It's a tonic... and this is where I was last Sunday, the first summer(ish) weekend of 2011 The bar is small but very charming. It has a fireplace too, which is usually going in the Autumn and Winter. There is another small cosy room behind the bar, this then leads to a run of the mill Irish pub lounge. Funnily the prices are cheaper in the bar, than in the lounge, which is a typical thing of pubs in north county Dublin, or so I am told by my brother. Today though, I was a little peeved and being passed over twice while waiting to order a couple of pints. The locals know what part of the bar is best to stand at for ordering. It was a Wednesday so it was pretty quiet with just about four or five others there, very small but well decorated cozy spot. I got a couple of Erdinger's and just enjoyed chilling out on the couch looking at all of his posters of Johnny Cash and Jimi Hendrix and Bob Dylan and others while listening to them also. And if you like antiques he has that too, not to mention a singed photo of Roger Daltry who signed it when the Who were playing in Dublin a while back, so Roger Daltry was there which is pretty cool. One of my favorite bars I've been to in a while, the decoration is brilliant. You wont be disappointed.

I cannot believe how large this pub is inside! We stopped by after seeing it on a "Traditional Pubs…read moreof Ireland" poster, and because my grandfather's name was James Griffin. The atmosphere was perfect! It was early Sunday morning, and there were already a few locals inside having their morning beer and reading the newspaper. I did some exploring because it looks so small on the outside, but you get in, and it just keeps going and going. The service was lovely. The waitstaff were welcoming and made us feel welcome. The food was perfect. I got the burger and chips. The burger was delicious! The beef quality overseas is sublime! The chips were massive and delicious! Perfectly crisp with a fluffy interior. I also got the pot roast and accompaniments. It was lovely! When in Ireland, you must have a Guinness, I'm sure it's illegal not to! I definitely recommend checking out a pub while in Dublin.
