I love schnitzel!!! But I recently gave up meat for good so I was sad that I wouldn't be able to enjoy any while in Vienna. Good for me I found swing kitchen!! What I ordered: I believe on the menu it was just called the Vienna burger, but it was a tofu schnitzel burger that came w fries and a soda. I also got the lime sauce that was an additional 80¢ and was so yummy and refreshing! The burger was amazing! This place really knows how to do vegan food! They also had a cool selection of sodas. I just got the cherry coke. The price was around 11€ which isn't bad for the taste and quality of the food. This place does everything right! Came here on the recommendation of my Airbnb host when I told her I was vegan, and I'm glad I paid this place a visit. Everything is vegan, but there are not many gluten-free options. But thankfully their vegan nuggets are gluten-free so I got their Nugget Salad (which is their soy protein "chicken" nuggets on a garden salad and a garlic sauce). (I would have preferred to have something that was vegan and gluten-free that was NOT fried, but I suppose I should be happy I had something to eat.) And it was tasty! The nuggets weren't dry at all and had a nice texture. There was a nice creamy sauce on the nuggets, and a different light (balsamic olive oil?) dressing for the salad that was also a great combo. I also got a lemonade for my beverage, but it was a carbonated soda, so not really my kind of thing. I should have gotten something else to drink. Would have been nice to have had at least a couple of other gluten-free options to choose from but the Nugget Salad was satisfying. No wifi unfortunately. read more

I'm not vegan, just a severely lactose intolerant girl who wanted to avoid dairy her first night in Vienna. Swing Kitchen is so good I ate there three different times! 1st time: Ordered two Vienna burgers (for myself and my sister), tiramisu and cheesecake via Foodora. Vienna burgers are amazing, try them, even if you think you won't like a meat substitute; it's that good. The tiramisu was good, but not great, it felt like it was missing something. The cheesecake was just... not good. If you don't expect cheesecake it's probably fine, but I think the expectations were set too high here. 2nd time: My sister and I couldn't eat along with our husbands at another restaurant so we walked 5 minutes to the Swing Kitchen on Operngasse. We both ordered the cheeseburger and it was pretty decent. There's no mistaking it for a REAL burger, but it is a delicious meal on its own. 3rd time: After an evening dining out, everyone wanted something sweet. Our husbands went off to Swing Kitchen and picked up a variety of desserts: almond nougat dream, mango coconut cake, and tiramisu. Here's my issue: the tiramisu this time was AMAZING. So good, that I, a tiramisu lover, would eat it over the real thing any damn day. Why so uneven? It was leaps and bounds better than the first time I had it. The mango cake was good, but not enough coconut flavor and the mango tasted more like peaches. The almond nougat dream was amazing; it tastes like a churro! One note I should make is that the burgers are MASSIVE. I have never been able to finish one on my own. read more

I just wish you could substitute onion rings with Pommes in a menu, that's their deserts will change a bit (the tiramisu is to die for) and I don't recommend the sweet potato fries (bad money value). Randomly stumbled upon this small vegan fast food joint. It's clean, friendly, low cost and hits the spot. Some may look suspiciously at vegan burgers. But I say, if it tastes great then the fact that animals did not need to sacrifice themselves is actually very positive. The Burger is large, good texture and flavour. I loved this place! They serve the kind of vegan burgers that are made to have a meaty texture, rather than veggie burgers filled with various beans and vegetables. Normally I prefer the latter, but their burgers are crispy and tasty, with a nice texture and flavor. Tons of yummy creamy (vegonaise?) sauce and fresh ingredients top the burger, plus good, homemade Austrian bread (which you'll never find in the states!). They had a sweet-potato waffle fries special today. HECK YES. Who on earth takes normal fries over sweet potato waffle fries? Also appetizing was a case of vegan desserts, like tiramisu and cheesecake and an apricot-almond thing. I'm not sure how anyone has enough appetite after a burger to eat those, but they look beautiful. Note: They serve enormous portions (I wasn't hungry again for like 10 hours--that could be a good thing or a bad thing, depends on what you want). read more

I have been traveling with a non vegan friend, so I've been eating a lot of side orders and have been cooking (egad! The horror!). Then, I came upon Swing Kitchen and my heart rejoiced. Their all vegan menu has a nice selection of burgers, salads, wraps and sweets. Since I was in Vienna, I opted for the Vienna burger. It's a vegan Wiener schnitzel - breaded cutlet- burger with fresh cucumbers and onion slaw topped off with the creamiest, dreamiest garlic aioli! Yum!!!! Of course I made it a meal, added pommes with the spicy chili mayo (and it was !!!) and the House elderberry cola (aka- cherry cola). The meal was delicious!!! I added a mango cheesecake to go- all in all, it was about €15. Worth it! read more

The choices are many, but I chose the schnitzel burger because I come from California (land of vegan burgers) and I wanted something different. They have nice customer service patient with me when I had a difficult time deciding if I wanted to be healthy and get coleslaw or opt for the fries or onion rings. The choice of coleslaw was not disappointing because it was a delicious, ample serving. The dressing had a slight mustard flavor to it for added kick. I knocked two stars because all the fake meats are soy or wheat gluten based and I can be intolerant to both. Walked by that place a Sunday evening and it was crowded which convinced me to try. I had never tried a vegan burger before. I ended up going twice during my stay in Vienna. First I tried the swing burger which was delicious with a great combination of vegetables and an amazing sauce. The second time I tried the cheeseburger but it wasn't as good. The staff was friendly, helpful in explaining the menu in english and the service was fast although there were several people ordering and waiting for their orders. read more

Amazing vegan fast food! I got the Vienna burger which is vegan schnitzel and I was expecting it to be greasy but it actually had some really nice fresh veggies (lettuce, tomato, cucumber) in the burger that made it taste great and have a bit of crunch. Of course the veggie pattie was good too. The fries are nice and chunky, order some extra mayo for them. Their mayo is nice with a lemon flavour to it. The tiramisu was also good but I was struggling after the burger and fries! read more

A vegan schnitzel sandwich???? That's what this place does and they do it very well. They also have other sandwiches offered, but we tried the schnitzel sammie. The vegan schnitzel is fried tofu, I believe, and it's actually a very small part of the overall sandwich. Altogether, it comes with a bunch of other toppings, like a cabbage slaw and a tasty sauce. We also had fries with the lemon basil dip. It was mayonnaise based and was really good, something we hadn't tried before. This is a low-key joint where you order at the counter, pick up your food, and then seat yourself. It was crowded when we came on a weekday around lunchtime. A great burger place for vegans in Vienna. I absolutely love their Vienna burger! It's amazing and pairs well nicely with beer. The fries is also pretty good. I would give this place at least 4 stars but when I came back again to try their cheese burger I felt so disappointed. The choice of vegetables to include in the burger was way too overpowering to enjoy the vegan schnitzel. The aftertaste from that cheese burger was horrible. But I like the general atmosphere of this place and the Vienna burger is really good. read more

Excellent fast tasty healthy food! I didn't even realise it was all vegan until after ordering...I'm currently most of the way through the vegan tiramisu (OK perhaps that part isn't so healthy) and it's divine. Super speedy and fair prices. read more
