During my research, I came across Bass Point Resort which was exactly what I was looking for. The prices seemed very reasonable for the waterfront cabins. Upon arrival, we discovered the cabin was even better than the pictures made it seem. It was very clean and had an amazing view. The resort offers a lot of amenities, including nostalgic playground equipment, two swimming pools, quite a few BBQ grills, and best of all they have numerous boating/fishing/swimming docks. I ended up catching the biggest fish I have ever caught (a channel catfish) from the dock in front of our cabin. I cant speak highly enough about the staff. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. They even offered us a few fishing tips. This was definitely one of the best weekend trips I have ever been on and I cannot wait to return to Bass Point Resort!

You can tell it is family owned and they take pride in it. From the fully stocked pool towels, the spotless rooms, the clean fresh scent everywhere, and the well maintained facilities and amenities - nothing here has been allowed to slide. We were looking for a place to vacation and nostalgia led us back here. My mom and brother both had cabins. My brother was in 8 - which was a bit tucked away and close to the water. I got a hotel room for the week so I could have my own space. The hotel rooms don't have kitchens and there also weren't hair dryers in either the hotel or the cabins. Luckily, I had read through the website and brought my own. The cabins are a bit outdated but they did have a full kitchen. I enjoyed sitting on the porch while overlooking the lake. My nephew enjoyed the playground and was fascinated by the older slide. The game room seemed as it hadn't changed at all. There was at least one machine that took your money. The pool table also got jammed at least once. The pool was heated. My mom and nephew went swimming on the one day it wasn't raining. The pool was fine until the sun went away. We visited in October so they were lucky to use the pool at all. Being in close proximity to the lake, there was a lot of fishing that was done. Overall, this is a quiet resort. We had a great time visiting again. The hotels and cabins were extremely affordable (hotel was less than $400 for a week). Hopefully we will visit again in the summer when we can enjoy the lake more.

My husband has been here several times but not since it was taken over by Mararitaville so that was new to him. The room appeared to be freshly updated and had clean and nice amenities including a nice bathroom and shower and all the shampoo and lotion and soaps smelled wonderful - like coconut and Pinacolada. I like that the room key is a bracelet which makes it easy to wear and keep up with. I wish all hotels did this. This is not a 4-5 star resort so it met my expectations for the price point of about $200 a night.

They brought us icecream cupcakes for the kids and a beautful plant and thank you card! We left items behind and they even mailed them back to us without question! Thanks Mr. and Mrs. Johnson! We would definately go back everytime we rent at the lake of the ozarks! The only cons are the tv downstairs didn't work or the dvd players that we thought would entertain the kids, however with everything else the house had to offer it was easily overlooked.
