We hired Sergio to capture photos for our short-term rental business. We had a great initial…read moreconversation with Sergio. He assured us that he could fulfill our vision and deliver a great final product. He was flexible with the scheduling and showed up on time. On the day of the photography we were excited to partner with him. We attempted to give him direction since we had a vision of what we wanted the photos to look like to promote our home. Sergio 'yes'ed' us on everything we asked for without much back and forth, which should have been the first red flag. We moved forward and stayed hopeful that the photos would meet our standards for running a high-end business. When receiving the photos we had mixed reactions. Some of the photos were decent and temporarily usable for our business. However, many of the photos had defects such as insufficient lighting, crooked images, and blown out editing. We continued communication with Sergio as he promised that we would be given unlimited photos for this project. When asking for a few more photos of certain areas, he didn't have more to give, and said "unlimited does not mean infinite." Almost immediately Sergio became defensive and unwilling to work together to get us the final product that we had both agreed upon. This was right after we had given him grace due to a family emergency on his end, which caused the photos to be delivered a week after we agreed. We had several email and text exchanges that honestly just left us frustrated, a bit confused, and unsatisfied. Sergio did an adequate job with some of the photos insofar as he was able to bring his tripod to all 4 corners of each room and snap a picture. However, his customer service and communication left a lot to be desired. I know the phrase 'the customer is always right' is a bit cheesy, but we would at least appreciate some respect when talking about our business. For example, he referred to our pool as a "bag of water" and refused to capture photos to highlight its unique qualities. For reference, it is a Bestway Steel Pro, one of those unique Viking pools that guests have specifically commented on enjoying. He didn't listen to any of our direction on how we wanted to capture the image--we felt he lacked the creativity and patience to capture the unbridled beauty of our home. We have since removed all his photos from our listing and website and had to hire a new photographer to redo the work. By the way, the new photos of the pool are beautiful and really make it stand out as one of the highlights of our property! We wish him well, but we would not recommend him for anyone that's looking to run a high-quality Airbnb, real estate, or any business that leans on images to promote to their product.

He also got a ton of beautiful shots with his regular camera. We have a lifetime of memories on film. I highly recommend him for any occasion. Five stars for sure!

We worked with Blake as the videographer for Desert Glow Beauty Bar's recent photo and video shoot,…read moreand he was fantastic from start to finish. Super professional, easy to work with, and clearly knows how to capture content that feels both elevated and natural -- exactly what we were hoping for. He came prepared, guided the flow of the shoot smoothly, and had a great eye for lighting, angles, and movement. Blake made everyone feel comfortable on camera, which made a huge difference in the final footage. The quality of his work exceeded our expectations and will be a huge asset for our website and social media. If you're looking for someone reliable, creative, and efficient, I highly recommend Blake. We'll definitely be working with him again!

I don't like putting out negative energy or negativity period, but this needs to be said! And it's…read morea long one!!! I first met Blake Hill through an online search for a videographer, and I stated exactly what I needed and what my fees were. When he called me, we spoke of how many cameras would be needed and I stated ( 2 ) cameras, one stationary camera to capture the entire show with live band, and one ( 1 ) camera to capture close ups, Blake also ask me? Would it be ok to walk in front of the stage while I was performing and I said Yes in deed, whatever we needed to get the best footage possible was just fine with me, since I desperately needed footage with live band to get certain local shows here, and I didn't have a lot of money to spend, and I was so excited! I also stated that I needed as followed: 1-45 minute footage since some cruise line entertainment required a 45- show reel so they can see exactly what I do in my show, plus 1- one- 2:30-3:00 minute promotional video clip with all the glitter so I can send to agents, and I ask for complete Raw Footage of the 90 minute show! He had no problem with it and agreed, it's even on the invoice receipt. At that time, I arranged for him to go to palm desert ca where the venue was to meet up with the folks in charge of the event to see the room in advance so he can get a feel of the room, I also asked Blake since the sound technician at the last minute wasn't able to make it, would he be able to do the sound for an additional $400 on top of the $500, he agreed and met up with my soundman and later called me to tell me everything was great and he showed Blake how to use the board and most importantly, patch the band music equipment into the room house PA system! The day of the show, he was not able to patch the bands instrument to the new system and all you can hear was my voice through my cordless microphone, and the band leader was scrambling looking for additional monitors for the stage, it was crazy, and stressful and took hrs, unfortunately my mic was a little flat and his knowledge of the board was pretty limited! About a week after the show I texted Blake since he's wasn't much into the old tradition of calling on the phone like i have all my life and wanted to keep it professional as possible and I ask him since I am extremely experienced in my work as a Barbra Streisand impersonator and tribute artist, I ask if I can be there when he starts editing the video since I know which songs and mannerisms are Streisand that I do quite well and since he was not aware of Streisand's movements and so forth, I thought I would be helpful and we could make it a fun time, but he said he did not like that and did not feel comfortable about it, so I accepted that and hope and prayed that it will come out good, I also asked him if I can send him a flash drive with a self address stamp envelope since he first said he was going to send it through a Google Drive, I am not very computer savvy and honestly haven't really used Google Drive before, which is why I asked about sending him a flash drive, but he said no he doesn't do things that way, so after hrs of trying to get into my 7 yr old laptop google drive, I found the video clip. I was able to download onto my laptop, but that was all! He sent me a short promo video which was two minutes long, I asked for 2 1/2 to 3 minutes in order to get more of the best Streisand songs, but that didn't happen, I was hoping for shorter clips and more songs! He also asked me to send him photos of me as Streisand so he can incorporate them into the video, which I was happy about, so I sent him many to choose from, but apparently never used either one of them so that was a waste of time and disappointing! Unfortunately you can only hear my voice, but not the band due to the fact that they were not patched in to the house system! I asked him if he can please send me the raw footage of the 90 minutes set, and he sent me the raw footage of the stationary camera but never sent me the raw footage of the 2nd camera which was the one he used for close-up shots, and I need both of them, which is what I paid him for, I never got it, I told him respect goes both ways and as a customer who put out $900 and didn't get what I paid for it is very sad, I did talk to my Entertainment attorney, but after thinking about it, I decided to let it go because it's not worth the stress and take the loss which I have so if you ever want to work with somebody on a personal level other then TV ads or real estate ads which I can say he is very good at, and why I hired him in the first place, but not for what I hired him for unfortunately!!! If he would have just made it easier and put my videos on a flash drive with both footage! This would've been so easy and done! I might not ever get it from him, but at least I spoke my truth
