Still technically excellent and stylist still great. But very challenging behaviour by other staff right at the end of an appointment. They asked 7 times in total "are you okay" (5X) and "are you comfortable" (2X) over and over and over and over and over and over again, while I told them that I"m fine. There was nothing wrong with me, I didn't express discomfort, have no interest in comfort, made no complaint, didn't make inappropriate noises, didn't drool, didn't wear adult diapers, didn't use a walker etc. I confronted them as to why they kept over and over and over and over and over and over and over asking me this even though I'd reassured them many times. They said it was normal but there is no way they would have totally discounted the words of a man or a young/er woman, and there was not way they would have assumed there was something wrong with a man or a younger woman who had done nothing against them. Instead of apologizing, they used the classic trick saying they are sorry IF I was offended (ie// not apologizing for offending me but apologizing for my presumed feelings). I was actually not offended, I was hurt, embarrassed, and ashamed. I looked in the mirror to see if there was some terrible problem, and I hadn't suddenly developed Bell's palsy nor other deformity. Clearly this is what they assume about older women with disabilities. I may still work with my stylist but not the other person who kept insisting there was something wrong with ME! Nope there was something wrong with HER. read more
