    Not worth the $16

I was in the area and needed to grab something quick to eat so I came across Poké bar. As I entered I knew it would be a bad idea because the temperature wasn't right in there and didn't seem clean . I stil decided to give it a try. I got a small and they really mean small when they say small. Horrible portion size and the spicy mayo didn't even taste like spicy mayo. Tasted like some random spicy sauce. Not flavorful at all. Definitely not worth the 16$ for a small. I'll never return !! Didn't seem fresh either !! There's much better spots.

Small potion. It's very small, barely a scoop of rice.

I've been coming here since they opened, but the portions have gone down significantly. I stopped coming here because the owner at the time served very little portions compared to their staff. Then recently I saw a sign say new management and I decided to try again. Somehow, it's smaller! I know many poke places potions ( I eat a lot of poke), but this is very little, not even a scoop of rice, and served the topping with like a teaspoon size. Not worth their price hike either. Sadly, I'd have to go find another place in Encino

I write my reviews as a person that doesn't want anything but kind courteous, and prompt service without attitude, do that I'm giving a positive review and rating. That being said, I was not happy that the guy working there wasn't wearing gloves until he mixed the toppings I mean, he was wiping down the counter when I walked in. The place uses those biodegradable boxes which I don't like because your food stick to it. Most importantly, **** The fish was fresh and the food was tasty ***** I'm just picky about gloves and the sticky boxes, I say it's a good spot to go eat at if you're a normal eater and not very picky, I probably won't go there again

Delightful poke bar with tender fresh fish and great seaweed salad. Lady who served it was delightful and engaging. A nice stop for a quick bite that's healthy and comforting!

I found this spot in 2018 and I want everyone to know that they have the best Poki this side of town. The food is always fresh and the staff is alway friendly and inviting.

Teas are $1 off with purchase of bowl and boba is free

Came here to pick up a late lunch around 1:30pm, and there was plenty of parking. The place itself was really quiet - actually, I wish they would play some background music at the least because it felt almost awkward to be standing there waiting in line lol. Looks like they serve milk and fruit teas now (boba is free with purchase of any size bowl), which would be a nice option if I was also craving a drink. Portion sizes were good and lots of different options for toppings. Docking off a star because some of the greens in my mixed salad were old and wilted, but otherwise proteins and toppings looked like good quality. They have your usual choices like salmon, tuna, albacore, scallops, octopus, but also a spicy and regular premixed tuna. I tried the regular premixed tuna and while it wasn't bad, I think I'll stick to a regular fish next time since I liked it mixed in with the toppings and sauce. It was $11.99 for a small bowl that comes with two choices of protein, so about the same as other poke places in the area.

From October 10-14, they're giving away free boba tea with purchases!

I loved the service and portion size and the fact that the employees maintained portions and didn't give too little like another location. I love how the location is busy but there is always seating inside and parking in the center they're located in. The seafood is always fresh and the service is quick. The blended tea wasn't available today but the owner made an exception for me and that was much appreciated and my tea was delicious. A small plate comes with two choices of protein and one scoop of rice and is reasonably priced at $9.95 which is what I have bought today. My two proteins were spicy tuna and shrimp with white rice and corn.

One of the best sushi spots I've had a in a while actually. We didn't really do any appetizers and went straight in for the fish. Started off with a couple of hand rolls, we did the crab hand roll and O toro hand roll. Crab hand roll wasn't as impressive, I've had better to be honest. I didn't let that experience ruin it for me because the toro hand roll was delicious. I think they add a piece of mint and it complimented the hand roll. Very crunchy nori wrapper and good rice to fish ratio. For our sushi we started with chu toro tuna, salmon belly, and halibut. Super fresh melt in your mouth quality. Halibut was interesting with the truffle, first time definitely won't be the last. We ended it with red snapper and black snapper. Absolutely amazing, I think the black snapper or the red snapper was slightly charred. It was so good. To say the least, this restaurant was worth it!

When I made reservations on the phone I asked about the latest reservation and confirmed 10 pm - however I asked if I could sit at the bar and they said not at that time since they closed at 11. When we arrived, there was a couple coming in at 10 and sat at bar...maybe just miscommunication but tha could have prevented us from consuming our food quick and skipping on alcohol since the table we got was not the best. Sushi felt very fresh and there's something about the way they make the rolls that feels different about other places (not sure if in a good way) Great staff and sushi chefs- they were super fast moving from one course to the next one.

While the fish quality here is great, you will get more bites that seem a lot more experimental with flavors and garnishes. I didn't like every single bite but I expected that. A lot more focus on creative cocktails and drink pairings instead of just sake or wine. This is a great place to try Japanese whiskey, they even have little lockers where regular patrons can store their expensive bottles they've bought for when they return, and you are welcome to grab an additional drink and chill in the space afterwards if you'd like. The chefs here were a lot more personable and fun with more of a bar vibe than a traditional omakase. Service was great, dedicated bartender was great, and though it's not the best sushi I've ever tasted, I would still bring someone back here for a unique experience. Brought my friend here for her bday and we left full and happy and a little drunk so I'd say it was a successful night!

It's the kind of place where you can slow down, enjoy your meal, and have a good conversation. The food was consistently good. Service was another highlight--easygoing, attentive in a subtle way, and never intrusive. If I had to point out one thing, it would be that a few dishes didn't quite have that "wow" factor. But sometimes, I appreciate a place that simply gets everything right without overcomplicating it. Definitely somewhere I'd return to--and perhaps bring the right company next time.
