I confronted LP about how the copper pipes were mounted on the exterior of the home as they did the job. They had copper pipes running down the white exterior wall of a home in a beautiful Palm Beach Gardens community. Subpar work anywhere in modern times! LP said it wasn't possible to mount on the interior and refused to mount on the interior. I was then assured that this was okay and would not be an issue with the HOA. I explained that it would be an issue for me if the HOA or Code was violated. I was assured it would not be a problem! End result... their work resulted in an HOA violation and costing more out-of-pocket expenses to correct! Modern plumbing is not normally run down the exterior of a home! Grant said he would correct the plumbing with more money and at a discount ($395), which he stated was "at cost". Grant said he cannot be expected to be held accountable for HOA rules. It should be noted that Grant was yelling at me when I called him out on the deception. I questioned his yelling when he finally allowed me to speak and Grant blamed his loud voice on his diesel truck. Ok. lol. It appears that running pipes down the exterior like the 60's is easier and more lucrative . Why would you hire this company??? Buyer beware!!! In my opinion, based on education and experience, Grant wanted to make more money by cutting corners by being misleading and deceptive. We were 100% willing to have the job done right the first time. Grant complained that he would have to charge more. It's sad that some contractors are deceptive and lack transparency. I know that pointing out issues is kind of like upselling, but it actually didn't come across as upselling because there wasn't any pressure to do the work. And that information you get is pretty helpful. The only downside to working with them is the price. They are by far the most expensive plumber I've worked with in the area. I kid you not, one time I got an estimate from them and as I reviewed their email in the middle of a Zoom call, I literally said out loud "holy fucking shit bro" not realizing my mic was on, which was a bit embarrassing. That said, I later agreed to the proposal because nobody else was available as fast. So yeah their availability and their quick response time is definitely important to me. I don't always use Mike's, sometimes they get undercut on price by a company that can come out quickly. But I know that when I do hire them, I will be in good hands, though with a lighter wallet. I'll start with the one I chose for those who don't care to read the entire review. Eric, the owner of WHE called me promptly and asked me to text him images of my current water heater installation. After answering 2 follow up questions he gave me an all-inclusive quote, which was the best of the quotes I received. This all inside 30 minutes. We promptly scheduled, and Eric an Daniel arrived on-time. Even though the installation was more difficult than expected because the water heater drain was completely clogged with sediment, he stuck to the quote. In 2:15 hrs they were done, they hauled the old unit away and everything worked perfectly. They left the area clean and the performance of Water Heating Experts exceeded my expectations. Now the other companies. One did not return my weekday query for six hours. One took all info and pics, said they had everything and I had to call them back at 2 pm the next day as I had heard nothing. One arrived 2 1/2 hours late with a high quote.
