Amazing experience...because of the people! I took my 8 and 9 year old on this excursion and we all had a blast. It's safe, fun, and accessible for all. There are activities and places to play or simply kick-back...and of course the excitement of sailing through the trees! We arrived early and enjoyed a picnic lunch, a hammock and game of bags before our tour began. The three lines escalate in terms of adventure, but this experience is more than Ziplines if you are interested in caring for our planet. This truly is an eco-park. Shannon and Kevin have worked to create an experience that has minimal environmental impact and are working on innovative new ways to support native habitats and conserve natural resources. The Eco-Loo is my favorite. No smelly park latrines here. This innovative restroom is completely environmentally friendly and pleasant. It's made from reused and sustainable materials, includes passive solar and rain capture and it smells better (and is decorated better) than most flush restrooms!! Your job is simply to scoop in some wood chips after you do your business. Shannon and Kevin are super and real. I highly recommend this experience for anyone traveling in the Lake of the Ozarks area. read more

What a hidden treasure! I brought 8 of my closest friends with me to Zippy's in mid-September and we all had a great time here. I love how Shannon and Kevin were flexible with our time schedule. We loved how Kevin took the time to explain how they go above and beyond to make it SAFE while Shannon pointed out interesting features of Turtle Hill (including, of course, lots of turtles that one of the dogs kept bringing to Shannon!). You get beautiful views of the the Lake of the Ozarks as you "fly" through the trees. It feels like you're part of the family as you enjoy the beauty of the park. Some tips: - Bring a cooler and make a day of it. There are picnic tables, hammocks, and fire pits. Shannon and Kevin welcome you to stay as long as you like and to make yourself at home. - You can get through all three zip lines in 90 minutes or so, depending on how many riders are there that day. - Zip line 1 is easy, but fun. Challenge your friends to throw balls at you as you ride so you can try to catch them. It's a lot of fun. You actually run the zip line harness back up to the starting platform with your legs. Fun and not hard at all. - Zip line 2 is a bit more of a challenge, and quite a thrill. The stop at the bottom looks like it won't stop you, but it definitely will. There is a battery-powered winch that pulls you back up the hill at the end which is pretty fun too. - Zip line 3 is the most fun of the bunch. You zip through a tree-heavy hill with a great view of the Lake of the Ozarks to your left. How do you get back up? Well, your friends ride one of Kevin's inventions--a double-bike-powered pump. Two friends bring you back up. Get ready to hear jokes about your addiction to Oreos as you get pulled back up. It's not that hard and you get a nice little workout out of it. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd love to come back. This is perfect for families with young kids, groups of adults, seniors too. Kevin told me that they've even had wheelchair-bound folks ride in the comfortable, safe slings as they ride down the line. read more

I just want to say what a great time we had at Zippy's. The owners/staff were very friendly and accommodating. The 2 youngest boys were unsure whether they wanted to go. Shannon & Kevin were patient and flexible regarding pricing based on whether the young guys actually participated. As expected, once we convinced them to ride on their parent's lap for the 1st zip line, they were all in for the longer rides. There's plenty to do while waiting for the group ahead of you to finish. I would definitely go back, even without the kids. read more

Zippy's gave us a one-of-a-kind amazing experience. We were out on our first family vacation with our toddler, and the weather was just not cooperating. As a wheelchair user, there are only so many things that I was able to do, and then multiplied by the weather, we were striking out all over the place. I called and told them how I was dying to ziplane, and I had never done it before, and they made it happen! We had the best time and really enjoyed meeting their dog and seeing all the amazing eco-friendly projects they had going on. I'd definitely go back. read more

We had so much fun at this place! They were informative and super nice, not overpriced (which I expected) and when you book your reservation, it's just your family--not tons of people. A little hard to find, but it's so worth it. Very safe and they make you feel really comfortable. read more
