Not only did i leave his training a better shooter but a formally training handgun owner and that was most important. Mr West imparts any and all of his knowledge as well as indepth explainations on any questions you might have. I feel like I can safely own and carry any weapon and the fact that they allow us to contact them anytime after training is a plus. They go over local laws and statutes that anyone carrying a fire arm should know and Mr west will spend the extra time with you if neccessary getting you comfortable carrying, maintaining, and most important.. USING your weapon correctly. Its not just about having a gun because the risks are way to high. I will highly recommend this company for your training and make sure you get all your questions answered.. Yes you will need fingerprints, Yes there are fees for the application, and you will need to specifically apply in the states you want to carry in. in DC you will actually have to register your weapon as well.

Andy emphasized safety and was kind enough to add on the Utah Concealed Permit course for those who were interested directly following the Conceal Carry Permit Class. He offered full service including fingerprinting, passport photos, and helped us fill out our applications at no extra cost to the Utah class. I appreciated having an instructor that is professional and not only knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter, but who genuinely cares about his fellow citizens being able to defend themselves and practice their constitutional rights. I read a previous review mentioning race, and the insinuation is absurd. Eight out of ten students in the class were African American and Latino, and there were only two men in the class on that particular Saturday. Everyone was treated with inclusion, dignity, and respect. If you have any interest in taking the class, do so. It is money well spent, and you will have a great time and meet nice people.

I explained this to the man behind the counter, and he immediately understood my concerns about the differences in laws and procedures. He took the time to walk me through the entire process, answered all of my questions clearly, and remained patient and helpful as I looked at multiple options. The cashier was also friendly and efficient, which made the rest of the experience smooth and hassle-free. That said, I want to acknowledge that months ago, I stopped by to ask some general questions and had a very different experience. The women working the back counter at the time were rude and unhelpful, which left a bad impression. So I understand why some of the negative reviews exist and I'd also be cautious of overly glowing reviews from other users with no review history. In short, Fred's may be hit or miss depending on who helps you, but this visit when I was ready to make a purchase was quick, painless, and left me with no complaints. Based on this latest experience, I will return for additional purchases.

Their class setup and knowledge they brought forward on current Maryland case law left me with the confidence and knowledge to continue in maintaining and being a responsible and safe permit holder. Citadel Training Solutions also covers a variety of equipment which not only includes firearms but first response and emergency first aid equipment. Using your own equipment? Not sure? You can reach out to Brad for recommendations which I really felt comfortable with because their communications were on-point, email, text, cell phone they won't leave you hanging, all my communications were returned promptly, and that didn't stop there. Their classroom setup was comfortable and efficient with two extremely large monitors that can be viewed from every seat in the classroom, comfortable chairs, and ample desk space for taking notes. Citadel training also had me covered, if you are unsure in using your own equipment for qualifying on the range they are able to provide you with theirs should you prefer and their leaving no student behind the curve attitude is excellent if you were to feel to be a little nervous, but as classes move forward that will simply melt away.
