Ali is truly amazing and a master at his craft of dealing with snowblowers and small engines. Cannot say enough good things about him, super friendly, very humble, and extremely knowledgeable, and his prices are very good for the work done. I reached out on behalf of my neighbor whose snow blower was not turning on and needed fixing ahead of this coming winter season. My own snowblower, while operational, was also overdue for a tune up. Called Big Smile Repair, left a message, Ali promptly returned my call, we coordinated a date/time, he came out to us with all his tools, allowed us to watch and explained everything he was doing, as he was doing it, in detail, he literally gave us a crash course on snowblower repair. He welcomed and answered all our questions, and as he promised, brought back to life my neighbors snowblower. Then performed the tune up on my snowblower. After his work was completed, he tested all features on both machines, he also gave us valuable tips and tricks on how to keep our machines running smoothly/worry free in the future. A real stand up guy and very happy our paths crossed. Both my neighbor and I were completely satisfied with his work, his fees, and time it took to complete the work, also the fact that he comes out to you instead of transporting heavy machinery to a store location. He is highly recommended to anyone looking for snowblower, lawnmower or any small engine machine repair. The guy is top notch. Keep up the great work. read more

Bigsmile Repairs relieved me the anxiety of not being prepared for another winter storm. I purchased my ARIENS 28" Self Propelled Snowblower in the fall of 2022, spent a couple of thousand dollars for it. A dusting of snow fell that winter, as it did in 2023 and in 2024, I used it to push 3" of snow which fell that entire winter! I was super disappointed. During spring of 2025, two personal attempts at fixing the ARIENS myself proved arduous, frustrating and they failed badly. Based on the previous three winter's meager snow accumulations I figured, "why bother"... Winter of 2025 dumped over 3' of snow on NYC., not to mention the over 4' snowdrifts in my backyard and, my snowblower wouldn't start! Here I am (late summer 2026) now wondering should I roll the dice and hope for minimal snowfall this winter or try to fix the the snowblower! Again! Nope and nope! Ali was courteous, knowledgable, organized and professional as he quickly diagnosed and fixed and fine tuned the ARIENS, what's more, in under an hour (took me an hour just to get the cover to the motor off). THE BEST PART IS I DIDN"T HAVE TO DRAG MY ARIENS TO A SHOP! BIGSMILE REPAIRS Y'ALL. That's what they will do! read more

I called Bigsmile Repairs because our snowblower wasn't starting and after this snowfall it was vital for the community and elder neighbors to access their cars and sidewalks safely. I spoke Mustapha over the phone and he had such a positive can do attitude which was so genuine and much appreciated. We were lucky he was able to make the time and come out onsite the same day. He evaluated the machine identified the problem in a few minutes. He took the necessary pieces apart, drained the gasoline cleaned the parts and it was up and running in no time. He also educated a group of us on how to maintain the snowblower so we can have it perform for many years to come. We shared with Mustapha that the organization is a not for profit and he was so kind and gave us a discount. That really spoke to his character. I would highly recommend Bigsmile Repairs and Mustapha as he is a true matter expert on engines for snowblowers and such. We are keeping his number will be sharing it with all our neighbors and businesses in the community! Thank you Bigsmile Repairs!! Thank you Mustapha!!!! read more

Ali is knowledgeable about repair that was needed for my snow blower. He asked questions before he arrived about the machinery - how old, what was the issue, last time it was used, how often was the gas or oil changed. He was on time. He had the tools needed to complete the job - cleaning the carburetor and other parts, draining old gas and oil and doing an overall service check. Then he checked that the machinery was up and running. Good value for a job well done. Friendly and professional. Satisfied and would request service with him again as well as recommend him to others. read more

Huge props to Ali! After the snowstorm our snowblower died and Ali was able to squeeze us in and get it fixed even with an extra trip to Grainger for a belt. He was knowledgeable about what he was doing and even offered to show me how to fix it myself. I left it to him, but I was very impressed by his professionalism and friendly demeanor. His prices are fair and he got the job done in one afternoon. 10 stars if possible. read more

Excellent service. Mustapha came and diagnosed the problem in under 2 minutes. In 30 minutes the unit was dismantled and repaired. would have been done faster if it wasn't 0 degrees outside. He got the unit running like it was brand new and was much cheaper than what I expected to pay. Definitely recommend him to evertone. Especially people that can't get their heavy machines to a shop. At home service is the best. read more
