My mower started to sputter down when in use. Called a few places that gave me a 2-3 week wait time. He had it up and running in 3 days. Looks and runs good as new! Couldn't be happier! read more

Charged me 300 for what he claimed would be full service on my riding mower as well as rebuild carburetor. Got home and wouldn't do anything but low idle until it finally died and wouldn't restart. Called him and took him days to answer the phone and when he did told me bring it back and it would be covered under warranty. Paid an extra 60.00 for a battery that lost its charge and wasn't sure why. No receipt and no description of work and only accepts cash. I brought it back and he claimed it was a missing spring for another 41.00 bc it wasn't covered under warranty. His tech told me it was bc the butterfly choke valve was sticking which would have been part of the carburetor rebuild. Hard to tell between two different stories. Got it home and ran for about 3 minutes and died never to start again. Decided to cut my loses and brought it to another shop (to the left of smitty's seafood) in Kenner. Yes it's busy season so it was 5 days but received a quality repair. He showed me all the filters that were dirty that weren't changed by this shop as well as provided a detailed parts list from the carburetor rebuild that he actually performed and repaired the battery short cashing the battery to drain that want diagnosed or repaired by this shop. Out the door 140.00 at the other shop for quality work and service. And a detailed parts list of what was repaired and receipt. read more

The worst service ever! Rude and disrespectful. The place is a dump, it smelled like an ash tray and was filthy. He didn't even look at my mower. Quoted me a hundred bucks and never even touched it. read more

I brought a mini-bike in for repair, never heard back from them...kept calling but no response.....don't do business with this man.

Very happy with honest work from this business. I'm always afraid to go into a business being a female not knowing if they would take advantage of me not knowing any better. Brought my lawn mower in on a Friday. I received a call Saturday afternoon said it was an easy fix. So happy happy happy. Place isn't fancy but outstanding work. read more

Upon entering office, seemingly pleasant elderly man with an elevated injured foot asked how he could help me. I presented a recoil assembly in need of repair or replacement. He said I'd need $50 cash and asked if I had cash, (My antennas reacted, but I didn't leave) to which I replied no. He then asked if I could get cash; I replied yes, and he said that's what I needed to do. He asked me to call Pat in from the shop so that he could see if he had the necessary part(s). I was told again to "go get cash". Pat located a part, but there was some concern as to whether it was compatible, so I waited to see if it would work before visiting an A.T.M. Elderly man told me again to get the cash, to which I replied, "I'm going to wait to see if it's going to work first." He then angrily told Pat to give me my things back because "She doesn't want to do what I told her to do." Pat gave him the parts I'd brought in, he put them back in the bag, shoved them toward me and told me to get out of the shop. A friend later referred me to Joe's Lawnmower Shop, 504-821-2350, 2725 Lexington Ave., Kenner, LA. My recoil assembly will be ready in 3 days. *BONUS* I do not have a fondness for using social media, however, my truly horrible experience with this "Lawnmower Man" prompted me to take to the keyboard to warn others off. i was calling around for a cheap part for my mower. i called the lawnmower man and was told that he didnt stock the part (hence the 4 stars) he then tells me where to call, and give me the number of the place (Vaughns in kenner) this guy gets my vote!!! this is what local small business is supposed to be about, not jerks like at Joes lawnmower which were horrible!!! read more
