Build Your Own Poke Bowl

LOADED bowls that are consistently delicious. My favorite splurge meal - just beware that other locations (Wilmington) will not hook you up nearly as well!

Hula with sushi rice and mango ginger sauce
Sandra S.

I stopped in Poke Bros on December 21st around noon. I thought they were closed because the storefront looked abandoned. The tables and chairs were stacked along the wall and there is nowhere to sit. That was fine with me since I needed it to go. Luckily they were open. The employees were friendly and it was a very clean environment. The employee got a little irritated because I didn't know how to order and warned me that the fish is not cooked.... I must look like a country bumpkin. I ordered the Hula with sushi rice. I changed the sauce to mango ginger. The price was only $11. IT WAS DELICIOUS! You get plenty of food to satisfy your hunger but won't weigh you down when you are out shopping. So much better for you than the fast food fried options. Exactly what I needed and a great value for what you get. I will definitely go back. They have a new loyal customer.

Poke Bros in Newark, Middletown, and Dover.

Best poke bowl ever! Worth a drive to Dover! The Johnny Utah rocks for $12.00..these 3 guys who started Poke Bros ...have got it going on !

Built my own with crab sticks +$1.00 and squid salad

We were so excited for this place to open so we don't have to drive to Middletown anymore. The food was fresh the space was clean and inviting and the service was fast. My husband ordered the hula and I built my own. For my base I got 1/2 and half, half salad half rice and the toppings are unlimited. They do charge an extra dollar for the crab sticks and I only got one scoop this time which was the squid salad. Very good all-around. My husband loves coming here.

Poké!!! I've been waiting for Poké Bros to open up in Dover. There was a mixture of greedy anticipation and dread. Were they going to bring all of the fresh poké delight or were they going to dull out the excellent flavors with an uninspired blah performance. Wait no more: Everything tasted good! Poké Bros have taken a good portion the Aloha freshness and combined it with some mainland zest. For Day 1 of this new location they were handling a steady stream of business with ease and confidence. As I sat at a table feasting, I could see the line grow from five or six people deep, to over 20, to backed up to the door. No worries though, the line moved swiftly and with no complaints by those in it. If you haven't had Poké before, Poké Bros will be a great place for you to start.

Chose this place while looking for a healthier lunch option. Orders are still to-go only and no one is allowed inside. You can walk up and someone will come outside and hand you menus. The bowls are flavorful, but they fill them mainly with the base. I love poke bowls, but this one had very little protein

I love this place! There is nothing like it in town. Everything is fresh and tasty. The shop itself is clean, as are the restrooms.

Literally drive 90 min from PA to Halo's because the food is THAT good…read more Halo Hawaiian in Maryland is one of those places you go to because you're hungry, not because it looks flashy -- and honestly, that works in its favor. The space is basic, but the food is what keeps people coming back. The portions are big without feeling sloppy. The chicken katsu is solid: crispy on the outside, still juicy inside, and not drowned in sauce. The BBQ plates are dependable -- sweet, smoky, and cooked well -- especially if you like a mix of meats. Nothing feels overdone, and that's kind of the point. The mac salad deserves a mention because it actually tastes like mac salad, not some watered-down side. Creamy, simple, and it pairs well with everything else on the plate. Rice is cooked right, which shouldn't be a big deal, but it is. It's not trying to be trendy or upscale Hawaiian food. It's just straightforward comfort food that fills you up and tastes good. If you're looking for a reliable spot when you want something hearty and familiar, Halo Hawaiian gets the job done.

I also got some teriyaki sauce on the side and I'm glad I did because the pork definitely needed a little sauce. There were onions in the pork that I wished were cooked a bit more, they basically steamed. The flavor was delicious but the takeout bag leaked pork juice (?) all over my other groceries so that kinda sucked. That's the only reason for my 4 stars this time, but the food was amazing as always!

My lunch arrived promptly, and every item that I had requested was accurate. We were lucky enough to have extra utensils available at our work location, since utensils were not provided in the bags. I had ordered the two meat plate with only rice. My order included Kalua Pork and Beef. The two meats were both very tasty and seasoned perfectly. The Kalua Pork was tender and had a great smoke flavor. The beef was rich, full of flavor and paired perfectly with plain rice. The dish was simple but delivered exactly what I wanted in a quick, filling Hawaiian Style meal! I really enjoyed that it was easy to order from Mahalo Hawaiian BBQ. They have large portions with great flavor, and they are super simple to get an enjoyable lunch. We didn't eat it at the restaurant. We had it at the office. Overall, I would highly recommend Mahalo Hawaiian BBQ for lunch! I will definitely be ordering from them again whenever I am in Philly for work!

They don't have a menu but it's $1 off beers and $3 off certain drinks. Masa Mondays offers $3 off certain dishes including papusas and empanadas. I couldn't find empanadas on the menu. We ordered the mofongo based on the great reviews and wanting to try something different. We also got the Papusa, a hibiscus drink and a margarita. Overall the food was good. The mofongo is heavy - so it's best eaten shared with something on the lighter side. The Mofongo comes with a topping of beef or shrimp. Our waiter didn't ask our preference so I thought maybe it comes with both. Later we heard another waiter ask the customer if they wanted beef or shrimp. We were given beef and that was fine but it would have been nice to have a choice! The disappointment came in the service. The waiter was unaware of happy hour or the Masa Monday discount. We asked about Happy Hour on arrival. Upon receiving the bill we had to ask for an adjustment. Then the bill came back and the Papusa (a $10 dish) was charged at $12 with a $3 discount. At this point I was tired of asking so we just let it go. To the owners - don't advertise discounts and then try to avoid them or not train your staff about them. Will not come back for that reason. I felt it was false advertising. Puts all the work on the customer to follow up.

I ordered the Akamaru Modern Ramen, the BBQ short rib plate, and the mango shaved ice everything was absolutely delicious. The short ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful, paired perfectly with rice and their macaroni salad, which is surprisingly SO good because I normally don't even like macaroni salad from restaurants. The ramen was rich, comforting, and full of flavor as always. The mango shaved ice was refreshing and came topped with popping mango pearls and mochi, which made it even better. The ambiance is nice bright and decorative. Clean. The service is always great, and Jimmy always remembers me and is so welcoming every time I come in. The ladies in the front are pleasant and everyone teams up to ensure you have a pleasant dining experience. Everybody I've brought here ends up loving this place too.
