I brought my sputtering mower in, and was so surprised that Bo and team submitted the work as warranty as all was approved so no out of pocket expense! But beyond, when I picked up the unit..I had to ask Bo if they brought the right unit out to me..it was cleaned and tuned up to the point of looking and working as if I had a brand new machine! I come from the school of Lean Mfg. and just walking into their shop was pleasant--everything neat, labeled, organized, clean! I was so surprised that Bo wasn't out to charge outrageous money for and in fact suggested that he would try for Warranty approval first. ( I had taken this unit to a shop in Uptown, paid $90 in service fees, Owner had trouble even finding my unit, then told me he spray cleaned the carburetor, worked ok for 1 mowing ). I'm passionate about keeping my lawn up and so to have my mower returned almost like it was new..shiny, clean, and purring... thank you thank you thank you!

I paid $450 to fix my washer/dryer combo because the dryer drum was loose. I also paid that amount to help Brandon since it was a two-man job. I have no idea why the owner didn't come out to help or send someone to help. Anyway, a knob was damaged during the repair. I thought I could glue it which I discovered later didn't work. Brandon "tested" the dryer and the drum was fixed but I was not shown that the heat source was working. It may have been at that time but a week later when I actually needed to do laundry I realized the heat source in the dryer was not working. Upon contacting the owner I was interrupted and spoken over and basically told I needed to hire an electrician on top of paying them to test the voltage in the outlet. I decided to cut my losses with Bolt at this point. I don't want them to touch my appliances. At this time, it takes about four days to dry clothing just restarting the dryer every time it stops and it's now squeaking incessantly. Bolt didn't fix it, they made it worse and it cost me $450 that I could have put towards a new unit. My mistake was only looking at their Thumbtack reviews. Also, this was NOT Brandon's fault. Update: had an electrician come out today. There's nothing wrong with the outlet voltage. So Bolt charged me $450 to break my appliance.

I am a woman living alone & did not feel fully safe after the tech gave an analogy about God's love and free will that opened with "if I kidnapped you and locked you in my basement and made you my wife..." - so instead of pushing back firmly I just tried to smile and nod my way through it. After he left I realized how deeply inappropriate and unprofessional the interaction was. It also turned out there was nothing actually wrong with my dryer (seems like it had just frozen up, but worked fine when he first arrived and tested it), so I paid $180 for him to clean dust from the unit with a toothbrush while telling me I was going to hell. I am still trying to unpack the whole situation. He also kept trying to convince me to go to his megachurch, Victory Life. I don't think it's appropriate to proselytize on the job? I've taken a couple of other tools over there and recently took my weedwacker over to show them a part that I wanted to get (the little rubber primer bulb) but they wouldn't order it for me. No knowledge of car type stuff, easy target to try to rip off. I had a hole filled in a tire at a different tire place, and they told me I needed new tires, bad..... I wasn't about to pay up $500 right there for new tires (what they obviously were trying to trick me into doing). I buy my tires used and cheap! So today I finally made my way over to this place, all the way out in Marrero, but well worth it! When I got there, the guy working there told me straight out that I don't need new tires and they still have a good 4 months left on them. He also repaired the last repair job for me, because where they patched it was leaking air. He also discovered another slow leaking hole and patched it too. All of this for $7!!! The original patch that started leaking only a month later cost me almost $30!!! I really appreciated their honesty, because they could have easily sold me new tires today. I am a TP customer for life now. Now I need to go write a 1 star review for the Tire Kingdom!
