Granted, our boat had about 400 hrs on it/wasn't that old, it was just a rough boat concerning throttle response, steering and a few gauges were pretty flakey. I was t expecting a Donzi, but our particular boat, was a rental, that appeared to be driven pretty hard. Overall though, I would definitely recommend

I paid the 50% deposit and balance was due once we received boats. The boats were good other than one didn't have a working radio and they gave us a small wireless radio that couldn't even be heard, gauges on one boat didn't work. We returned boats with the more fuel they were brought to us with (less than 1/2 tank). Then I get a $500 larger charge on balance. I reached out to them and they told me that it was a delivery charge because our location was farther than they expected. My delivery location was on the original contract so they know exactly where I was. Now I just get an additional charge for $250 supposedly for fuel. We left the boats with more fuel than they gave them to us with. I have disputed the charges with my American Express card and I'm waiting on answers. Be aware of this company and the sneak attack of them, charging you extra and not honoring the original contract that was agreed to.

The only teeny tiny thing I would recommend is a longer rope for the anchor.. We anchored into a cove and didn't notice we got too close to the shallows and ended up damaging the propellor.. That was totally our bad and we happily paid for the replacement The staff was super cool about it and professional... My wife and I loved the fact that we were able to help support a smaller local business as well.. We absolutely recommend Dirty Duck.. They have the best price in town for a boat rental.. will definitely rent from them again next time.. We rented the 28' 150 HP boat.. I think next time we'll go for the 200 HP! Thanks again gang!!!

The rates were very reasonable- we got a 4 hour rental for $180 plus gas, and I only called yesterday to reserve it. Must be 25 with a credit card and valid driver's license to rent. The owner was very thorough in explaining how to use the boat, gave directions around the area, pointers and tips in case we got lost, help with how to maneuver the boat in case of choppy waters or wake from other boats, etc. The boat was clean and quite easy to use. They also have jet skis and speed boats as well as tubes available for rent, also at very reasonable prices. He made suggestions for places to eat, asked if we had a good time- a very personable guy. Sadly our guide Macy was less "passionate cave enthusiast" and more "reciting a script she's said a thousand times and stopped listening to herself." I still don't know how this part of Missouri used to be an ocean based on the tour. She gave the exact same intro four separate times. Not because groups were bumping into each other, just straight up robot mode, probably from also trying to work in the photo package pitch every single time. Ask a follow up question and you'd get a shrug dressed up as an answer. A kid asked about a mineral and got a confident "nope, not that" immediately followed by "I'm not really a gem expert," which, ma'am, pick one. Nobody could tell us where all the clay that used to be in the cave went (there's a lot of water now after the excavation), how the bootleggers pulled off their operation, or whether the cave's ever taken earthquake damage. Also they sell alcohol at the gift shop right before you head into a dark cave, which feels like a liability seminar waiting to happen. What indigenous tribe did the skeleton remains belong to? How did you know it was an indigenous person(s)? What is the difference between an arrowhead and a spear, and when did those relics be given to be on display? She said the stairs were built by child labor because there are child sized handprints in the concrete, but provided no evidence of truth or why. Was it his 18 kids? No one knows. At least it was cool inside while the weather was hot outside. The cave has a story to tell. Macy just wasn't the one telling it. Would recommend the cave, would not recommend Macy. She already told us she's had a bad Yelp review, and I'm sad to say I understand why.
