Tazz Hitt, the lead plumber, contacted me directly, arrived promptly, and walked me through everything he was doing. He performed a thorough inspection of the generator, gas meter, and lines, explaining the process and safety considerations along the way. Thankfully, no leak was found on my property--we believe the smell may have been coming from a neighboring line--but having that level of diligence gave me real peace of mind. I also want to highlight Tina in the office, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and clearly advocated for getting me same-day service given the situation. Professional, responsive, and genuinely customer-focused--highly recommend!

He not only was flexible with his time, but his services. Jacob was thorough, helped us diagnosis a problem we didn't even know we had (cracked toilet), and even went pick up the new toilet at the store. He did all of the work needed quickly and effectively. His prices were fair and reasonable. He also hauled away the trash/old toilet!! I have added him as my go-to plumber and will definitely be using him if ever needed again, and spreading the word.

They got back to me immediately--literally within minutes, definitely under 30--and even followed up the next day with (multiple) phone calls since I kept missing their calls. I was able to get a plumber out the following day, and he quickly and professionally assessed the problem and wrote up a quote. He stayed responsive the whole time--text, Yelp, and phone--so I never had any issues with communication. Payment options were flexible too: you can pay upfront, or choose a zero-APR option if paid within 24 months. There are also lower monthly payment options, but those do come with interest. They may be expensive, but the job will be done right....at least according to the plumber I met.

Additionally, the fine print on the invoice says if you fail or late to pay the amount owed for the annual plans(such as credit card declined), you still owe them for any outstanding charges owed. I had my HVAC system installed just about two years ago, with an extended warranty. I went with…read moreCalloway & Sons solely based on their positive Yelp reviews as my friends really didn't have anyone to recommend. I'm not going to lie: getting this system installed in a home we were living in at the time was not a pleasure and I won't ever go through it again. We had to get the duct work done which is a horrifying mess (there's no way around it) and to Calloway & Son's credit, they did suggest we go with a split system. Live and learn. We also thought we were getting a system with zones which didn't happen and it was never fully explained why, but in these old homes with impossibly high ceilings and two levels, your bills are going to be extremely high if you have one single unit. It is what it is. I certainly don't blame them for that! But on to the most important stuff: the system is pretty good. Again, old house, not the greatest insulation and taking all that into consideration we are comfortable 80% of the year. The other 20% of times are where things are a less than awesome: this year's blizzard and any extremely cold days mean for a very hot upstairs, requiring us to run the window AC unit. And on those blistering hot summer days, there's no way we're comfortable upstairs without the window unit. Again, my house... it's ancient. It wasn't made for these types of systems. Last summer, there was a day in August when the system stopped working on a Friday. I was more than a little disappointed when I was told they couldn't give us a service visit unit until Monday. If you live here, you know it is literally unbearable to not have AC on a summer day. Luckily the very kind lady on the phone worked with us and fit us in. I also now pay for insurance that ensures priority service. I was only able to afford to get the HVAC on the owner's side of my two family house done and that was about 25K. The financing was not great... if I hadn't paid it off ASAP, it would have been almost double that. So try to pay it all upfront if possible. At least the option is there if you need it.
