A huge shoutout to Brittany (Manager), who went above and beyond to help me identify exactly what I needed for my weapon. Her knowledge, patience, and ability to clearly explain my options made the process easy and comfortable. She also walked me through the differences between paying per visit, monthly membership, and the year-long membership. Because of her professionalism and guidance, I signed up for the year -- and I'm glad I did! I also want to thank Joe, who made a quick fix on my setup and had me good to go in minutes. His skill and friendly attitude truly stood out. This wasn't my first five-star visit either. I was here last Friday and received the same level of excellent service. I'm sorry I didn't catch the names of the two gentlemen who helped me then, but they were just as professional and supportive. Sharpshooters has earned my trust, my business, and my recommendation. If you're looking for a top-notch indoor range with a knowledgeable staff and great customer service, this is the place to go!

They have a lot of members from all walks of life, from hunters to law enforcement, casual target shooters to dedicated competitors. Despite recent pressures from Maryland legislation, Berwyn's membership remains strong and may even be growing larger as one of the few venues people can use for their hobby or career. The range itself is set in the woods of rural Bowie. Admittedly, it looks more like a Boy Scouts camp than a major high-tech range, but that's part of its charm. They have three "no sky" ranges, meaning there are baffles set to block any stray bullets that do not head down the range. A 50 foot, a 50 yard, and a 100 yard allow people to use whatever they need for their chosen firearms. As an outdoor range, you can expect to deal with weather and climate as well as insect life. I always check the forecast before deciding to head out there. As a private range, this is not accessible to the general public. To gain access you must send an e-mail asking about membership. Within a month, you will know if you are approved to join (I've never known anyone to be turned down). After that, you have access to the range, but must remember to follow all range rules, including proper safety, avoiding damage to the range, and cleaning up after yourself. If you're into firearms, for anything from hunting to marksmanship, and looking for a good range in the Prince George's and Arundel area, then I recommend looking into this place. Go to their website and check them out!

Service was the opposite but my brother covered that in his review and John decided to text me after the fact wanting his review to pertain only to the knife sharpening so here that is. This is a very mixed review because, up until we got our knives, the entire experience couldn't possibly have been easier or more pleasant. For some context, I live out of state, so all of my communication was over the phone or over text. The owner was extremely friendly on the phone and I arranged to pay in advance to sharpen 6 knives (the price was very reasonable). As this was a gift for family members, I gave him the name of my father as the recipient of the knives. However, somewhat confusingly, I then asked my brother who lives in the area to bring the knives in to be sharpened. The owner charged my brother for the service and my brother paid, both clearly misunderstanding that I paid in advance. This is where the entire service became unbelievably disappointing. The owner went back and forth with my brother about how unlikely it would have been that I paid in advance given that he normally asks customers to pay after he completes the sharpening job. After I sent screenshots of our earlier conversation and of my payment, the owner agreed to pay my brother back for the double payment. All was well and good except the owner sent my brother a text message saying "You all couldn't have made this more difficult". I concede that we weren't entirely clear in our communication but this is simply not any way to talk to customers who, lest we forget, had just paid for your service and apologized for our mistake. I was genuinely so excited to work with a small local business who, up to that point, was extremely friendly and helpful. Based on other reviews this is almost certainly an outlier which made it all the more bizarre. So, aside from a single completely unacceptable comment made in response to a common customer mistake, the service was everything we could have wanted and I hope he continues to provide great service in the future.
