I visited in the evening while staff was restocking and I didn't feel like a burden. I walked around and saw they had a huge selection of items. A lot of the commonly allocated items or in demand spirits were on their selves, but just had inconsistent mark ups on the really in demand items. I was able to grab an ECBP with no mark up and saw some other limited selections from at most 5 years ago. I'll keep an eye on this store moving forward. Because of the $200 mark up on EHT small batch but $5 mark up on Buffalo Trace, I'm giving them a 4. Yes there was a homeless guy relaxed in the side of the parking lot but he wasn't rude. And the cashier who seemed to struggle with speaking English wasn't rude when I'd ask to see some bottles in the back. I appreciate their transparency and customer service. Definitely will be stopping by whenever I'm in that area.

I'm not sure what the average clientele is here because it's kind of randomly situated on Harry Hines, where the car shops and dingy motels are. The lady and the man behind the cart didn't speak english very well but good thing I know my way around ordering elotes! At $3 for a cup, this place probably had the most expensive elotes around. The prices aren't labeled anywhere so I have a fishy feeling that they just charge whatever to whoever they feel like. Ingredients were also subpar. The corn is probably from a can, sitting for however long in heated pot. Although I asked for everything on the elotes, I think this place only puts mayo and cheese on top. And only two choices of hot sauces which have questionable shelf life. I'm not expecting a sterile environment when I'm around an elotes cart, but the folks who worked there had dirty clothes and their cart didn't look that clean either. Elotes themselves were pretty chewy and not very good. And from the looks of it, they don't get much business, so who knows how long their inventory has been sitting around. Leaving Total Wine in 2025…read more My husband and I have had two extremely disappointing experiences at the Total Wine location on Oak Lawn. During our first visit, my husband asked an employee for assistance locating an item. The employee responded in an unprofessional and inappropriate manner, stating, "If you get your lazy ass down here you can see it's here." This language was completely unacceptable. On a separate visit on New Year's Eve, while checking out, the cashier requested my ID, which I provided. She then asked for my husband's ID, even though he was not making the purchase. He explained that he did not have his ID with him, as he had joined me on the errand at the last minute. The employee stated that once an ID is requested, everyone must show one and informed him--rudely--that he could not remain in the store and needed to leave. When I addressed the employee's tone, she responded by saying, "I could have been ruder." Both interactions demonstrated a lack of professionalism, courtesy, and basic customer service. These experiences were extremely disappointing and have led us to discontinue shopping at this location.
