I checked it out and observed the clean area. A few customers seemed to be enjoying their meal. I ordered a Regular Classic Burger (6.99 Euro) while my husband ordered the Chuck Norris Chooses (CNC) Burger, which has two beef patties. We also ordered fries and took a seat while our food was being prepared. The table I sat in had a display of (to my amusement) Heinz Ketchup and 2 hot sauces available for one to freely use for their food. (Many fast-food places here in Vienna charge you extra for sauces). My meal was brought out to me by a worker who traditionally said Mahlzeit which translates to "blessed meal," -- basically a term the Viennese use to politely wish another to enjoy their meal. I took my first bite and I was impressed; the meat, cooked well, was juicy. The red onion, lettuce and tomato were fresh and the barbecue sauce was just enough. The bun was soft and not dry. I became daring and tried one of their hot sauces and found it to be a good spicy kick to the burger. The fries were thick, fat and with a slight crunch on the outside while the inside was soft. I finished my burger wanting another one. To me, it was that good. The burgers are not cheap to order, but the quality is great. I definitely recommend you to check out Burger Bros. Small is 100g from Austria, while regular (180g) and the chuck Norris (double 180g and fun name) are Angus from the US... THE US!? Why? Frozen patties aged in a storage container shipped forever... Sound appealing? It makes sense in the US, but not here. I tried the no1 at a Chuck Norris size (for fun) and regretted it after the first bite. I should have tried the 100g Austrian beef as maybe that could have a better taste. What ever happened to grinding your meat, seasoning it, and cooking it properly? Everyone trying to make more money, that's what! This is places adds itself to a middle category between McDonalds/BurgerKing/etc. and the Charlie Ps/saidTheButcherToTheCow/etc... You can absolutely taste the superior quality of the meat of the burger, the bread they made the bun with, the perfectly fried potatoes and don't even get me started with that to die for whipped cream on that bomb chocolate shake. The place was busy when we got there. My mom and I came with her little mobility scooter, and they were very accommodating with helping us find a place to stash it. Our server was so friendly. The food came out really quick. They also brought us these cute little keychains as a gift because they were excited to have real Americans in the American diner. Look when I'm traveling I always try all the cuisine there but at some point you may get a little bit of a craving for flavors from home. If only the flavors from home tasted like this!

But if I were ever meeting up with someone to grab a burger, my choice of restaurants would almost certainly be Weinschenke. There is a Weinschenke in the Karmeliter Markt in the Lepoldstadt, but the one I always go to is the main branch right near me in Margareten - on the Franzensgasse. Not only are the regular hamburgers good here, they also have veggie burgers which I really like. Personally I like the vegan burger more than the veggie burger. For starters the tasty seitan patty holds together better when eaten. Both are served on polenta rolls with Erdäpfel chips from the Lobaul. And if you think burgers - beef or veggie - only go with beer, think again. Weinschenke lives up to its name and has a worthy wine selection. The Weinschenke in the 5th District is very popular so be prepared to share a table. It's all part of the atmosphere.
