    Which way did they go?

Located off of Highway 89A, on the outskirts of Prescott Valley, with a view of Mingus Mountain, lies this 20 acre alpaca farm. As you drive-in, these adorable alpacas greet you with their stares! Are you coming to see us? Are you taking the tour? Yes, it was almost 1 o'clock and their tours start on the hour. With your $10 fee for the tour (I had a Groupon), you get a small bag of food, which is perfect for interaction but the result is not over feeding them. Each have their own unique features and personalities. The boys were definitely show off's and the girls so sweet! The tour is very informational and in-depth with someone who knows the answers to your questions. They have two little shops on site, one is The Alpaca Store, where I bought a few cool items but I can't wait to wear my "spit happens" mask! The other store is called Trinity Healing Connection, which has mainly healing crystals and products made with essential oils. I got a couple of items for our pets and a few for me. The only reason I am giving only four stars, is that masks were not worn by the people working on the premises. Not a big deal, as you can social distance, outside on the tour, but when you go into the two small shops, people affiliated with the alpaca farm were not wearing masks. I understand that Yavapai County does not have a mask mandate, but as business owners, they should take the responsibility to keep their guests safe. These adorable faces definitely put a smile on my face during these challenging times...can't wait to see them again!

This place is the real deal. We had so much fun on this tour and it's very close to prescott town. From Phoenix and the drive is very worth it. The alpacas are so friendly and Brian was amazing and provided us with any answers to our alpaca questions. Will definitely be back!

Wow! We had such a great time doing this tour! You can tell the owner really loves what he does and all the animals involved. It was really fun feeding and feeling the alpacas!

Not being able to get food, a table, a drink, or get on a hayride just isn't fun. Today we decided to try our luck at a new spot, Sunny Acres Farm. Sunny Acres took us roughly 30 minutes to drive to. Parking was close, easy, and free. Adult tickets are $10. My children (four and under) were free. Sunny Acres has a small storefront with pumpkins, baked goods, salsas, candy apples, etc. They have various vendors lined up on the short walk to the pumpkin patch. Vendors include artists, kettle corn, and other refreshments. Admission includes access to the petting zoo, bouncy house, pick your own flowers, hayride, corn hole, live music, corn maze, games, and playground. My son rode a pony for $2. The lines were either nonexistent or short. The employees (or perhaps owners?) were friendly, accommodating, and provided a family feel that other similar businesses lack. We ate a meal while we were there. We had hamburgers and hot dogs. I know they also had chili behind the storefront and various other food trucks, including ice cream and adult beverages (cocktails and craft beer). I can't think of anything Sunny Acres lacks. I'm actually afraid of word getting out and having to share this experience with too many people. But, this family farm is worth patronizing.
