The best team in town! Their expertise in each category is always impressive. Their suggestions never miss, the customer service is second to none, available options are always of the highest quality, and their tasting events are always a delight. They have a way of making you feel like a friend who truly wants to help you find what you're looking for. read more

TERRIBLE STAFF!!! Incredibly rude experience at checkout. My husband (30) and I (25) stopped in to pick up a bottle, and I had forgotten my ID at home. They refused to sell to my husband, even though he was the one making the purchase and had his ID. We went all the way home to get mine, only to return and see a child who looked to be about 12 carrying three bottles of wine up to the counter for his parents to purchase. Apparently that wasn't an issue, yet me simply being with my 30-year-old husband without my ID was. I understand stores have policies and employees have to follow them, but there is a polite and professional way to handle situations like this. This employee at checkout was unnecessarily rude from the start, which made an already frustrating situation much worse. Consistency and basic courtesy go a long way. Unfortunately, we won't be returning. read more

Store was well organized. Staff was friendly and helpful. They carry a wide variety of options- and will help you find it! read more

Great selection on wine. Prices were ok. Always like a helpful staff for wine pairing questions. Parking can be a challenge depending on time of day. Nice local store option. read more

Great service. Everyone is very helpful. Great selection of both spirits and wine for everyone. Typically some good tastings. Highly recommend. read more

My new favorite shop! The nicest, most helpful employees- They are incredibly knowledgeable and can answer just about any question you can think of (Simon is the best!) They get awesome allotments of stuff that's typically hard to find. Provides the neighborhood feeling while keeping competitive prices. read more

Omg so rude! I went for my birthday early Monday! Just was looking around with my boyfriend. I'm Mexican and he's white and this lady worker in her 40s cracked her neck looking at us, I'm assuming the blonde manager, asked if "are y'all okay?" in the most hostile way! Even my white boyfriend felt the hostility. I felt like we were judged for our clothes. We left soon quickly after that. Very unwelcoming. So yeah maybe don't wear athletic wear haha ! Very rude service and ruined my birthday morning! read more

Great knowledgeable staff, very kind, great selection. Definitely recommend visiting and browsing their selection

Nice large store with excellent selection, and very helpful staff. No waiting to check out either. I noticed that on a Friday they had several tasting stations going on with both wine and spirits. Fun atmosphere is always a plus! read more

Absolutely terrible customer service. I wish I could give them zero stars but Yelp won't let me. The woman at the counter wouldn't sell to me and 2 others because one of us didn't have an ID. We drive back home to get the other's wallet, left the other at home, and the 2 of us returned. She proceeded to not sell to us because the third friend was not present. Apparently it's a state law? Very inconvenient. The same woman a few weeks back misread my ID thinking I was underage as well. Poorly staffed establishment and terrible hospitality!!! Shop elsewhere. read more

This is a great place to shop . Mr Harris and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable! If you need wine or spirits come by. Monday thur Saturday. read more

Pogo's Wine & Spirits - Great place. Friendly people. Best selection!! - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Dallas, Texas

Nice selection of wine and hard to find spirits (especially LTOs) but I've now been to Pogo's three separate times and feel like it's no accident that I've had terrible customer service each time. I've not once been greeted or welcomed in. Not once been offered help and after my last visit where I wandered the aisles aimlessly looking for a specific bottle of something and passing not one, not two, not three but FOUR employees completely ignored me. I guess doing inventory during lunch hours is more important than an actual customer. With liquor stores being a dime a dozen in town, skip Pogo's. The parking is terrible anyway. read more

I love this place! They have an amazing selection, in the cutest little corner locale, with the friendliest most helpful staff. It very quickly became my favorite liquor store after my first visit. There hasn't been a time they didn't have what I was looking for, and they give great recommendations too. *They're taking ALL the safety precautions with COVID going on too...masks required, directional arrows on the floor, distancing markers at checkout, limiting contact between employees and customers. Well Done Pogos! Solid selection, very helpful service and overall, the best store I have been to in the Dallas area. I will be back. read more

My 27 year old daughter was in the store with her19 year old sister over the holidays to purchase beverages for a dinner party she (the 27 y/o) was hosting that evening. She was told that because her sister was underage they would not allow the 27 y/o to make the purchase. My daughter questioned the clerk but was given the same response. She was so taken aback that she left instead of asking for a manager. I assume the clerk thought she was going to give the beverages to her sister - which she was not - but either way that is none of the clerk's business. Do they also withhold selling alcohol to those that they suspect have a drinking problem? If Pogo's policy is to judge the intent of someone with a valid ID to make a purchase please let me know so my family can take our business elsewhere. read more

Solid selection normally. Not a Spec's or Total Wine . More intimate and easy to get help. I have gone here for over twenty years . read more

The absolute most helpful and knowledgeable staff I've ever encountered.

This use to be my go to place for all things whiskey/bourbon, but then they decided that retail pricing doesn't exist. Let's charge 5 times what retail would be, that will make our customers happy. Customer loyalty doesn't matter, let's just make as much money as possible. I understand they have to operate a profitable business, but not at the cost of hurting extremely loyal customers. Hard pass read more

Over priced, and staff is usually so absorbed with anything else but customers. I'd much rather go to another spirit shop, too bad, I would like to support local. read more

Pogo put together a legit wine/cheese basket for local delivery and were super helpful/responsive. Thank you!

The customer service at Pogo's is always top notch! Their willingness to help with a gift, tracking down a rare find or simply lending an extra hand to the car is always much appreciated. They are proactive and helpful with a smile! read more

Super great selection especially of Champagne. Now mind you i didn't invest to much time in the other areas of the store but their champagne selection reminds of Total Wines in south Florida. And i forgot to mention excellent knowledgeable customer service! read more

Pogo's Wine & Spirits - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Dallas, Texas

I live in Arizona and wanted to send a bottle of mezcal to a friend who lives in Dallas. While searching online, I learned that Pogo's delivers, and, they had a hard-to-find bottle of mezcal that fit the bill. After filling out the delivery form with instructions, I received a call from Michael at Pogo's the next day, verifying that all was correct. When I heard from my friend that his gift had arrived successfully and that he was tickled, I knew then that Pogo's was my new dependable go-to store. Thanks to everyone at Pogo's! read more

Great knowledgeable staff and surprisingly good prices! Recently I checked at two other local liquor stores, both begin with 'S'. My favorite Rum and Vodka were both higher priced, the rum by 25% in one shop. They get a good selection of craft beers too and I am told Pogo's has a great wine selection. read more

Great customer service. Extraordinarily helpful and knowledgeable staff. They deliver and they can order any wine that they don't currently have available. read more

Very disappointed in what this store as become as a result of people in the area (Park Cities) being dumb enough to pay secondary market prices for bottles or bourbon that The store gets at less than retail from its distributors. Was in recently and saw a bottle marked up almost 5 times the MSRP. It's not by happenstance they know they can get away with such egregious pricing. Pogos you get good bottles and your staff is friendly and knowledgeable but your no better then any of the other skid row liquor stores marking up bottles. read more

Number one thing I look for when I come here. . . .the dog!!! It makes me happy that he gets to hang out in the store and great everyone. I always find items here that I do necessarily see everywhere else. Pogo's also has special releases and rare finds. This is a very unique liquor store that doesn't cut corners on quality and service. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They are always around to help, no searching for someone to answer questions. And they deliver. . .cool. Prices may be slightly higher that other liquor stores on some items. read more

I placed online order and later called via phone to confirm that order was ready since my son was going to drive 45 minutes to pick up for me. Once he arrived they tried to raise price and ultimately refused to honor the order that had already been prepaid and confirmed with them phone. the owner reached out to me and was more than generous in resolving issue read more

Holy shit, this place is amazing. This is the beverage store that God would go to if he imbibed the good stuff. And I do mean the good stuff. This location has some rare beer releases that are very hard to find in Texas. For example, this is one of the only stores in Texas that I've seen carry bombers of Twisted Pine Cucumber Ale. And that's just the beginning here, because the true fancy stuff is the hard(er) variety. They have several of the limited release Koons designed bottles of Dom Perignon, bottles of Louis XIII, and rare vodkas and spirits that I've only heard about. Interestingly enough, there's even an original Daniel Johnston framed up by the Louis setup. Even if you don't want to buy the fancy stuff, walking through this store is a trip through a boozy Wonderland. 10/10. Would fantasy shop again. read more

My first visit to Pogo's was the most unique liquor store experience I've ever had. Consider me stupefied by the insane collection of beverages they carry, the vast majority of which I've never seen in any other liquor store. The beer selection was also unique with options I've never seen. That alone is a reason to check this place out; you're gonna learn ya somethin' about fine liquor here. I want to focus on one wall of product that blew my mind, and that product is mezcal. I have turned into a mezcal junkie and the offerings at Pogo's brought me to tears. SO. MUCH. FINE. MEZCAL. Never have I ever seen such a collection of rare (and very expensive) bottles of mezcal. They had some "reasonable" bottles, one of which I bought ($50/750). It was completely worth the money (Alipus Mezcal Joven - San Juan). If I win the Powerball tonight, first thing I'm doing tomorrow is emptying the Mezcal section at Pogo's. I'd like to thank the employee I asked about Mezcal for giving me a short and pertinent description of the liquor and the back stories to every bottle they have! This place is awesome for niche and hard-to-fine liquors and beers! read more

Pogo's is like a permanent (and large) trunk show of libations. They routinely carry obscure and/or non-mainstream labels as well as a few carefully curated usual suspects. Knowledge of the staff is beyond compare. Whether you're looking for a drink-now pinot, gift-worthy scotch, or an age-able Bordeaux, you'll have access to more sage advice than you bargained for. When (not if) you buy a case, you get 10% off as a Cork Club member, as well as points that can be used toward stemware purchase. Keep close to social media for events like winemaker visits and tastings - they pop up with little notice but include vertical tastings and small-name vineyards. Often for free. read more

Where to start? I decided to give Pogos a tey this morning in a fool's errand for Blantons. Of course they didnt have it but the sales clerk steered me to EH Taylor small batch which they prices at 99 dollars. being new to whiskeys I asked a whiskey fb group with many seasoned experts in it about thisnbottle. They all immediately and nimerously said NO WAY . Retail should be closer to 45 . And indeed I found the bottle a little further north at another liquor store for 45. At what point does pricing for demand become price gauging? Pogos had DOUBLED the retail price! What a shameful way to traat cuatomers. Avoid this tip off of anplace like the plague. read more

Great customer service! I texted them a picture of 2 wines that they did not carry but the offered to order for me. When I went to pick them up, they were quick, very friendly, and carried them out to my car. Really love the ability to order via text! read more

I've been a customer with Pogo for a couple of years. I've purchased a wide selection of bourbon at fairly retail prices. But when I called and asked about a couple bottles of bourbon I was looking for and was told the price, I thought it was a joke when they wanted $65 for a bottle of Eagle Rare barrel pick which retails at $30 everywhere else and $400 for a bottle of Elijah Craig 18 that retails $100-120. I completely understand raising the prices for due to being a small store but this is ridiculous. read more

Love this store. Knowledgeable and helpful staff...always a pleasant experience shopping at Pogo's!

Horrible experience. We came from out of state. 21 and 23 years old. Both got denied even though we had our drivers license to prove our age. Worker was unhelpful and unwilling to even scan our IDS. Total BS. If your visiting the area take your business else where. They won't help you. Go support the other liquor stores in the area who don't have a problem with out of state licenses. read more

Great selection, everyone was super chill. I'd recommend it. The prices aren't bad, seemed pretty standard across the board, however the beer prices seemed a bit inflated, not sure why. read more

One of my absolute favorite stores in Dallas. Independent stores like Pogo's are a rare find in today's big-box America. This is my favorite liquor store in Dallas! It seems small and unassuming from the outside, but they do not disappoint. If you're looking for any unique or rare wines, this is probably your best bet in Dallas to find it. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with finding the right items for you. The prices, while not the absolute cheapest, are not absurdly overpriced either. They always do great free tastings on Saturday's - we've sampled $200 bottles of chateaneuf du pape French wines and even a sip of a several thousand $$ bottle of cognac, amongst other things. read more

Hosting a party? Use Pogo's! Co-hosted a party for about 130 people and this place was great. Here's why: 1. Rudy helped me determine what I needed and how much 2. They deliver! 3. They will buy back any unopened liquor or wine (not beer, however) The buyback process was easy and they sent me a check that I had within 3 days. What a great concept - this will make sure you don't stress over buying too much. I highly recommend them! read more
