I knew what the core problem was and that the drain was physically blocked some distance from the sink itself, and I realized that I couldn't fix it myself. So after checking Yelp and finding the stellar reviews I just called Victor at 11.04 in the morning, and he picked up himself :). We chatted and he asked me to text our exact address (which I did) and he texted back that he had a couple of jobs near us but that he thought he could be with by 7pm. It got to about 8.30pm so I texted and he called back and said he could be with us in 15 minutes if it wasn't too late or he would come first thing in the morning. I said please come now and he did. It was Victor himself, a real gentleman who REALLY knows his stuff! 45 minutes later the sink was flowing again like magic. He cleaned everything up and took care to wear shoe covers and gloves. It was also awesome to chit chat with him about Beverly Hills and the celebs all around us over the years - including a BIG name that used to live in our building in the 70's (news to him). Matthew responded quickly to schedule an complimentary appointment with one of their plumber the next day. Joe was the person who came and he arrived on time. He first told me I could just do it myself and showed me what I had to do. I told him I needed a license plumber to do it per the home insurance requirements even though it's just replacing the bad unit with a newer one. He give me the price they charge and also other stuff I needed to do so everything continues to work properly. I appreciate his expert advice and time on coming out to give me an estimate. I thought the price just to switch out the bad unit with a new one was on the higher end so I decided to use another company.

They replaced three conventional toilets with new Toto models, each with washlet seats and auto-flush systems. I was nervous about hiring someone to install them since they're fairly complex with a lot of parts and electrical connections, but for Jose and Alberto it was clearly no big deal. Everything works perfectly. On top of that, they replaced the shower valves and trim in two bathrooms with Grohe push button fixtures and a new handshower all by working from the wall behind, with zero damage to the tile. That alone deserves serious credit. They also installed a new rainfall showerhead exactly as requested. They installed a water filtration system in the kitchen, replaced the kitchen faucet, and swapped out the garbage disposal. Every single job was done cleanly, efficiently, and with real attention to detail. Jose is great at communicating throughout the process. He is always responsive, clear, and professional. His and Alberto's workmanship are top-notch. These guys can do anything, and their pricing is very fair for the level of quality they deliver. Hire them, and when you do, you'll see why they're called Real Plumbers.

    Our building had a plumbing emergency yesterday with the rain, and Luis showed up at less than 45…read moreminutes later. We have subterranean garages, and it was clear that the pump had failed, as we had a giant pool of water within 2 hours of rain that was quickly encroaching the garages. Luis showed up, checked the electrical system and determined it was working. He noticed that the pump was bubbling, and suggested that it might have become disconnected from the drain pipe. He gave us a quote, and offered to temporarily pump out the water to avoid damage to the garages. However, when we mentioned the pump was new, he was honest and suggested that it was likely under warranty and that the company that installed it should manage the issue. He waited for a few minutes while I called the previous company, who sent a technician later in the day and found that Luis's assessment (disconnected pump) was correct. In the future, we will be switching to Fords Plumbing. They were quick, through, and honest.

Instead of arriving at a…read morereasonable time within that window, the technician showed up literally three minutes before the window ended. By that point, I had been stuck at home all day waiting. What made this even more frustrating is that I had to call them to inquire about the status, which I don't believe I should have had to do. I contacted the company the day before, and they offered me this service window. Basic communication or a proactive update should not require the customer to chase the company down. Despite all of this, I was still charged $196, as if my time and inconvenience had no value. To add to that, I was asked for my email address so a receipt could be sent to me -- and I still have not received it. That lack of follow-through only adds to the frustration. I don't like being at the mercy of service providers, and situations like this make it feel intentional. Customers are given wide windows, forced to wait around, and then expected to accept last-minute arrivals with no accountability. In my opinion, companies know people don't really have a choice in these situations, and that imbalance shows in how little respect is given to the customer's time. The work itself was fine, but the experience matters. If you're going to charge premium prices, there needs to be accountability, communication, and follow-through -- not silence, delays, and customers left waiting all day.
