I would strongly advise not to do business with this company. They are very quick to fine their residents and what makes it worse they lie and distort the facts. We have caught them in numerous lies. Good luck trying to get anyone on the phone. Bailee, Becca and Sandy have done nothing but harass our family since we bought our property over 4 years ago. We had tenants living in our house for the first 2 years and the roof started to leak while our tenants were living there in the first year. We tried to contact them all but they barely responded with emails or call backs. As the roof leak became progressively worse we pleaded with them to expedite the process due to the leak getting extremely worse. They told us it was a 6 week process for the Board to approve this. The roofing company could not believe they were slow walking this process. The roof needed to be replaced immediately as it then turned into an emergency. The roofing company said they never saw anything like this before and told us that they needed to drop off the supplies and get this fixed quickly before we have a roof collapse as our tenants were living with buckets of water. I told the roofing company to proceed immediately to protect our investment. The next day the roofing company dropped off the supplies in our driveway. The following day we got numerous calls and emails from the association that we were going to get fined for starting this replacement without approval from the Board. So we proceeded to call the insurance company and they told us to proceed with fixing the roof immediately. They also told us to contact the association and let them know they would be responsible for any damages that occur from this point on. The next day we got phones calls from Bailee and Becca stating the association has approved the roof replacement. Through out the whole process nobody would return our calls but once they found out the insurance company would hold them liable everything got resolved within 24 hours. They have also fined us for a number of trees that were previously approved. They lie and distort the facts to appease the Board. I'm not sure if they get kick backs on these fines but at this point I wouldn't be surprised. Our team of lawyers will ultimately find out if so. There is a reason why their reviews are so negative and carry a 1.4 rating. I'm in the process of filing a harassment lawsuit against this company for numerous violations of our rights.

When we went to the final walk on closing day (3/30/2021) only 5 of the items on the list had been completed and there was 3 new items of damage that happened after the pre-closing walk that had not been corrected. They stated because of all the rain they hadn't been able to correct a lot of the items. It only rained for 5 days out of the past 20 days we live just a mile from the new house. The Almont representative had several items checked off on his list that were not completed so I refused to sign the Pre-closing check list. Now they want us to move in and work around painters inside and out and a crew that's installing a Radon Mitigation System due to the excess Radon coming into the house.

The rain water was forcing our retaining wall to begin to collapse and ruining the turf/grass down the hill. I put in a request for a quote and got a response within 24 hours to set up a day/time to have someone come look at the project. Joe came out a few days later and walked the area of concern with me. While he was here, I had him quote another area in the backyard that we were thinking about getting some help with. Joe's suggestion was to cut down a tree overlooking our backyard fence and several limbs on surrounding trees to help get the problem area out of the shade. He also suggested a different type of grass that thrived more in the shade to give it the best chance for survival. We ended up using their services for this area as well. They removed several large rocks that were just peaking through the surface and/or clumped in our backyard, adding fertilizer and sod to the areas and handling the shade/trees. A few weeks later, the project was completed. Donald was the lead on the actual project and was extremely helpful/friendly and efficient. Did two retaining walls, patio with stone on top, cement walkway from front driveway to back patio, stone fire pit area, Alabama Path stone walkway along lakeside hedge. Flagstone fishing pad in one corner and stone stairs into water in the other corner. Ornamental trees, many shrubs and zoysia lawn. Entire yard irrigation with app control. Drainage solutions including downspouts and surface water. Amazing lighting design with app control. Knew we would run into challenges given the slope of the property as complexity of our requirements. All were met with great solutions and fair pricing (both debits and credits). Crew are real artists. On the last day, crew power washed surfaces, re-mulched areas that were disturbed during final adjustments, did walk through with me, and left things perfect. Robin came by afterward to make sure that I was satisfied with the work done and explained that they would come back and make adjustment if I wanted them. You cannot go wrong with Whitwell.
