Another toilet was running every few hours, probably because a seal in the flap wasn't working. My appointment was between 1:00-3:00 and I did get a call because the guy was running late. Found out he was also coming from LA and it was pouring rain really hard, so I couldn't fault him for that. Bo was respectful and removed his shoes when coming in. I showed him both toilets and (the reason for one less star) was his immediate diagnosis was to replace my old toilet, at $300 just for the unit, without labor. Hey I'm asking to have a slow leak replaced, plus my toilet isn't dumping water in my bathroom. It's a slow drip. After saying no to 2 new toilets, Bo said the leaky toilet has a loose connection and the other running one could have the flap replaced. The whole thing took about 20 minutes to fix and I was charged $225, and I wrote a check and tipped him also. (Note: always write a check- never use cash- so you have a paper trail). Was it priced high? Maybe. But if he fixed the issue then it was worth it. Hopefully no update on this issue will be needed. Also no receipt for this issue was received. Update It's been 24 hours and my running toilet has stopped running, and my leaky toilet stopped leaking. So I am glad that Lots fixed it. I also received an invoice via email with a quick summary of what was fixed.

They used a trenchless Perma-Liner system to reline our pipe, so they didn't have to tear up our yard. It basically creates a new pipe inside the old one which is pretty cool and is supposed to last forever. They even carefully dug up a hedge and replaced it when they were finished and it looks like it's going to survive. They also installed a new cleanout and fixed a pipe offset that was causing problems. All of this only took about a half day and everything seems to be working perfectly. The crew was friendly, showed up on time, and were easy to work with the whole way through. We would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Following a camera inspection and receipt of a competitive estimate from Bert, I hired First Option Plumbing to remove cast iron drainage pipes concealed in the walls of my home. In the absence of any complications, the job was expected to last around three days. QUALITY. On the day of the re-piping job, Bert and his team of plumbers arrived on time and wearing professional uniforms. After placing protective booties over their shoes, they immediately placed multiple protective coverings on all floor surfaces and taped large plastic tarps along the ceilings and walls to minimize dust and debris. Then they removed the cast iron drainage pipes from several bathroom areas, laundry area, work sink and kitchen. After each cast iron pipe was removed, a brand new ABS drainage pipe was installed in its place. When they were done with the work, they cleaned-up each worksite and didn't leave any of the old cast iron pipes or debris behind.
