Talk about the little playhouse that could...knock your socks off. . Attending Diary of Anne Frank. All the actors are phenomena. Loving it.

We weren't expecting to buy anything since we were in the middle of shopping for vegetables, but we were pleasantly mistaken. We saw one particular painting hanging on the wall and knew that it would be perfect for a big empty wall in our house - we've been passively looking for some art to hang there for months, and this piece spoke to us! For an original piece on canvas, the price was very reasonable. The artist is Mimi Wirth - a woman local to Martinez which makes the painting even cooler. The painting itself was quite large but we managed to fit it in our 2 door Honda with some interesting maneuvering, and after even more clever choices involving a ladder on a staircase, it's now on our wall. OSHA would not be pleased by any of those choices, but we are very happy with the painting and will be back to peruse this gallery regularly!

I have purchased a few pieces from here, my kids and I have been drawn to certain pieces and they…read moreare now hanging in our home (which brings us a lot of joy). My review has to do with the interactions, or lack thereof, of the artists who staff this gallery. I walk in here frequently, as I regularly shop the farmers market on Sundays and this gallery is right next to it. The staff here tend to interact in a friendlier manner with the older, white patrons. This is not a one-time occurrence but a regular thing, so regular in fact that my 12-year old commented on it. Perhaps it's because they think we're not going to purchase anything, but it is a major turnoff. I also think they could add some diversity to the list of artists who display their work here. This won't stop me from frequenting this gallery when I'm in the area, but something to keep in mind if you've never been here before or are not familiar with the area.

We had no idea what to expect going in, but we were extremely happy to see such a cute and intimate set up! The host, Jennifer, planned this night SO WELL. She had macaroons, cookies, coffee/tea for us to enjoy, with relaxing music playing in the background. Jennifer also had a massage therapist, Anna, join and offer each of us a massage (amazing!). As for the activity itself, the watercolor painting was really fun and relaxing to do. We were able to turn our watercolor art into cute bookmarks. (Stickers, hole punchers, and tassels were all provided!) On top of everything provided, we even got a small gift bag to take at the end of the night. My friend and I can't wait to take another one of Jennifer's classes in the future

It's been a long week and this was just what I needed. She had someone there to do massages, had tea, coffee, yummy sweets, key chain making, and a beautiful art project. I drove all the way from Sacramento to attend with my mom and I would absolutely drive all the way back down here again to take another class here. Can't wait for my next class!!
