I did not realize the "service fee" is just for them to come to your house. Once there I was told it would be another $400+ to install the unit (Home Depot does installation for $225). Once they installed the new unit, I was told they needed another part to connect the dishwasher which would be another $100+ dollar charge and that they did not have that part in the van and would have to go get it. Update* Santhoff sent someone out and covered the cost of the repair to our cabinet.

I read many of the Yelp reviews and found almost all of them to highly recommend Luis as he had done lots of this type of work. First let me say that I was extremely impressed with Luis' professionalism, responsiveness and value for the work being done. No matter how many times I texted him with questions, he quickly responded. Once he came out, we were very happy with his excellent installation and he explained everything to us about how to properly use the generator inlet once the job was completed. Luis installed a generator inlet, an additional electrical sub panel, home surge protector and a soft start system on our air conditioner compressor. He did an excellent job and everything took him about 4-5 hours, which was amazing. So if you're in need of a licensed electrician, I highly recommend Luis and 3 Guys Electric for your electrical needs. Not only is his work commendable, his price was extremely fair and definitely worth the job performed.

Update: More problems from the initial setup…read more After being gone for a work trip, I came home to a flooded attic where the AC unit sat. Given the fact I still havent heard from the owner Henry of TAR from my previous issue with the main AC board, I called another repair company (Environmental Air Systems). This was the same company that came and out fixed the previous issue where my thermostats were not communicating with the unit. The reason was because the board was fried due to poor installation from TAR. Back to the most recent issue, appears there is a clog in the drain pipe near a bathroom sink. So how did the unit keep running (and flooding) vs shutoff and/or go into the backup drain pan? Well that's because TAR never installed the wiring of the SafeT shut off piece (see pic). It was placed on the pipe but upon a close inspection, I lifted the piece only to find the wires wrapped as if they went into the unit but sadly never were installed. The level of professionalism with their initial service keeps getting worse. And worst, I'm sure I'll never hear from Henry or TAR.

Analyzed the extent of the problem and gave me an estimate for repair on the spot. I have AHS home warranty and was told the replacement of the turnoff water valve to the house was covered and dispatched a service rep. When that company arrived the rep said it was not coved under the warranty because it was outside the foundation and the repair cost estimate ranged from x dollars to unknown. Quality Plumbing Solutions came in at their estimate and did a great job. This is a company that I will use for all my plumbing needs. Brad did my repair and the other partner Richard has over 20 years experience.

Reason for the low rating was that I was charged $471 for a quick 30 minute repair that after calling around should have been $150-170 to repair. The plumber also used a nickel as a shim to balance the toilet when there are proper plumbing shims that should have been applied. The plumber said he couldn't fix the faucet because he'd have to shut off the water and search around for the correct the gasket from the manufacturer. We then had to call a second plumber out who fixed the faucet with a simple hose gasket in about 5 minutes. The plumber also told us we were ripped off for the toilet repair. I felt the plumber took advantage of us by charging 2-3 times than what was fair and should have at least attempted to fix the faucet since it was an easy job. In total, we ended up paying more than $600 for what should have been $150-170 job.

Henry's also fielded many numerous questions over many calls. They installed our Ecobee thermostats. They followed up for a year on maintenance calls. When we had a problem with one of the thermostats they immediately came out and solved it. They have continued to maintain the units since that time. Whenever a technician(s) comes out they immediately go to work and do not, except for the installation which was all day, and continue until finished.
