My BMW K 12 Sport 2007 bike had a frame failure (at rest thank god) but it was almost a brand new…read morebike (bought as leftover in 2014) After leaving the bike sit in my brother's garage for a year I found a joint (LI Racing) not too far from my brother's place out in Long Island. They seemed to be really creative with fabrication, pretty much have every type of tool & tech to modify and fabricate for race bikes etc. I showed them the issue (after showing about 6 other fabricators who walked away from it) and they said they could tackle it. They went through about 1/2 dozen mock up ideations to figure it out, even thought it would end up having a hand activated side stand attached to the upper frame section, telescopic and such. But these guys are great, they literally figured out how to fabricate a chock of CNC aluminum (after many resin prototypes) that would put the kickstand and the shifter exactly where they originally were, but bolted (with all spec'd hardware) to the engine.... ! Bike is back, good if not better than new, they grinded and painted the frame break to clean up the overall design, works great. Followed the whole thing on instagram.
