Recently, the water heater failed and I asked him how I should go about the warranty repair. He said I just need to call the manufacturer and they will take care of the replacement. He also offered to come take a look to see if it's something minor that maybe he can just tighten or fix. However, it was in fact an internal leak. During our remodelation we found that some pipes ( water and gas) beind the fireplace were rusted and needed to be fixed ASAP. I found Bob here in yelp and based on the reviews I dediced to give him a call. He came the next morning and did an EXCELLENT job. He not only did a great job replacing both pipes but also took extra measures so that the problem didnt happen agan, he also checked that the other pipes weren't at risk too. Plumber Bob is honestly the BEST hands down. I texted him about needing new valves for my mom's washing machine, and he contacted me back VERY promptly and said he could do the job the next day. He was a NO-SHOW. Said he would be there at 1pm. Texted me at 1:30 to say he was "on way". I texted back "ok" then he never showed. Two hours later I texted him "Lost?" and he texted back, "I did not hear from you for 35 minutes so went to another appointment". He didn't CALL, just assumed I wasn't there because he didn't see my return text. Then he texted that he couldn't come later that same day, nor was he available the next day even though I texted, "Hey wait, I ripped apart my kitchen because you were coming, and now I have no kitchen sink and a house full of out-of-town guests, I really need this done TODAY." "Sorry...what can I do for you." was his reply. Uhhh...how about the plumbing work I needed done and scheduled my day around? Look, I get it, he's busy. Great for him. I had plumber bob do a repair a few years ago and we gave him a 5 star review. This time we had a Leakey irrigation line. Called bob to fix it and he did. But to my surprise he charged us 1700.00 and he was here 2 hours. I felt taken advantage of. When I brought it up to him he replied that maybe he over charged us a 100.00 and he would send a check. The biggest problem wasn't him never sending the check but the job he did leaked worst than the original problem. It took him more than a week to return. He had us waiting for him almost ever day and never show up after he made appointments. He did Finally return to fix it. He did mention the new part was faulty. Yelp came through for us again. When we had a broken overflow pipe, we just decided to change the tub and give our bathroom a new look. We found Bob on Yelp and he is (as the other reviewers had noted) a quality, affordable and honest plumber. We ran into a problem with our tub installation. What remodel project doesnt have these? Bob found a broken kitchen drain line beneath where the tub was going to be. He spent an extra half day repairing the drain line. He even brought in extra help but in the end, it only cost a little extra money above his original quote. He worked efficiently but really put a lot of effort in making sure our tub was placed carefully. We're very happy we found him on Yelp. read more

I had to deal with an overflowing toilet on a Saturday, and fortunately for me, Bob answered when I called. He asked basic questions about the situation: was the water coming from the toilet bowl or the back of the toilet, what sort of plunger do you have, etc. Turns out I had the wrong plunger, so he recommended getting a different one and using a simple technique to (hopefully) clear the clog. I called Bob to replace two toilets and a kitchen and bath faucet. His quote was reasonable and with the high scores on Yelp I decided to hire him. He arrived on time and was very pleasent. However, things immediately started to go sour. I was painting the main bath and wanted to get the wall painted behind the toilet while it was out. Bob was very accomodating. However, once he was done pulling the toilet out I had gone into the bathroom and noticed he had taken the shop vac filter out and tossed it in my tub. There was dirt all over the tub and I can only image the dust that was being spread all over my bathroom because the filter had been removed. The next toilet seemed to be an issue. Bob found it leaking and replaced a part even though he noticed there was a defect. He didn't tell me he was going to charge me $35 for this part and it didn't fix the issue anyway. Instead of just stopping when he first noticed the leak he continued with the install of the toilet, he even caulked around it. Since replacing the part didn't fix the issue he had to now remove the toilet and I had to get a replacement. I spoke to Kohler and they agreed to pay for the hour of labor Bob charged me to replaced the defective toilet. But it's been over a month and I am still waiting for a invoice that listes each item out seperately so I can submit it with my claim. Kohler won't pay for the $35 part he charged me. I'm surprised by my experience but thought it was important to post on Yelp since this is where I found Bob. At $80 an hour I didn't expect my bathroom to be a dusty mess or to get the run around on getting a simple invoice mailed out. Nothing is leaking and he was curtious while here; that is why I gave him 2 stars. However, the toilets needed a little adjusting to flush properly and I had to call Kohler and get a quick education on plumbing so the toilets functioning properly. read more

I texted Bob yesterday evening because my fiancé had a leak in his front yard and had hired a company called Home Leak and Drain Solutions to detect and possibly correct the problem. They came in Saturday evening and told us the repair of the service line (copper pipe) would cost us 1875 and would take 4-6 hours of time. I told my fiancé that the price tag seemed high and that we should text my plumber and at least ask him if the price was fair. We didn't originally called Bob because I believed Bob did not service the area my fiancé lives in. He quickly replied to my text message and told me that the estimate given to me was very high and that he would do the job for significantly less. He came this morning on father's day as he was already pretty much booked all week. It took him about 5 minutes to find the leak, which was in a different spot that the leak company thought. Within 20 minutes he had already dug the ground and found the leak area. Total time at job was about 1:30-2 hours, and the price tag was less than half of the estimate done by the other company. Bob is great. I originally wanted to put two regulators on my house because someone recommended it since we have really high pressure in the neighborhood and all of my faucets leak. Two other companies I called were going to come do it, no problem. However, when I talked to Bob, he set me straight. Apparently two regulators makes no sense.
