame rice. The chili crisp oil topping put it over the top. This place was perfect. I will be back.

Always great tacos! And even better that they're gluten free. I honestly didnt even know until…read moresomeone working the restaurant told us. LOVE the fish tacos, fish & chips, oysters and other dishes in the past. We recently tried a new or seasonal dish. I think it was watermelon, mint and octopus? Which very tasty.. the amount of octopus was such a small amount that the $20 for the dish felt like we were cheated. I joked that we didn't even get a tentacle worth.

This is a pretty casual spot if you're just looking for a quick bite to eat! Salmon and tuna poke don -- 8/10. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful. However, the salmon to tuna ratio was off with more tuna than salmon. Unagi don -- 7.5/10. This smelled super good, but it was a bit too salty for me. I thought they seared it nicely and the unagi was super soft.

The quality of the sushi was really excellent. We've eaten at a few conveyor belt sushi places around town and the fish and rice are never that great, so it's a relief to find a place with sushi fish this good. I got the chirashi bowl, which for $18.99 is a great deal. There was 3-4 pieces of salmon, 3-4 of excellent tuna, a couple of seared tuna, a shrimp, 2 pieces of eel, and a wad of spicy tuna and a dollop of fish eggs. The rice was really good too. The serving size wasn't huge, but it was enough. My wife got the salmon bowl and it was less food - an appetizer would have helped. We will be back! Very good quality, nice people.

Donburi Factory - Tight space. Tables seat two and you can squeeze three but I'm sure that won't meet fire code.
