This bank is full of some of the worst employees in the banking business!!! I called ahead to make a larger withdrawal and was told ok let me check and after 21 minutes on hold i was hung up on!!!!! I showed up to the bank and went to the window and was then told twice to be patient after two people next to me made there drive thru transactions and moved on!! I am closing my account with this bank due to the worst customer service I've ever had!!! How is it i cant withdraw my own money!!!!! There legit holding it hostage. I will be calling corporate and making a formal complaint on this!! The new assistant branch manager is amazing tho!! She is helpful and might be the only reason i keep my account with pnc! read more

I'm posting this review here on yelp w hopes of someone possibly directing me where else to take this complaint. After searching the internet for "pnc mortgage reviews"it appears as though there are tons of ppl in the same situation as my wife & I. I should've searched the net prior to dealing w/ them. In August we found a house in NJ that we wanted to buy. We made an offer which was accepted. Our real estate agent referred us to Wells Fargo for a mortgage, unfortunately the home appraisal from Wells came up about $30k short, our Wells rep said Wells is being overly conservative bc of all the nonsense occurring a few years ago, he said he can refer us to a former colleague @ PNC who should be able to wrap up the loan quickly. We spoke w Bianca Dalessio from PNC, we were able to get her most of the docs from Wells so we figured this would be 1-2-3 done. She assured us she can get us the appraisal we needed which she did, w were psyched, we were given a closing date of Nov.4th @ noon, we got our home insurance, put gas, elec. & water in our names and began packing. Nov 3rd 1:00 (less than 24hrs from closing) I get a call from bianca, apparently there were 2 problems causing us to have to cancel the next day's closing. #1 they never asked us to sign the contract #2 a large sum of $ that was given to us by my wife's father as a wedding gift (we were married 10/8) could not be used bc it wasn't in our acct 60 days. This is $ we needed to close. bianca tells us come to the office on saturday 11/5 so she can set us up w a equity line of credit to cover the $ from my wifes dad, we oblige and get approved. Now we are in a mad rush to close by 11/8 before the loan expires. On 11/7 they tell us the $ from father in law has to be viewed as a debt although it is cash $ sitting in acct. We also now have the debt from the equity loan, now our debt to income is too high, they can't give us the loan unless we come up w more $ & we need to pay and close all our credit cards. We temporarily borrow $ from my grandmother & have her sign a gift letter to offset the $ from father in law, we get 3 credit card statements together & prepare to pay and send all info to PNC. Now PNC wants my father in law's bank statements to see where the gift $, which they are not going to use & are considering a debt came from. Again we oblige, now they start questioning certain deposits he made. We got to the point where we told them "cancel the loan", we have near perfect credit, minimal debt & $ for a down payment, this whole ordeal w this bank went on over 6 weeks w no results. We are now dealing w bank #3, God willing it will all work out from here. A word on bianca, I compare her to a cute grandmother type, she's kind of whacky & emotional. She's always changing around information and is never capable of giving answers with the exception of, "these things happen".... If you are preparing to take a loan of any sort, search the net for reviews on the particular bank prior, i was surprised at the amount of horror stories I found. Beware, beware, beware read more

We've been customers of this branch for many years now. Although we rarely come into the actual branch anymore, when we do, the tellers are always very nice and my waits have not been long. I recently had to make a rare international wire transfer. Unfortunately, the first person to help me was not particularly familiar with the process and incorrect information was sent, causing the wire to be rejected. When I came in a second time to correct the problem, the branch manager herself got involved and processed it correctly right away, reversing the 2nd charge I would have had to pay. I truly appreciate the good customer service. Mistakes are bound to happen. What matters is how they are handled. read more

I was surprised to see the other bad reviews for PNC Mortgage. We received our home loan very quickly. There were never any problems at all. When we paid off our mortgage early, that went smoothly, too. After it was paid off, they sent us all of our paper work showing that the loan was paid. Our loan agent, Linda Scheid, was really on the ball. She was a very pleasant person. read more

I just received a letter stating that they were not able to grant us credit because we are out of their lending area. This, AFTER they pulled both my wife's and my credit!! Someone explain why it was necessary to pull credit, after they knew our address from the online application a week previous only to discover my address after pulling credit?? They suck and wasted a great deal of my time filling out the app, pulling credit(ding) and then nearly two weeks later tell us we are out of their lending area. Bad news. John read more

I received a call on Saturday. On regular basis a payment is drafted on 15th of every month, they called me on the 10th from collections saying that no payment is made. Its awful to receive a call from collections and to hear threatninng language especially when your payments are not even due. I say that this is a worse mortgage company to deal with. No Way to deal with them again. read more

My mortgage was bought out by PNC and EVERY aspect of dealing with them has been a complete nightmare.

Stay as far away from PNC as you can. PNC purchase our loan from our original mortgage company 6 weeks ago. They did not call us, email us, or send us any notifications. When they purchased our loan, the stopped our auto-payment, charged us a late fee, the dinged our credit. We were only notified after they were able to tack on the late fee. Daily calls to their office only go to phone bank minions. Requests to talk to a supervisor are forwarded on to voice mail, never to a person. Requests for call backs are also never returned. A call to our State Attorney Generals office was made, where they added me to the growing list of consumers who also have issues with PNC. I have been a 25 year home owner and have never had a missing or late payment. This company is why we have consumer protection laws. NEVER use them for your business. The Shylock down the street is more honest. read more
