This review will probably appeal more toward those traveling from the US during American football season. My husband and I were in Vienna and magically found this place on a Sunday evening as we were trying to find wifi to check our fantasy football teams. Thank you to Pointers for being a little slice of home.
There's a good selection of "pub" fare, both Viennese and American style. And a good selection of local beer and Viennese craft beer! Being craft beer fans, it was a treat to taste what other regions are doing.
Beer: 4.5/5. We ordered Kramah, from Bevog Brewery and it's a nice & refreshing beer. I almost forgot what hops tasted like after being in Europe for a bit now, and this beer slapped my tastebuds around!
Food: 3/5. if we could go back, we'd order something more Viennese, avoiding fries and onion rings, etc. but it felt right watching football I suppose. But I do recommend the chili cheese nuggets! Basically a jalapeño popper of sorts.
Ambiance: 5/5. awesome to hear the same questionable call being discussed in multiple languages. There's a smoking & non smoking section, both indoors, separated by a window/ door. Actually keeps the smoke contained pretty well. Being across a university, there's a wide variety of folks. The bar might look like it's on a questionable alley, but it felt very safe.
Check it out! Oh, and they show all kinds of sports, not just American football! read more
