I never ordered a POD. My neighbor did. Yet somehow, a PODS delivery driver drove up MY driveway--despite my house number being clearly visible in two places--and drove the passenger side of the truck and POD through my lawn. She left a deep rut in our yard that my 3-year-old and I now regularly trip and roll our ankles on getting in and out of our car. She also broke the cap off a plumbing cleanout that was installed barely a year ago, which we had to replace ourselves. We have CAMERA FOOTAGE showing the truck on our property and in our lawn. PODS denied our damage claim anyway because, apparently, their driver simply said she didn't do it. So to recap: I wasn't even a PODS customer. Their driver went to the wrong house, drove through my lawn, damaged my property, and PODS decided the driver's denial mattered more than photographic evidence. Mistakes happen. Driving to the wrong house can be a mistake. Refusing to take responsibility for the damage you caused afterward is a choice. Absolutely shameful customer service--and again, I WASN'T EVEN THEIR CUSTOMER. read more

A car crashed into our den so before the restoration could do their work the den had to be empty. 6 months later all work is finished and it was returned today. They keep you posted on every step and both drivers were kind and answered all our questions. We would definitely use them again. Call them...you won't be sorry. Thanks again to Jacob! read more

I had stuff in storage with PODS for over 3 years. I had no trouble with this company in the beginning. They dropped off the POD and picked it up without incident. My things were also stored without any issues. Everything looked good when they brought the POD back to me. However, when they returned my POD, the driver drove the hydraulic lift over my culvert pipe next to my driveway and smashed it like a pancake. I don't think the driver did this on purpose, though he could have been more careful like the other 3 crews had been in the SAME LOCATION. The smashing of this pipe created a flood hazard in my front yard, and PODS has refused to fix it. I filed a claim with them, and they stated that any damage to my property caused by them was on me per some obscure wording in the agreement. I have a video caught on security camera of them driving over the pipe and getting stuck in the ditch, smashing the pipe (see attached photos). PODS offered me $100 as a token of goodwill and still refused to acknowledge they were at fault, citing that my infrastructure should be able to support their lift and POD....well, it can, which the other 3 crews proved in the SAME LOCATION. That doesn't give them carte blanche to destroy my property any way they see fit and then blame me for it. You should be aware that they will not repair any damage they do to your property when they drop off or pick up your POD. Furthermore, you should be aware that their social media person will reach out to you after you post a review, saying they'd like to help you solve your issue. They won't. They will reach right back out to the claims department and do nothing, citing the original language. The claims department will say they did their research...but the only research they did was see how they can weasel out of fixing the damaged property they caused per their agreement. They did not come to see the damage, nor did they contact me other than to say they wouldn't do anything. Don't be fooled by them. We were good customers of theirs for 3 years, but we no longer trust them. They don't care about the customers...they only care about their bottom line. read more

As far as storage of the household goods went, that was fine. The one star rating was due to tearing up my property with their big trucks. The drivers seemed to have little regard for private property. Thus, I would recommend a fixed storage unit over the use of these PODS. read more

scheduled a pods delivery , paid my deposit and waited. The pods driver was unable to back up the container and place in the yard so he just left and cancelled the reservation as undeliverable. WTF!!! WE had to find a truck to pack, find a storage locker to rent and find men to move our belongings all within 24 hours. Absolutely horrible experience with PODS. We reserved a box weeks before our move date, which they did drop off on time. They did NOT follow the drop off instructions and placed the box on the wrong side of our apartment complex. Nevertheless, the box was loaded and picked up on time. The biggest issue arose when our delivery date window, estimated at 1:15-4:15, came and was missed. When our delivery didn't show up I immediately contacted customer service; they advised me that the truck was running behind, but that it was out for our delivery next. 3 more hours passed and no delivery. Another call to customer service and they told us that we would be rescheduled for TWO DAYS later. We of course told them that was unacceptable. Meanwhile, we had movers paid for and lined up for the day after our originally scheduled delivery date. Customer service told us there was "nothing they could do because the facility was not answering the phone or responding to their attempts to get a status" and they would request an early am delivery the next day. They informed me that they could not guarantee an early am delivery because the local facility schedules their own deliveries, but early am reschedule requests were rarely declined. I asked them not to reschedule yet because I didn't want to risk the box not getting delivered late on the original day, since no one could get in contact with the driver or facility or manager, and no one knew where my box was. An hour before customer service closed, I called back and asked for a status update and they still had not heard back nor could they contact the facility. After many attempts to escalate our situation above customer service due to us now having to sleep on the floor, the best they could do was offer us fifty dollars off our bill. I expressed my frustration with PODS lack of communication and inability to not only resolve my complaint expeditiously, but to even guarantee that my box wasn't out on the side of the road somewhere and for only offering a pittance of $50 for my inconvenience. Being completely helpless, I was forced to concede to waiting until the next morning, anticipating an early am reschedule email ("because they're rarely declined"), only to find we had been rescheduled for later that evening. Paid-for movers were rescheduled again. Throughout the entire experience, the very obvious lack of concern for our situation from the local facility was compounded by their very poor understanding of customer service. My entire life was in this box, and we were ignored and ghosted. This isn't a broken computer or a hair in my food. Everything I own was in this box. I still have not received any contact from the local manager, nor has customer service followed up. When the box was finally delivered (in the afternoon), the drivers excuse was "someone called out sick" and that was the end of their explanation. I will make sure everyone I know is aware of the poor customer service PODS provides as a company and their complete and utter lack of urgency in solving problems. I will never be using PODS ever again, and I will do all I can to make sure as many people know not to as well. read more

We scheduled our pod to be delivered July 8th, SIX WEEKS ago. Called pods July 8th and they said the estimated time of delivery would be 12-1. It never showed up. Called back they said they never deliver on Sundays but would get it there the next day. 4 days later many many hours on hold and still no idea when our pod will be delivered. Supposed customer service reps promise to call us back but never do. This place is a mess. The bonus, they just keep charging our credit card!!!! read more

One of the smoothest move i have ever done! Easy delivery and pickup. Much less stress than driving a Uhaul across country.

PODS resolved our complaint very much to our satisfaction. Our driver was awesome (complaint was never about him). My only suggestion to PODS to prevent this issue in the future is to tell people at least 13ft clearance is required to deliver the POD due to the width of the wheel base of cart the POD comes on. read more

Reviewed on Google, but also reviewing here because there are so many similarities between our experience and others from years ago regarding the broken forklift (which apparently has not been fixed since 2017). We had no issues getting our PODS delivered and loaded at our old house but have had nothing but issues trying to get them redelivered. They were due earlier this week but the delivery was postponed 2 days because of an issue with the forklift. We were supposed to have it delivered yesterday morning and were told various things by PODS phone support -- that it was picked up, that it was on the way, that it would be there shortly, that they promised (their words, not mine) that it would be there by 4 pm. I was told that they had talked to the driver, that they had talked to the location, that no one answered at the location so they would fill out a form. There was an emergency with the driver, they were on their way to do one other dropoff before ours and then they would be there. Inconsistent the whole way. At 4 we had no POD and someone else called to say that not only were they not delivering, but they won't deliver for another 11 days (at least, as long as that pesky forklift doesn't break again). I don't know if PODS corporate is unwilling or unable to either support this location which obviously is short drivers and forklifts or if there are other issues involved, but I have had no communication whatsoever from the facility which actually is missing the deliveries and I find it very unprofessional and disappointing. They use a lot of empathetic words on the phone but ultimately fail to actually do anything to help the situation. My main concern is that we are a little farther out and this location just doesn't want to deliver here. If that's the case, PODS never should have let me book the service because currently they are holding everything we own at their facility and we have nothing we need to live for the next 2 weeks with our kids and dog. I've always recommended PODS to others but this experience has been absolutely nightmarish and I really don't think we'll be using them again unless this gets resolved much faster than what they are currently planning. read more

So I decided to go with PODS because I read great reviews about them but my experience with PODS  has not been and enjoyable one. My family and I  relocated from Cali to Virginia Beach about a week ago now and pods charged a few thousand dollars for that move and can't deliver my stuff on time they rescheduled my pod for the second time today till a week from now and both time they had forklift issues ( so you are telling me a company that makes money moving stuff don't have a backup forklift or don't want to spend the money to rent one). Now we are on the couch for another week till PODS decides they want to fix the forklift. read more

If you have a standard driveway gate don't order a POD. I ordered a 16'x8'x8' container to be delivered this morning; when the driver got to my home he said he couldn't get it in my yard. I was really surprised since I've had a roll off container (20'x8'x8') delivered to my mother's house that has the same size gate plus a telephone pole and ditches on both sides of a narrower road. Not to mention when I placed the order the customer service person googled my address and told me there wouldn't be a problem. read more

I must say I am very disappointed in this company. I had an incident with one of the trucks involving a sign falling off while I was driving on the interstate and the sign smashed into my windshield and the bolt on the sign cracked my windshield. The sign also hit my car so hard that is made my side mirror fold it and then fall off. I made a report with state police and called and made a report with Pods. I was called back by Connor who told me that they are not liable for this happening because of the weight of the signs he was not empathetic at all. He confirmed that his signs are held on by the bolts but tried to tell me that a flying sign with a bolt is not possible to cause a crack and again kept saying he is not liable. This is very dishonest. I called corporate only to find out he the owner. No wonder he doesn't want to make good on the damage his truck caused. It so sad he is not a decent and honest business owner. I would never recommend a company that can not be honest and decent. read more
