Do not be duped over the low budget, Atlanta "celebrities " who are promoting her work on her page…read more Trust me, she is very careful to braid their hair properly and give them exactly what they want. I too paid over $400 for Mimi to tree braid my hair. When I asked her for the color brown, she stated that was considered highlights and was $25 extra. I was leaving out of town the next day and had no time to get another hairstylist the same day, so I paid up. I began to lose my braids within one week. I had not wet my scalp or even sprayed my hair within the first week. I had many braids around my edges that had slipped one to 2 inches. Others fell out. I had to reinstall them myself. When I contacted her to let her know this, she says that she advertises that you will lose some braids. I have yet to find that in writing anywhere on her page or any of her web links. She also tried to say that my hair was really soft and that's why it would not hold the braid and that I should try to use some hairspray to keep the braid in place. Ridiculous! I also have many braids that have my hair exposed. So, again, she advertises that your hair is not exposed, but braided down to the end. When I text her to advise her of this, she never responded. My braiding hair also began to get extremely tangled and very dry, even though I sprayed it daily, after waiting a week, with water and conditioner, mixed with a little bit of oil. I was careful to only spray the curly hair and not the base of my head. PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. The other reviews are totally true. I wish I could warn people on Instagram, but the post would just be deleted. I really don't want people to spend money with her. If I pay $400, my braids should last for at least four weeks.

I loved the color she applied, I really wanted a natural caramel color (I have brown hair) and it was perfect. This is my third time in this salon and I loved it. The first time I went there, I bought a Groupon. I asked her if it was possible to remove the red color before doing highlights and she nailed it. She applied a blue base that cut the red. Since then, I haven't had any problems with the color. I highly recommended her. You will not be disappointed.

I went to trim my hair and asked to have some layers added. Well...I wish I had thought of taking pictures of the before and my walking out pictures. All I could think was..."what the heck kind of cut is this?" After asking her why my bangs looked the way they did and her response, and afraid she would cut more, I just looked at her, paid for this horrible mess, and out I went. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. She also always had some story to tell about not knowing what to do to pay for something that was happening in her family's life. As much as I try to sympathize with her, I felt that was inappropriate.

She was cutting my hair for about 25 minutes. when I left the salon I asked my friend to take a picture of my hair and I saw an absolutely terrible haircut. I immediately returned to the salon and told about it, she started to prove to me that my hair cannot be cut in a straight line due to the structure (my hair is a little fluffy in wet weather), I told her, let's straighten my hair and see. She straightened my hair, the situation has not changed, she said that this is because that she didn't straighten my hair completely, but just a little bit, then another hairdresser came and said that let's fix and cut more, I didn't want to let them cut, asked for money back, they said that they were not going to return the money to me in any case. I had to go to another salon and pay one more time, because of the women who absolutely do not see the difference between a straight line and a zigzag. The first picture of their haircut. my hair hasn't straightened after their "wonderful" salon. second picture of my hair after being cut in a normal salon. I would put 0 stars

I have only had my hair braided 3 or 4 times but this pain was enough to make me never want to go again.. If you are tender headed, please choose another shop. Pros: 1. very very nice young lady braided my hair.she was very pleasant to talk to. 2. She was very willing and accommodating. She had immediate openings. 3. She is open 7 days a week. 4. Shop was clean and quiet Cons: 1. She was 35 mins late and didnt call. 2. She only accepts cash. I had to cash app her and she required me to pay for the fee for instant deposit which i dont feel is the responsibility of the client. I still tipped her. 3. Braids are VERY TIGHT. i am not very familiar with braids but i was told to take a pain pill prior to going so i didnt actually feel the pain until a few hrs afterwards. 2 days later and i was still popping pills. Very difficult to rest at night. My scalp is very irritated and i can feel a lot of bumps in the back of my head. After i return from the beach i will be removing these braids even though its a waste of money. 4. My braids dont look fresh. Im not sure what to do to correct it. The attached pic is from day one. I have strands of hair that are a lot longer than the rest of the braids. 5. Braids are spaced out and my scalp is showing. I am embarrassed. This shop did not work out for me. She was more expensive than my other shop and her braids do not look professional and after a week i am still in pain if i touch.
