Nothing bad to say about WFO watercraft rental's!!! This place was AWESOME!! We rented JetSki's during their off-season time right before spring break. The people that worked here were super reasonable laid back people and they allowed us to only rent them for two hours and give the office a call if we wanted to rent them for longer. We ended up doing 2 hours then called back for 2 more and one more time for one more hour lol. They were not very strict and they didn't care about how long we had them out.. They gave us a map of where we were allowed to go, they fitted us for life vests and quickly showed us how to do what we're supposed to do on the jetskis and sent us on our way. These JetSki's were in great shape and super fast (turbo-d ones) and super responsive! Almost impossible to flip. This was honestly the time of my life out on the water we got to stop at restaurants with docks on them and we went swimming and just speeding around having so much fun!!! A wonderful experience thanks to WFO watercraft rentals!!! If I ever came back to the Ozarks this is where I would get a boat rental or JetSki next time!! read more

Our boat day was an incredible experience!! I was with a group of ladies for a bachelorette party!! Patty Schenewerk is the best!! These folks are great! Best price and service in Osage beach area! I could tell on the phone when we reserved the boats from home that they were super friendly and helpful. When we got down there, the dock crew (Madison, Reagan, and apologies for not knowing the names of the rest of the girls) helped us get everything together we needed (kids life vests, water toys, music!) to have a blast out on the lake! Boats were in great shape and ran perfectly. When it came time to settle up, we rented for 3 days, Dan was super helpful in figuring out the final tally. In conclusion, I can't recommend these guys enough and we are definitely looking forward to renting again from them next summer:) read more

We rented a pontoon from this company for a bachelor party for 8 hours, and 1 hour in the engine blew in the middle of the lake. The boat was supposedly "new." When we called for a tow the people that showed up were super nice(the only reason I'm giving more than 1 star) but the tow rope immediately snapped and we had to jury-rig a tow rope and after many tries my friend smashed his fingers between the boats trying to connect them and once we finally got them connected we couldn't go any faster than slightly over idle so it took us almost 4 hours to get to the dock. When we got back the owner said "well you still had it for a couple hours" and charged us $270. Didn't offer a refund or even an apology. This place has low prices but a tiny safe zone where you can take the boat and terrible customer service. read more

The boat was super clean and perfect for the ten people we had with us. They aren't out to try and stick you with up charges and scams like some other rental places will do. I do not usually respond to reviews on the internet, but as a long time customer of WFO Watercraft rental, and the fact that I was on the dock when this event took place, I feel obligated to respond to Rachel G's review, as it is misleading and inaccurate. I have always had the best experiences at WFO. The owners and staff are always very nice, accommodating, honorable, and really easy to work with. I would defiantly recommend WFO Watercraft rental. As being a customer and experiencing things first hand, I must say that WFO employees explain rental agreements EVERY TIME; even though I've read then before. WFO explains operating procedures EVERY TIME, even though I've heard the speech/operating instructions before. WFO shows me the wave runners EVERYTME; so I know what rental choices I have. WFO's staff advises, based on my needs and passenger count, which machine would be best for me. They are very thorough. I still have the option to rent whatever machine I want, but I always listen to WFO staff as they are the experts. WFO's staff are not just going to try to rent me the most expensive machine just to rent me the most expensive machine! WFO has a very honorable business philosophy. In response to Rachel G's rant, being in a hurry, not paying attention, and just signing the rental agreements without understanding it is no excuse for irresponsibility. Likewise, if you do not pay attention you will not know how to operate the machine safely. Pay attention and you will have a fun and safe rental. WFO's staff explains to their customers how to maintain weight and balance on their wave runners, so that their customers are able to have the safest and most exciting experience possible. I have witnessed and experienced this first hand. Keep in mind that these watercrafts are very expensive machines, and WFO trusts you with them. If you damage someone's machine, like swamping the motor and electronics with water, you are responsible to make things right. Simply saying you were in a hurry is not an excuse Rachel G. Priced the same, maybe lower, than all the other boat rental places, what sets them apart is their genuinely friendly and helpful customer service. We tried two other places before calling WFO Watercraft Rentals and both were boarder-line rude. WFO Watercraft Rentals were up-beat, positive and friendly. WFO looks like a shack with a good old dude sitting at a table out front. Service was very friendly as I was in town on business and wanted to get on water for abit. They close at 730 so had plenty of time for a two hour rental for $80. He gave advice on places to go and sites to se. When asked about what happens when late .... Called them around noon to see if they had a deck boat for a 1pm rental. They said sure, but it's an older boat. I said, will it pull a tube? they said yep, it runs great, it's just not pretty. No problem! We arrived, rented the boat, and went out for about 3 hrs. Everyone had a blast, and everyone at WFO was great! they even gave me back some cash for not staying out the full 4 hrs. Super friendly and helpful staff. Parking is a little tight and the facility is not new and modern, but the boat worked great and was exactly what I expected. Since I was renting on an "off-peak" day, they were very flexible on reservation and rental times. Located on a great part of the lake for skiing and tubing. They recommended we headed down stream towards the Ozarks State Park where it will be less crowded and smoother waters. They were right on! I will definitely be coming back here to rent watercraft on the future! read more

We rented a boat from here last minute. Service was great by everyone! Prices were lower than most as well. They showed us how to work everything on the boat. Explained the charge process upfront. Fitted us for life jackets and got us a tube and we were on our way! We had a great time and will definitely come back here for a boat rental on our next trip! WORST renting experience ever and TERRIBLE customer service! Do not be fooled by their low prices, which are a reflection of the poor quality and service. I called a day in advance to reserve a supercharger jet ski that seated 3 only to arrive at 10 am the following day and discover they rented it out beneath me. (They also ask you at the counter what price you were quoted and decide what to charge you on the fly. The girl in front of me was charged $50 more for the same package.) So we had no choice but to downgrade to the basic jet ski that seats 2 and as we were idling across the no wake zone a warning light started flashing. The jet ski shut off suddenly and wouldn't go. It was extremely dangerous, being a holiday weekend, with large boats zooming by in the crowded channel. I called the owner and he instructed me to turn it off and back on, like this was a normal occurrence. It started to run again until we got a mile from the rental place and ultimately shut off a total of 3 times in the first 15 minutes. All in all we spent well over an hour and a half stranded on the busy lake in the hot sun waiting for the owner to come get the jet ski. He left us on a random dock telling us he'd refund us and promising to "make it right" but we'd have to wait 4hrs for another jet ski to be available so to come back and they'd get us on one from 3-6 that afternoon. I called a family member to come pick us up and told the owner we'll come back later. When we came back hours later at the next time slot he said it would be $160 for 3 hrs on the water. We were under the impression he would give us 3 hours free of charge for all the trouble earlier and his promise to "make it right". The owner was extremely rude and just kept insisting it was a good enough deal that he was not going to charge us for the hour and a half we were stranded on the lake. No kidding, the jet ski didn't work. I asked him about making it right and he said yeah I'm not gonna charge you $235 for the rental earlier. His mentality was that he COULD charge us but was doing us a favor by choosing not to. I told him that's not making it right and he said "Jesus Christ I can't just give it to you". If we had known he would not try to do right by his customers and keep his word we would have gladly taken our business elsewhere instead of waiting around for hours to return to his place. Perhaps he thought he could get over on some tourists but unfortunately for him our family lives here year round and would have been repeat customers. Instead he ruined our entire day's plans. The sad part about it all is he had the audacity to tell me it didn't cut off on him when he brought it back so he rented it to ANOTHER customer and they too got stranded on the lake. This is a money hungry business and we WILL NEVER RENT FROM THIS PLACE AGAIN. read more
