Uyen added extensions and created a gorgeous bronde color. Over the years we've tried different looks, from very blonde to closer to my natural dark blonde, and I loved it every time! What impressed me the most is how healthy my hair stayed the entire time. After wearing extensions for over two years, I took them out for a while and my natural hair actually looked about 30% thicker than before (The thickest it has ever been). I just got a new set of extensions again and absolutely love them. I went from short hair to almost waist length, and this time we did wavy extensions to match my natural texture. It came out beautifully - the color matches perfectly and it looks very natural, even when I let my hair air dry without styling. Uyen is incredibly attentive and works very meticulously. She really listens and takes the time to make everything blend perfectly. I completely trust her with my hair and highly recommend her, especially if you have fine hair and are considering extensions.

I have known her for over ten years and because I couldn't get back to her ASAP she canceled all my future appointments with no phone call but through text which is extremely disrespectful. Also I referred several people and she charged me $150 more than the people I referred. I always tip 20%. I'm so glad this happened because when she was told not to worry about it I found someone to fix my hair. She asked if I wanted to come in on Tuesday when she's known for 12 years I work 12 hour days. I had no expectations of her coming in but she offered to take then out but would not put them back in. That would've been a nightmare. This has happened a couple times now. She over charges and her work has gone so down hill. I just didn't want to deal with my work and finding someone new. I should've left when she just out of no where started upping her prices only on me. I work extremely hard and she upped her prices and lowered her standards knowing I'd pay it. Don't come here!

She provides recommendations so you don't kill your hair and is honest about repercussions if you want to do something harmful to your hair. But gives you space to know it's still, your choice at the end of the day. This is why I did invisible bead extensions! I've colored my hair for years and it's become damaged & thin, but i love long & blonde hair so much. So, getting extensions was the best step forward. She handsewn extensions into my hair, the extensions were tight only for the first day, but now I forget I have them unless I touch my head. She did a great job and They, the extensions, are amazing !!

All I could think when she said that was did I really just spent $600 on something that might start to grow out in only two weeks??? also there's not much of a difference between before and after my hair, every time I told her I wanted something done specifically she told me she was used to doing a different way and that's how she's gonna do it so I felt like I wasn't really heard as well. Besides all that the lady that did my hair was really nice. But- Super super disappointed. Now I'm gonna have to go somewhere else and pay extra money to get it fixed the way I wanted to. More reviews like mine would have saved me my money for sure, which is why I'm writing this. Do not recommend with my personal experience. I was ever so depressed when Shaun, my hairstylist of 8 years, decided to have a baby and sell her salon. What was she thinking? lol. In retrospect, I'm happy it happened not only because kids are great, but because I was pointed in a new direction, PLUSH salon. I didn't think anyone could come close to Shaun's ease, knowledge and professionalism but was happily surprised when I went to Donn, co-owner of PLUSH for the first time. I knew him through a friend that I trusted, so when he was referred to me I thought, 'okay, i'll give this a shot'. I'm SO glad that I did! Five years later I am still extremely happy with my decision. The salon itself has a really nice curb appeal, and once I walked in to the space, I felt relaxed almost instantaneously. Beautiful art hugs the interior and different displays are available to view every time I come in. The music bumps, mirrors gleam and I am able to sit and catch up on magazines, conversation and a glass of wine while being pampered. Donn is fun to talk to and truly listens to me. It's like a therapist and hair appt in one, only my hair never looks that good after a therapist appointment! I get stopped often and am asked where I get my hair done. It's no wonder; Donn weaves the caramels, blondes and auburn colors in with my somewhat ashy brown hair to give a brightness that I love- and apparently others do as well. He is a color genius! The cut is always right on; he listens to what I would like and delivers 100% of the time. He takes the extra time to style it the way my husband loves it so not only am I happy, he is extra happy when I get home. I moved here a while back from the East coast and was in search of someone to do my ever growing roots when I was referred to Michael Gilliatt at Plush Salon by my friend and her roommate that both go to her. (I should add here that Michael is a girl, not a boy). I'm so glad I made the appointment! Michael was really friendly and outgoing. The salon used to be a duplex and has a very cozy feeling and a cool vibe. I felt like she really listened to me about what I did and didn't like about my current color and cut. I wanted to be more blond, but still have it look natural. Michael suggested that my color be done a completely different way than it had been in the past. I was a little nervous, but I knew that I liked how both my friends' hair looked, so I told her to go ahead. The color was perfect and was exactly what I had always wanted. She also really listened to my concerns in regards to my cut. I've been butchered in the past, but she gave it shape while taking off only what was needed so I could keep my length. In addition, she spent extra time showing how to make my coarse, frizzy hair really smooth and shiny and showed me a few quick hairdo's since I complained that I was bored with putting my hair in a ponytail all the time. Styling products have always been a mystery to me, but Michael explained the items she was using and how they worked. I left feeling very glamorous and pampered. Michael Gilliatt was referred to me by a friend almost 2 years ago. I was in desperate need of an extreme make-over after having two babies within 2 years (my kids are 17 months apart). I came in as an awful frump and came out of the salon like a new woman...and all I had was a haircut and style. My hair was long, straight and pulled back. I hadn't been to a hair salon in over 2 years, so you can imagine. I gave Michael full control; all I said was make me beautiful. I was so emotionally thankful and was shocked how well Michael transformed me into not just a beautiful woman...but a hot Mom! Dominic Santiago is awesome. He was very concerned with doing the least amount of damage to my hair as possible. I came in wanting all over color with subtle highlights. Because I already had a lot of highlights in, he wanted to put all over color first without re-highlighting to see if that'd give me the look I wanted with minimal damage. He said I could get the highlights done later at no extra charge if I was looking for more dimension. I appreciated this option and the fact that he cared enough about the health of my hair to bring this up. I did still get highlights a week later since I was looking for a lighter look, which he did at no extra charge as promised. Corey is Great! I recently decided to try to do something different with my hair. I have been going to the same person for about 3 years and I was a little uneasy letting someone else do my hair. First, It was very easy to get an appointment with Corey and he put me at ease right away. We talked about some of my ideas and came up with a game plan to change my style gradually not to make me look completely different in one day. I had him put some highlights and he cut my hair. He changed my very subtly changed my style and it looks amazing. I traveled to Ohio to see old friends and they complimented me on my haircut and they didn't even know I had colored it. "This is the best haircut I've ever had!" Those were my exact words following my first visit to Nina at Plush Salon. Nina isn't just a cosmetologist. She's an artist. No one else is allowed to touch my hair! The salon is gorgeous. It's located in the historic Banker's Hill neighborhood in a building with 12 foot ceilings and beautiful crown mouldings. I don't know how he does it, but the volume is endless, and the blowout keeps whatever shape he rolls into it with that big round brush. As much as I miss my old hairdresser, she was a rad chick, at least I have found someone who makes me look and feel incredible. Plus, Max is a super cool guy, really funny and nice. You've got to have chemistry with someone that you're going to be sitting with for multiple hours every month or so. I really never thought I would find that again! I have wavy 2B hair and usually it's hard to get a layered hair cut that looks good straightened and natural but she crushed it! She has quickly become my go to hair stylists! I have since moved out of San Diego to Dallas, but will still definitely only be letting Annie cut my hair. She is the absolute best and would recommend booking with her as soon as you can!

i'm actually very sad writing this review because i was genuinely so excited for this appointment,…read morebut i can't believe how terrible the service and communication of this salon is. i had made an appointment in advance, and less than 24hrs before my scheduled time i received a text asking to move my appointment to an hour and a half later. i thought id be able to make it but didnt hear back. i then got a confirmation at 6:45am the morning of. i responded and said that i couldn't make the new time slot. no response. i then called right when they opened and explained my situation - my babysitter wasn't able to change her schedule in such short notice. the girl on the phone says "no problem" and asks if i want to reschedule. i said yes but that i would have to call back with a date. she's says 'ok' and cancels my appointment. what she failed to mention was that she was going to charge my card $220. now, i'm no stranger to a cancellation fee, however, i was unable to make it due to THEIR time change. also, if clients are expected to give 48 hours notice, shouldn't you be required to give the same notice? so i wasn't given the same courtesy AND you're going to charge me for it? and how the came up with $220 is a mystery because they've never even seen my hair, what color it is, how long it is etc...but anyways i call again and speak to the same girl. she tells me that it's up to the stylist and the manager to determine if i can get a refund or put it towards my next service - not only do i not know when that would be, but why would i ever want to go back there after this? i hear back from the same girl and, big surprise, they don't want to give me the refund. she asked if i wanted to speak to a manager and i said yes. oh well, "she's working at the salon so it won't be till like later." so i've been naively been sitting for hours waiting for this manager to call me. the salon closes at 8pm and here i am still waiting on that call. from what i can see, this place has pulled this type of service with others as well. i.e. cancelling someone's appointment 30 minutes before because their hair wasnt long enough...? or charging someone $100+ for a trim, or adding extra charges without being transparent. overall i'm just so disappointed because i was really looking forward to this. it was my first "treat" postpartum and now im out $200 for literally nothing.

Veda replied and she was responsive and patient with my questions. After my questions were answered I called to make the appointment since it was my first time there. I spoke with the young lady over the phone and there was actually a rebooking for Kristina so I was able to get in that day. I thought I was making an appointment for the Banker's Hill location since I live there but it turned out it was for the South Park location. It wasn't the biggest deal but I wanted the Banker's Hill location so I could walk. The South Park location was super cute and everybody seemed very friendly, professional and polished. Anywaythis is , it all turned out great because Kristina was fabulous. She was professional yet very personable. We chatted easily and she listened to what I wanted but I also leaned on her expertise. I left very happy with my cut, color and highlights. I would absolutely recommend her.

I was hesitant to pay the fee for a level 5 stylist as most of my haircuts are always pretty awful (have super thick course hair I feel hardly anyone knows how to handle)... but as everyone says "you get what you pay for". Brittany did the most amazing job! Felt like she really listened to what my expectations were and delivered (finally!), with the most amazing scalp massage too. The products were amazing as well. Might be my go to salon and worth the drive from Orange County.

He's amazing and he's the only one that can control my full thick hair in San Diego. He's super talented and his customer service is 10/10. The only issue with this Salon, is the location. It's not in the best area and lately every time I've gone, there's a group of guys always smoking cannabis, drinking out front and fighting. I understand Cannabis is legal in California but as a girl and having to walk past a group of 4-5 guys who are high/drunk just to get my hair done doesn't necessarily make me feel safe. The last time I got my hair done, it took over 8 hours since Alan is actually allergic to cannabis and had to take multiple breaks. He mentioned that the walls are pretty thin and the canabis smell/ smoke can come through pretty easily and affect his work. Which I could actually smell every time I go inside. I truly feel so sad for Alan and Beautiful You Sis Salon as their business is being affected. This wasn't an issue before and like I've said, I've been coming here since early this year. I hope they can get this figured out before they start losing customers as most of us are women. I have an appointment coming up and will update my post in case I see a change.
