Held meetings to draw people into the gallery and held demonstrations. In the past year I've added and sold my Resin work along with my Encaustic Paintings. Resin is considered 3D in the gallery, which made it awkward as the 3D Curator is a sculpture and never wanted my small Resin Coasters and such in the gallery. She got her way and had changed the requirements I had originally obtained when I agreed to sell my Resin work at the gallery 2 days before and after they received my $110 to exhibit these pieces. They refused to give back my fees when I decided to withdraw because of these changes. UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES - RELAXED FACE MASK USE in the gallery by the Management, and group gatherings during COVID19. These were my reasons for leaving after 7 years. It's a coop but it's turned into something else, that is now very undesirable with bad business sense, and an unhealthy turn of events. While most artwork and artists are top notch, there are a handful of people that have taken their positions as a power play, holding back any growth opportunities for both the artists and the gallery. As an artist and a customer at this time, I do not recommend this gallery for the reasons stated above.

I came here recently for the opening reception for two local artists (Marie Van Elder and Jenny Bloomfield). I'm no art expert, but I really dug their work. Every time I would stare at their paintings, I would see something new. The space itself is small but comfortable. Sunny and bright. Inviting and unpretentious. On the night of the opening reception, they served up wine and Pellegrino to guests as we mixed and mingled. It was a very welcoming atmosphere. I love how galleries like these support local artists and bring the community together. We definitely need more venues like this.

When we arrived I was surprised how quaint Benicia was and there huge art community. It turns out that we arrived for there 2nd Saturday Art Walk. I had no idea they still existed. I loved the environment and people. They were all so nice. Our first stop was Gallery 621. We lucked out at finding a parking spot a little over a block away. The place was packed. The gallery is a co-op gallery. Every member takes turns manning the gallery and they all pay in to show there art. They had a good collection of art work and a few statues. The galley was really buzzing. The few people I talked to either were artists or people who followed the artists. I talked to another couple and they drive in once a year to see Daniel's shows. With luck on my side, I was able to score a signed Alex Wood authentic jersey. My friend insisted I get it framed, so I looked around my local area and came across this location. Reading the reviews on here as well as other places, I had to give it a try. When I brought the jersey I , Austin assisted me right away. He asked me what and how I wanted things to be framed and informed me of the different colors that would match the jersey. At first, the price was higher than I budgeted, but he was able to shorten the dimensions of the frame by readjusting my jersey a bit more to a price I was comfortable with. He also asked if I wanted a name plate to help display the name of the jersey and I agreed with how reasonable that price was as well. Austin was very transparent with the entire process, from how long it takes and what he planned on doing, to the cost of each step of the way. He assisted me in keeping things at a fair budget and I appreciate his customer service and friendliness. I picked up my jersey the other day and I am amazed at how it turned out. The nameplate looked awesome and the jersey is on full display with the signature as well. The worker who finished my transaction was also helpful and showed me the proper way to hang it. All in all, I highly recommend this place to get your stuff framed. You pay for high quality material and service and I know I will be back again for any future projects I could have to be framed.
