I accidentally scratched another boat leaving a crowded lake restaurant and was stuck with a $3000 bill none of which was covered by their "accident protection" plan that I paid extra for. It's an unethical and unsafe practice that leaves all boat drivers and owners at risk - a real accident could have cost hundreds of thousands out of pocket and who can afford that?
